  1. I claim that you work with retards

Will also add that I've had my iPhone 4 for 2 years, have dropped it onto concrete, bricks, tiles, sat on it, had my stupid drunken mate knock it out of my hand and kick it across the bricks (that scratched it), got it wet, you name it.

    I also don't use a case.

But, my opinion is just as worthless as yours because personal experiences mean jack shit when there's about 200 million of the things out there.

  2. You dudes played close quarters/gun game?

I was skeptical as I always hated all the close quarters rocketry/grenadey shenanigans, but I have to say - it's awesome! Probably because there are no rockets and grenades must be earned right at the end.

Takes uber concentration though, can't really handle more than 2 games in a row!

  3. I had a 2010 MBP with a Geforce 330M, that played things like counter-strike source with no issues, really you could play most games, maybe just on lower settings. BF3 wouldnt run at all though, haha.

The new ones have a GTX650M, not sure how they compare though.

  4. Just replaced my Sammy 2443BW with a S27A750D

    It's got 120hz and 3D with active glasses (1920x1080)

I gotta say, 120hz is freaking awesome! The difference it makes in FPS games is huge, everything just looks.. buttery.

I've had a play around with the 3D, and it's definitely cool, but I'm not entirely sold. It makes aiming in FPS games very hard. GTA4 was amazing, but I had to turn the graphics down a fair bit to make it playable. Might have to invest in a second GTX670 down the track ;)

I would recommend this monitor to anyone, with two caveats- it's still a large monitor with a 1080p output, so it's not the sharpest thing in the world, and secondly that you really need a bit of graphical horsepower to make it worthwhile.

  5. Yep, Z77 is just a 'type' of motherboard.. it's the best one for Ivy Bridge because it has a few new features (Z68 was the best Sandy Bridge platform). A Z77 board will run all socket 1155 processors (i3,i5,i7,Celeron etc). If you want an Ivy Bridge i5, then the 3570/3570K is the best one.

  6. Most Sandys will run at 1600mhz. Official supported speed on an i5 is 1333 but as long as your bios lets you change your RAM speed settings, you can go to 1600mhz. i7s won't go any faster than 1600.

And in reality, I'd be surprised if you saw a difference in performance between the two anyway.

The hyperthreading might help a fraction with rendering, but that will be largely offset by the i5s OC ability.

Nah, Sandy Bridge supports up to 2133mhz ram.

Ivy Bridge can go up to 2666 I'm pretty sure.

  7. razer black widow ultimate i regret my purchase as there are better keyboards about but its still readlly nice some of the gaming lock out functions are good but there are still better about

I just got one of these today.. It was between this one and the Steelseries 7G for me.

I chose the Black Widow because the keys are back-lit, and because it has the 'clicky' blue cherry switches, which I like the feel of. The Steelseries has brown switches which are similar in feel but lack the click.

It's a noisy bastard though, hahah!

  8. I bought one last week.

It's by far the best portable device I've ever used, it can be mentioned in the same class as PS3/Xbox.

Be aware you have to buy a memory card, that's a bit of a hidden cost.

The only other concern is long term developer support, but it seems pretty good so far.

See my tax time thread :)

  9. Man, I just got some nerd thrills..

In Uncharted, you find some old parchment that is sensitive to light. The game makes you physically hold the Vita right up to a light bulb, so that the camera will sense the bright light. So cool!!

Pity if you were playing somewhere in the dark though, you'd get stuck, baha.

  10. Since it's that time where the Gillster gives us some of our money back!

    I bought a PS VITA

It came wtith Uncharted, and I also bought the Metal Gear Solid collection, as well as Wipeout 2048.

It's a pretty amazing little thing, graphics are near as good enough to PS3/Xbox quality.

    What did you buy?

  11. Some of the most common complaints Android users make are "The OS is too restrictive" "Steve Jobs is telling you what you can and cant do" "Why can't they use a normal plug like everyone else" "Android can load custom roms blah blah"

What they fail to realise is that most people (and this includes tech-savvy people) don't give a shit about about these complaints.

That doesn't make them stupid, or their product choice less valid. It just means they'd rather be doing other things with their phones.

  12. damn son that sucks.. I know what it's like to get injured again just as you recovered and thought good progress was starting to happen.. head up, soldier on

Yeah I'm spewing, especially because it's Uni break and I was looking forward to getting stuck right into training again.

Talked to my cousin, basically it's no exercise for a week, no weights for at least 2 weeks, and no lower back training for at least 3.

Ah well, good excuse to play Xbox :P
