  1. Yeah damn straight man... The world is completely powerless to the sheer amount of HEKTIK that radiates from your rotaries!! It blows hippies and nerds right off the footpath when you drive past aye?
  2. Wow... you took that pretty lightly! Glad to hear you got the car back!
  3. *second last word*
  4. Hmmm weird I've heard otherwise.. What would you use instead? The R888's are even softer than the RA-1's arent they?? A lot of people seem to think that the R888's are an awesome tyre...Softness of the compound isnt usually directly related to the heat tolerance is it?
  5. So Corinne - what happens if we dont make the 40, do you know? The day will still run with a smaller field?
  6. Just make sure you get a Series II bezel!!
  7. From: http://www.answers.com/topic/sports-car "A sports car is an automobile designed for performance driving. Most sports cars are rear-wheel drive, have two seats, two doors, and are designed for precise handling, acceleration, and aesthetics. A sports car's dominant considerations are: superior road handling, braking, manoeuvrability, low weight, and high power, rather than passenger space, comfort, and fuel economy." A monaro certainly doesnt have 'low weight' so NO i dont classify a monaro as a sports car!
  8. A 2-door coupe that out of the factory does 0-100 in 6.x seconds and covers the 1/4 mile in just over 14 sec is not a 'sports car'??
  9. Have you even checked that there is oil in the engine and that it hasnt all leaked out or something?? If you havent got any coolant in the radiator I'd be checking this as well! As per Poida's advice, getting a real mechanic to have a look at it would be the smartest option.
  10. Haha... Search search search SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH...
  11. You can try cleaning out your AAC valve also. This has solved hunting and idle issues for other people in the past. You will find a DIY in the FAQ/DIY section (although it is for RB25DET it might not be too different). Are you sure you've checked all lines and piping to the IC and vacuum system? Has the vacuum lines been removed and possibly replaced in the wrong spot or similar?
  12. Agree with all of that although AFIAK the powerfc doesnt have volatile memory so if the battery is removed/disconnected for a long period the PFC shouldnt lose its tune.. And.. yeah coolant in the radiator is the first step!!
  13. So you have $13k to spend - but you're looking at buying a new model WRX? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p;#entry2979268
  14. eh? Ok first question - What does "installed my intercooler roughly" mean? You either install it or you dont!? Boost/vacuum leak = idling issues
  15. Erm.. so why is it between an S2 R33 OR a new Rex? They are like completely different price brackets! S2 R33 Skyline - $15-20k New model Rex - $30-50k *lost*
  16. Ummm... Something tells me you're not a qualified mechanic... Is this a serious post!? And please dont post the same thing in multiple areas!!
  17. Absolutely.. Less grip is expected when you look at the treadwear rating Falken RT615 - 200 R compounds are generally 60 or below
  18. There is a big difference in price between the RT615 and any R compound though $220 for RT615 - $300+ for R Comps
  19. Very small.. trendy place. On a good night you get some of the older beautiful people crowd.. nice joint
  20. You dont get much other choice at cargo do you?
  21. My company is the major sponsor for a vehicle in the Fujitsu V8 Supercar series, I think that's as close as I will get!
  22. Group buy is not a bad idea... it might be a bit difficult to find a Brand/tyre/compound that everyone likes though... Wish it were possible though! Anyone wanna buy some Toyo Semi's ??
  23. I'm trying to buy a full set of Toyo RA-1 Semi slick tyres for supersprint use. Every tyre place I have called has quoted me dead on recommended retail price, and won't budge an cent in pricing!! The best price I got was RRP, but with a free strip and fit to mount the tyres ($60 value )... What gives? With any other form of retail, there is usually some discount below RRP. Does anyone know if tyre places accept motor trade pricing like other automotive places? I'm happy to pay for normal profit margins but I can't bear to pay RRP! Yes I am a cheapass!
  24. Yeah i caught a bit of Dirty South at Good Vibrations.. He sounded the goods! Future music festival is gonna be the bomb!
