Hey, went to exhaust tech here in adelaide and was just wondering if i just get a dump pipe put on to a 3.5 inch system with no resonator just the muffler box. On a rb20DET would this be un barable(spelling) should i do it?

Yeah i know ones a sports car and ones a luxury car whatever. But to prove this point of weather to block of the bov is bad or not. That is what im saying

K what about this for proof then say what u will, correct me if im wrong ok. RB20DET R32 yeah its got a bov, Goes "shhhhhh"(or whatever) due to bov VS RB20DET Laurel, Cefiro no bov, Flutter due to no bov. OK im not sure if the turbos are different but theroedically(spelling) u could block the bov off on the r32 to make it the same as the Cefiro or Laurel. Yeah whatta think? Is that proof? or not? dunno.

I dont know if this helps but my car clicks whenever i turn the wheel cos my steering rack needs to be overhauled. The r32s steering racks bugger up pretty quick around the 100k mark. But id desnt sond like it comes from there all the time but. Another thing is i have on my car is cos its a fourdoor the seat belt is pretty slack once its on(due to the sorter front door). The socket or whatever u want to call, it clicks everytime i move it clicks dunno why but it clicks, very annoying.

yeah its a "high mounted brake light" on all the new cars it has them. part of ur compliance says that u gotta have one. If u take ur wing off cops wont pull u over for it but u really "legally" gotta have it. but meh whatever

Ok here goes, firstly my car is auto at the moment and in drive it revs at like 1000RPM, when it gets put into park it revs at like 1500RPM. (This is buggered because i cant really put my turbo timer on cos its reving too high for it to cool down or whatever) How do i fix this problem? Im getting a manual gearbox put in on monday, do think that it make will stay at one rev range not between 1000RPM to 1500RPM. On the compliance tag on my bonnet it says that its gotta idle at 750 RPM. How do u adjust the idle on the RB20. Ive tried to screw that screw in and out on the AAC valve on the back of the plume but nothing happens at all. How do i do it? One other thing is theat when its warmed up, when i re start the motor it revs right up to 2000RPM then drops down then shoots back up to 2000RPM again, how do i fix this? This problem is pissing me off its been like it for a while now, can any boy help? Cheers.

As you guys all know on a R32 fourdoor you can easily put on wider front guards. But is there any way u could put on rear guards and still be able to use the rear doors? Thanks

Get some spray paint and spray it onto them. Or take em to a powder coater for a professional job

yeah thats for sale here in south australia at four brothers imports (FBI) its pretty cut and shut. there is a huge opening at the back of the bonnet where it meets the window, it doesnt match up well, totally different car. Its pretty interesting i stood there scratching my head looking at it for quite a while, whatever floats ur boat eh also on the topic of R34 fronts there is a celsor in south australia cruising around with a R34 front too

Hey guys sorry if this is a repost but i was wondering how do you put a after market bov in the RB20. Does the stock bov have to stay or can you take it off and put an aftermarket bov in its place? If this it right wouldnt it have to be a plumb back blow off valve so that it still dumps the air back into the air box. It will stall if the air is not returned to the system, yes? The thing is i dont want it to return to the airbox i want to have it venting straight out. How is this done effectively. Would you have to plumb in an aftermarket bov and leave the stock bov there aswell? cheers

i saw a dude in a S12 and he just had one of those racheting straps between the struts and he just tightned it up with the rachet. dunno if it worked, but you could try it before you went out and bought one. backyard styles.

Hey hows it going guys, I was wondering, when seeing my mates cefiro motor it doesnt seem to have a stock blow off valve and when you change gears it flutters. Now if you look at my r32 its got a stock bov and when u change gears you can here the bov going off, no flutter. You guys probably have your different opinions on this but its about blocking the stock bov on the r32. Now it comes down to my question if both cars have a the RB20 does that mean, because the cefiro hasnt got a bov the stock turbo is gonna give up quicker? Cos isnt this chopping or fluttering sound bad for ur stock ceramic turbo? If it is alright for the cefiro to not have a bov would it be alright for a r32 to have its bov removed? If any one can shead some light on this area it would be much appreciated. Didnt nissan put a stock bov on it for a reason, to protect the turbo from that back pressure then causing the flutter sound? why dont cefiros have a bov? This has had me baffled for quite a while now, what do u guys think then? Cheers. ps. sorry about all the questions.

Hey guys, Is it worth rebuilding my own RB20DET in my R32 or would i just be better off going and getting a semi-stock RB25DET and putting in in my car. In terms of the power output which engine is the better one to work? Can RB20DET after market performance parts be picked up easlily in Australia? Cheers

Im getting a manual converson on my R32 and i was just looking around and got stuck on whether to put a R33 box in my car or a R32 box. Which would be better. Has any body done this. cheers

Hey guys, My R32's turbo is heaps sucky just before it comes on boost. i put a pod in it and now its heaps louder. Compared to my mates r32 his has no where near as much suction. Its still got grunt and you can feel the boost come straight on, so i dont think that im loosing power (well i dont think its been like it since i bought it) Could it be that my turbo is stuffed?, or could it be a vacume leak somewhere? Any help will be appreciated.
