  1. if you want to do it properly, ring round some workshops and get a quote to do; timing belt, tensioner bearing, idler bearing, bottom air con pulley bearing, water pump and cam seals! then normal stuff like belts etc. Worth fitting an adjustable cam gear while its all apart if you have future plans for the car too. hope this helps

  15. good to hear a few will be there! havent been for a while! Depends how many numbers they get but 10:30 should be sweet i would say. Usually by bout 2-3pm track is pretty quiet due to people gettin sick of it or cars are startin to show signs on a floggin! cheap motel room in benalla which is bout 5 mins away could be an option for ya too! heard that s/c'd M3 was a pretty impressive piece of gear! lookin forward to it!
  16. depends on what you wanna do with the car mate, tarmac, track-street or just street use. Pm sydneykid, he is pretty switched on with what spring rates are right for applications.
  17. Hey all, As above im after a cable from laptop to emanage blue unit. Happy to buy a box of beers or whatever for the lend, wanting to play round with it weekend of 5th and 6th of july. Im in south eastern suberbs of melb! thanks heaps brett
  18. above is a good thread! dont need a cams licence at winton fun days though. really depends how hard you wanna go and for how long as to weather you need new front pads. If your planning on driving back to melb at the end of the day i would definatly recomend puttin some new fronts in. beats having worn pads putting an early end to your day! would b good 2 get a few sau's up there for the day! brett
  19. Winton have another fun day on 12th of july, anyone else heading up? $25 for a day on the track. Run in half hour sessions, one with passangers, one without. Just need 2 bring long sleeves, pants and a helmet. Car gets scruteneered just 2 check for loose items etc For more info visit www.wintonmotorraceway.com.au brett
  20. my opinion, if you know what compression your looking for in each cylinder any mechanic can do it, no need 2 pay someone more for the same thing. As said above just make sure they have a good quality accurate guage just my 2 cents
  21. probably best off gettin a mobile mechanic to come do it. pretty straight forward, just make sure he has a GOOD quality guage, not a $40 supercheap special. hope this helps brett
