  1. Had a look at a '96 s2 r33 today. Just wanted to clarify a few things... the vin on the firewall was ECR33-102113 build plate engine number RB25DET 2498 build plate chassis F55R30A RC41 Model number GGKBRTFR33UDA-A-AA then i had a look at the import approval on the strut tower Approval number 13993 04/01 VIN 6T91MPR04T1JPL005 i cant remember what the rego sticker said, sorry. Now am i missing something or should the import approval vin match the one on the firewall? or the model no on the build plate? also with the blue build plate i read on the forums that it should be smooth, but the one i looked at had been stamped, or engraved, i could feel the ridges to each number. is this right? I know that some of the imports get the km wound back and i think this did as well as the odo showed 56K km but there was a sticker on the cam cover that said its 100Kkm service was at 124Kkm on 04/01. i dont really expect a car to do less then 5Kkm a year, even a import. and another thing that was a bit dodgy was that the radiator water was a bit murky, brown like. sort of rusty or something. this doesnt look like a good sign to me. it should be green or something. he said that the car did have a front mount on it but he took it off after a car with a tow ball reveresed into the skyline. he said that the tow ball protruded into the air gap in the front bar and damaged only the intercooler so the stock one has been placed back on it. i sort of think that it may of damaged a bit more then that??? But on the plus side, it was my first drive of a skyline and i was impressed. the car drove really well with the lowered suspension. the boost came on strong and early although the original boost gauge was not working, the bov was a little annoying. the car looked tops with 350z 18s on it. i didnt even know that they fitted straight on, bolt on? one problem was i was slowing down from a half decent speed and the brakes locked up. i didnt mean for them too (but it was good in a way)-i didnt even think i was slowing real hard, but a great big puff of smoke came from the front wheels and i didnt feel the abs. dont all s2 have abs? anyway im pretty impressed with it and will continue on my endevour to find one that feels right. at least it is a good base for other cars. any help with the issues raised would be great
  2. Car looks hot with those rims. love the dish. what type are they?
  3. Mine was genuine, but i guess not decent? Looks like a top car anyhow, good luck with the sale giffo.
  4. Wouldn't it need to be taken back to stock? or maybe not cause it is a privatley owned import?
  5. Giffo, Im having a look at the pics now.
  6. So by looking at a s2, how can i tell if it is a type m or not?
  7. Yeah i just thought only minor differences. But did the type m have more options from nissan?
  8. Had a quick search... What the difference does a type m model have over a normal gtst in the r33 guise?
  9. Where are you located? What tyres are on them? Percentage of tyre left on the rims?
