Buddy, if only the petrol price was the only thing that was rising in cost... food, real estate, schooling/uni, public transport are all on the rise... even your local plumber down the road will up his fees... so if you think that your increasing salary will cover your fuel costs, think again.

Is Mazda as expensive as Honda to maintain? I want to buy a 4 cyl car like a later model Corolla and was also looking at Mazda 3... Mazda 3 looks pretty good. The car needs to be auto, 4 cyl that drinks no more than 9 litres per 100 KMs and which is regular unleaded.

Thats what you and the likes said last year, and will say the same next year... in space of three years you will be paying 40 bucks more for a full petrol tank. I have sold my Skyline to buy a house and a new Corolla... f**k the oil companies. BTW, cut the foreplay and make the petrol 2 bucks a litre... then only the rich will be able to drive, there will be less cars on the roads and the planet will breath easier.

Na mate with 1 litre of regular unleaded to hit $1.60 within weeks it'll be more like: "Hey guys I just sold my left kidney for a full tank of Ultimate... this drive to have dinner at my GF's folks better be worth it!"

Actually, thats as far from the truth as you can get. Super cars like Ferrari, Lambos and Koenegsigg attract more teenage BOYS than anything else.. so unles you have some gay/pedo fantasy, it won't do you any good with the ladies.

Good for you. IMO Toorak is a tight concrete shoebox, unles you spend a few million on a property and have more than 600 SQm property. Brighton is a much better place to live in Melbourne. If you want dump, go to Adeer and West Sunshine, Werribee and the likes.

Since when anything east of Sandringham was considered a dump? Anything east of Sandringham is far from being a dump and is still worth "reasonable" price: Hampton East median house $650 K, Moorabin median house $650 K and Cheltenham median house is $458 K. Dump my ass lol

430 = 400 K or there abouts. Murci = 600 K or there abouts. GTR = 150 K A beach side house in Melbourne around Sandringham area would be around 750 K. No accountants needed.

What is the difference between owning the grey import Prius (2000 and under) as opposed to the Aussie delivered Prius 2001+? Will Toyota service dealer try and rip you off as far as partsand service costs go?

Actually thinking now, I am glad i sold my Skyline, just as i did, the petrol hit 1.52 for UNLEADED, so V power or ultimate would be close to 1.62.
