  1. Yup Cherry Racer's came in a couple of months earlier from Iron Chef as well- he has 34,000 kms from memory..... Nice car as well. Cheers The Baron
  2. Well my completely stock 1994 VSpec2 with documented 17,300 kms, Grade 5A, full books and service history nudged $42K by the time I got it in my garage........ (that'd be the car in line 8 on the spreadsheet ;-) Cheers The Baron
  3. Very glad this all ended up ok :-) Now go and buy yourself a nice one and don't forget to post it up Good luck in your future endeavours and glad to be of service Cheers The Baron
  4. Here is mine. I have no reason to doubt mine is non-genuine.....
  5. You'd better be getting that back too...... Cheers The Baron
  6. Yes - yes I do... sometimes I personalise the message for example: <<< Cheers The personal Baron >>> Cheers The not sure why I do this - but it amuses me Baron ;-)
  7. Hallelujah - we saved another one :-) Cheers The Baron
  8. I really hope this works out and that Edifier ends up with a clean car and his deposit back. Would be an awesome outcome Cheers The Baron
  9. The topic you want is here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/426222-if-youre-happy-with-your-import-car-who-brought-it-in/ These are the good guys....... ....but if its Iron Chef you're after - and he currently leads the polling - the number is: 0402 904 069 (Kristian) Its who I used and I am very happy. Cheers and best of luck The Baron
  10. Hello, interested in rear interior trim (passenger side) - particularly the vinyl covered part for the lower part of the b-pillar and then extending back. Also dash if no bubble in usual spot..... Please pm pictures :-) Cheers Andreas
  11. Unfortunately I am in Melbourne - otherwise I would offer to come along..........anyone in Sydney prepared to help a fellow forum member and help sink the boot into EL?? Cheers The Baron
  12. correct - but rough estimate - EL would not charge 'themselves' 5 K for compliance and GST is usually at reduced cost (nudge, nudege - wink, wink) I think 40k is not unrealistic but even your 46K shows how poor this deal is for OP Cheers The Baron
  13. Which is the kind of damage you get when you graze a kerb while sliding the tail out on a track....... Cheers The Baron
  14. So 3 million yen = $31,000 AUD 10% GST = $3000 Shipping = $1500 Compliance = $5000 total cost to EL = approx $40,000 !!!!! You paid $55,000 !!!!! You do the math...... Cheers The Baron
  15. to the OP YOU DO NOT WANT THIS CAR !!!! Get your money back Cheers The Baron
  16. Just to add..... You put a deposit down on a car that had 50,000 kms on it. The dealer came back and said 'ooops its actually closer to 90,000 to 100,000' - with all the recent media attention on 'wound back odometers' you will have absolutely no problem in getting your deposit back. After all - the product you secured with your deposit is not what you will end up with. Its what I would do in this case. I hope I am wrong and that the car turns out to be what you wanted....... Good luck The Baron
  17. Just an additional observation (and focussing on the car as requested). In the Japan pic, the two 'clips' holding either side of the radiator are clearly a brown rusty colour, in the Australia picture they are jet black. This suggests a respray or touch up which leads me to ask what else has been "cosmetically enhanced" to disguise an underlying problem?? Wear on steering wheel and gear lever in Japan picture suggests far greater kilometres.... Be very careful.... Cheers The Baron
  18. When I was looking for my car (and before reading too much about EL) I had a look at one of their cars. Same deal - car was in Japan - I got pictures etc..... Now I was smart enough and knew enough to ask some detailed questions about problem peculiar to the car I was looking for (an R32 GTR Vspec 2) only to find EL obfuscating, avoiding or plain ignoring my requests. Needless to say I did not proceed with the purchase - Despite "lovely" calls from Mr Lee on how fantastic their reputqation was, how long they've done this, how typical the car was etc...... I went with the Iron Chef instead and now own one of the finest examples in the country. My advice - even if its a thousand bucks deposit - walk away - ney run away..... Then go to the "Import" tab on this forum - find the thread on "who imported your car and who are you happy with", select one of the names (Iron Chef is there as well as others) and start from there. Yes it'll take a couple of months - but you'll be happy. Whatever your deposit is - you'll save it back going this way and end up with a better car. Just my 2c Cheers The Baron
  19. I have a virtually stock R32 VSpec II. The only mods are a new stereo (kept the original one - btw if anyone knows wherther Nissan ever supplied a 'microdisk player' as an option ?? - coz that's what was in it and it had a Nissan sticker on it.....), and a quick release steering wheel (strictly for security) The car is what I've always wanted and even though I top out at 196 rwkW, it seems plenty. To me the car is almost like an original japanese sword - yes there are cheaper ones, sharper ones, better ones out there but to me that does not detract from its inherent value. Please don't misunderstand, there is a part of me that would love to take a $20K R32 GTR and throw a bucket of (good and tasteful) mods on it........I just can't imagine doing that to my car....... Maybe the only solution is to have one of each...... Now where did I put that spare $40k........ Cheers The unmodded Baron
  20. This guy KSR Electrics 9762 1011 Did my R32 GTR - very happy Cheers The Baron
  21. Well if you ever want to get rid of that unit - just let me know - will pay a fair price...... and great tip on the Maxima radio - there's a local Nissan wrecker where I might have a look... Cheers The Baron
  22. Those rims make my eyes bleed.......but I know its for a greater cause....... Is that an OEM Radio ?? If so where did you get it?? Cheers The Baron
  23. boot light - cunning...... will check and try the multi meter as well Thanks
  24. Thanks for the feedback, my money is on the alarm being the culprit ........ Will get it checked out, but in the meantime for <$80 buck I got myself a CTEK MX3.6 to charge the battery and then trickle charge it (my old battery charger was shite anyway......) Cheers The Baron
