  6. Nar, just a curious punter. A little bit modded to come in under sevs? I am thinking that a work shop that has SEVs approval to bring in 4 door R34s would have some way to get around it? If you had the resources you could throw a Rb25 back in there. Jam the RB26 in a creat. Rip the rims of it and throw on a set of stockers. Throw the 26 and the wheels in a 40 foot container along with a set of Bride seats and what other crap you want. Get the thing complanced. sell the NEO motor to some lucky punter with the advantage of being able to see it run in a car. Slap the wheels back on and shoe horne the 26 back it. You then have a car that officaly has less then a 20 % increase in capacity that would be as easy as shit to get enginered. Or, you find out of a enginering work shop that has just closed down. find some one with a enginers certificate from that bussiness. Scan the certificate and adjust the details to suit on the certificate. Print it out and Get the bastard laminated and stuff it in the glovebox of your car. Not that I would recommend this option. One would have to ask, would all the frigging around be worth it? Well.. the car is cheap enough?? especially compared to a R34 GTR.. There probaly is a easier & more legal way to go about it?? EG: move to Japan for 12 months?? Import it as a race rally non compliance weapon. Make for an exspensive Drift car?? I thought there may have been some one with the resources and the know how that may be interested in such a speciment. After all, Auto Sports in Sydney import INSANE cars regualy??? <_<

  12. Run your amp so it's switched by your head unit when it's on. Mount a simple toggle switch or similar to break the circuit and kill the amp when you do not want it to run. That way you just have a manual overide. think about where you might want to mount the switch? Centre consol, some where in the dash etc. Run into dick smith and see what they have they will mount easily and not look to out of place. You could use any 2 position switch. It would only have to carry 2 amps or some thing like that so any thing will switch it.

Features include an internal crossover and subsonic filter, line level outputs, fan-forced cooling, and a low frequency EQ with full parametric operation. Performance I’ll give it to you straight — You’d be hard pressed to find one that performs better overall than the MRV-1507. I’ve seen a whole lot of class A/B’s in this power range over the past few years and have come to dread them. They’re usually the biggest of pains to deal with and are often frighteningly unstable. Anything that draws 140 amps and hums like a high voltage transformer is bound to cause some apprehension. There are times when one feels led to probe the limits carefully, lest the magic smoke should appear. By comparison, the MRV-1507 ran with no more fuss than a good amp half it’s size. Of course, it has a much larger appetite than a 100-watt x 2 unit, but it’s very well behaved and produces impressive performance specs. Signal-to-noise of 118 dB and 36 percent efficiency at 1/3 power are pretty rare numbers, especially in a kilowatt amp. Connections & Adjustments The MVR-1507’s chassis is laid out with power connections on one end and input/output connections and configuration switches at the other. All of the units variable controls are located on top of the heat sink with a protective cover. Connections to the amp include RCA inputs, RCA line level outputs, and 1/2-inch spade receptacles for all power and speaker connections. The amp has an extra B+ connection, which can be used to bypass the internal fuse and line choke. Switched adjustments include input mode, phase invert, crossover enable, and parametric EQ enable. Installation A parametric bass EQ? Hello, now you’ve really got my attention. Simple bass boost is one of the most useless features in car audio. It wasn’t designed to fix problems; rather, the idea was to give the customer more of what they already had (bass). If you don’t know any better, or are primarily concerned with being obnoxiously loud, that might sound like a good idea. However, if you’re looking for SQ and do know better, then an arrangement such as the one found here will be much more likely to satisfy. The ability to cut rather than boost is particularly helpful. You can actually smooth a lump in response with a little bit of cut, but all the boost in the world will never correct a destructive resonance. Try removing what you don’t want rather than boosting what you do — it really works. (Alpine reports that this is part of the company’s BassEngine system concept — it allows users to maximize the sound quality and impact of bass reproduction in any vehicle.) At about 2.4 x 10.3 x 21 inches, and about 19 pounds, the MRV-1507 definitely won’t fall into the small amp category. However, it appears to have a decent heat sink design in addition to fan-forced cooling. All controls are either recessed or otherwise protected and, well, it’s just a good looking amp. The subdued matte gray and brushed aluminum finish indicates that there are a few companies in mobile audio that have retained some measure of class. There’s more than enough room on the top of the MRV-1507 for one of those 1500-watt MAX POWER blurbs, but Alpine didn’t go that route. I guess tacky amps aren’t in their repertoire.
  20. That makes sense. Sounded like it was running quite well. Hard not to hear it... The little club car that burried it self at the end of the main straight dumped sand all over the track when it came back on. I was down there with a mate in the black GTS-T with the front mount and the bar missing. Showed up in shorts and shirt, spent most the day watching from the car. Are you still looking for a worker Bob? I just moved home from the snow and I am yet to find work.
  21. Got to love the golburn wind. MADGTR, saw you all crossed up at corner one a few times with the rear end hanging out. I thought to my self that your tyres must have been shit house. I would hate to pay for a decent set of tyres to suit those rims. Would have been nice to see a rwd skyline or the 180SX out for the drift session. That big hp RX4 with the red P plate driver was just plain scary.. A suspension up grade would go a long way on a car like that. The guy driving the maron VP Commodore looked like he was having a ball hanging the tail out on the exit of most corners. Any one know any thing about the filming that was been done of the old ford capri with the big port rotar in it? Was it getting a shake down or some thing? The driver seemed to be circulating below it's capacity for the first half of the day.
