  1. Actually I dont mind if the glass is damaged on removal, as im replacing it Im thinking i have to slice through the urethane sealant and just yank it?
  2. Hey guys Ive decided to replace my rear quarter windows after smearing them with some oil covered rag, now unable to get the streaks off. They must be permanently embedded in the glass. Anyway, Ive got to this point: Can anyone point me further? The workshop manual seems to skip this step! Does it just pry off from here, or are there screws I cant see? Thanks in advance, Andrew
  3. Hi guys After these 3 pieces, in Melbourne only. Ive somehow managed to get permanent oil streaks on the windows that not even acetone will remove... Please call on 0400012218 or PM on here even if you have just 1 of these pieces. Thanks! Andrew

  6. Best news ive heard in ages... I'll get all those things checked when i get me new cluth put in next week...
  7. Possibly, but would it sound like it was coming from the middle like that if it was a wheel? Hmmm... Also, forget what I said about the noise not being there in reverse... it actually is, i just wasnt listening hard enough that time...
  8. Hey guys This noise has been coming from my gearbox area for quite some time now, and i've finally had it, ive put up with it long enough. This was recorded with my phone right at the gearstick, as I rolled at about 15km/h. The noise seems to be directly linked to the motion of the wheels. Whilst the car is moving, the noise is making, no matter what gear (even in neutral) and no matter if the clutch is engaged or not. As the car rolls to a stop, the noise disappears, and is silent on idle. Youll notice the noise doesnt really change in intensity as i accelerate either... Any thoughts? Its bugging me no end!!!! Ive read up till the cows came home on input shaft bearings, thrust bearings, etc etc - what about the tailshaft? Could this explain why its linked to the movement of the car? Cheers Andrew **Update, just did some testing and the noise is NOT audible when the car is reversing.....** Noise.mp3
  9. HI guys, located in melbourne, after a set of these. If anyone knows anyone selling or has a set laying around (<--HA) then let me know. Cheers! Andrew
  10. Ive got a noise too - sounds a bit like a low, constant breathing sound...the time when its most audible is when im rolling to a stop, in gear or in neutral, with the clutch pedal IN. Once the car comes to a halt, the noise ceases. Cant hear it any other time because of the exhaust, but I assume its there. Any ideas on what this could be? New clutch going in next week, will get them to change release & thrust bearings...
  11. My nismo one goes woo woo woo woo but doesnt really bother me....

Ran into R34PER on nepean highway, didnt think it was feasible to chase you with a full car and slipping clutch mate
  14. Basically, if the source image is decent enough to start with, it will blow up fine. It wont be super crystal clear, but enough to look good from viewing distance...
  15. Agreed with you mate - sadly to properly vectorize a photo of a car and get it to look realistic, takes far longer to pull off than what most people can spare... These 2 were done in at uni, - the Rx7 took an on and off period of 6 months (engine bay was a KILLER)... the lambo slightly less because it was simpler, but still 2 months plus... if we're to get a realistic looking car, we have to make do with what imagery we can find... thankfully CS3 photoshop has a new method of enlargement that has impressed me so far... Youd wanna start with at least a very large wallpaper sized image though... either that or a file sourced straight from the digital camera... the likes of which would be very hard to come by I think.
  16. Ive got this problem now too, but I saw it coming and its easy to pinpoint it... leaky injectors.. time for an upgrade
  17. I whole heartedly agree
  18. So this is it - a mechanic who shall remain nameless lost the key to my locknut. There is VERY little space around the nut for a ratchet to slip over it, by the looks of things smashing it off somehow will be the way to go. Anyone have any ideas? Andrew

Indeed you did Glendetta but I was in the process of replacing my CAS housing which I so clumsily snapped.... As for getting off my ass? Still working on that

Looks like it was a great day out - I need to hurry and get my membership sorted so I can come on the next one!
  21. Hi guys, After the housing that the CAS bolts into at the front of the motor. Looks like a ring with a rounded kind of bevel. URGENT, as mine just snapped off.. =(
