Ok I'm going to fly my noob flag a little bit.
I buy the stock solid hose and that goes from my bov to.... Is their another blocked off hose point somewhere?
Also a new bellmouth dump pipe what size are they? Do I need a larger one?
I tend to agree, their are so many wearable items to constantly go through from bushes and rubber to seals and degradable items that the non serviceable bits should be on the bottom of the list unless broken. When was the last time EVERY bush and mount was replaced, if anything staying on top of these even pedantically will stop any damage to the static items
Firstly I apologies if this has been covered but either my search function sucks balls or I just can't find anything on the topic?
Ok so my exhaust is a 3" turbo back job but has a custom screamer pipe and a blocked bov for dose
Neither of these things appeal to me
The car has a td05 turbo gtr injectors FMIC and a few other goodies making about 210rwkw at 1bar
The reason I say this is I have 2 questions
Will a stock bov set up either still blocked or plumbed in properly be ok on these boost levels? am I going to loose any power or have more lag or response yadayada,
Looking for a slightly more legal and city friendly sound. I actually don't mind the flutter but yea anyway.
And the other question is what's the best way to plumb both of these things in properly? I know the screamer needs to enter the exhaust system before the cat.
The screamer makes sence to me but I'm not even sure if my blocked bov is a stock unit? Pick below.
Sorry I will also add that I have a limited understanding of the pipe work, how much would a shop slug me without being dicks to remove the screamer pipe and plumb it in?
Thanks in advance for the help and sorry if theirs a million threads already existing.
Ok here's a weird one,
I have my r32 gtst with remote central locking with alarm for reference,
When I put the window down left or right , usually when I get all the way to the top or bottom, the left door locks?
Would this just be a crossed wire?
I'm not that fussed about he cold start , pre throttle blip rev die down. More fusses about the constant idel misfire which I assume matches wih my "sometimes" boost missfire
So new brand coilpacks don't just bolt up? Bah got more reading to do I see,
I had wound my boost controller. Ack one click. Weird thing is I'm still maki almost 1 bar boost... Anyway in the cooler weather it seems to not miss
But on first start up u need to rev a few times cos it can die after falling the revs. After a couple of throttle blips it stay in idel but does have a misfire on idle still, I will start with plugs
Well their black coilpacks will change them regardless I think, where is a good place to buy them (SA) and how much should I expect to pay?
Also thanks kitto for the helpfull info, I will ask decs to check the tune when I can get the car to barker and have it off the road for enough time.
Not sure what the coilpacks are or really how old they are, same deal with spark plugs ATM,
What's the best value coilpacks for the job and who do I speak to about them
Also will do my plugs obviously, Do I gap at 8mm?
