Yeah i was wondering about that but i dont think thats what it is as it never had an issue before. Makes me thing something blew because it just died and was never intermitent prior to that.

can you get a photo of the damage? Make it easy to determine whether it is easily fixable or should just be replaced

Surely there isnt a designated fuse just for the tachometer?

if they wanted to know your specs they could simply outlay the small cost to buy one

Hey Guys, Got my car dyno tuned on the weekend its an r33 gts-t and while it was on the dyno the tacho stopped working. Has anyone ever experienced a similiar issue to this? or have any ideas why it died while it was on the dyno.. The powerfc handcontroller still displays revs so i assumes its got nothing to do with the signal from the coils Anyway any help would be much appreciated. Regards, Dan

R33 GTS-T Hi-flow Turbo Apexi PowerFc + HC Trust Turbo Back Exhaust + Split Dump Bleed Valve Boost Controller set to 10Psi ARC Sidemount Intercooler Pod Filter + Cold Air Box Made 281.4rwhp The intercooler became a restriction at 280 rwhp so it was very safely and economically tuned at that point. Will upgrade intercooler at a later date and wind some more timing + boost into it. Special thanks to Paul & Michael who tuned my car at Elite Automotive in Archerfield. I highly recommend Elite they are very good at what they do and fantastic to deal with. So if you in the area and want a good tune done they tune various ecu's so give Paul a call .. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask ill try get a photo of the dyno sheet up asap.

9000 revs :| rev limiter must have been cut on the ecu.. Get a powerfc for your next upgrade that will handle any other modifications you want to throw at the car from then on.

I hope your planning on runnign a big turbo to make use of those injectors and the lack of respone youll get from the thicker headgasket?

advantages is you wont have the restrictions of the factory ecu and it can the powerfc tuned will make the most out of all the modifications giving the car not just more peak power but making the power throughout the rev range that much better aswell.

You can use a apexi boost control kit that goes with the powerfc. Or you can just run a seperate boost controll unit. The boost controll kit with the powerfc is a little extra but if you havnt bought a controller yet id go with that and get it at the same time you can buy it with the group buy aswell.

Have a look in the trader section search a user by the name of performance-wise he does group buys on powerfc's with the handcontroll for under 1000 delivered i just bought a unit through him very good to deal with. They are a complete engine management computer which replaces the standard ecu allowing the car to be very efficiently tuned getting the most out of the engine and its modifications.

He isnt having a cry about anything and he actually owns a rather quick car and knows what you need to do to achieve that sort of power... He is being realisitcs considering your modifications. So either there is more there that you are unaware about or its possible the reading is incorrect.
