Could you go into a bit more detail as to why the S1 airbag wheel is different to the S2 airbag wheel? Size/shape/fitting/stitching/etc?

Anyone else used the jrd ones? Same quality?

Well you don't know the role of a police officer then. If you don't know what they were doing you can't assume they were doing nothing at all.

But the S1 that did have the air bag option were the same steering wheel as a S2?

Are the S2 steering wheels the same as the S1? Yes? No?

Sounds like Nissan went a bit cheap on supplying different models with different wheels. Just give them all the same!

So the steering wheel itself contains the devices used to deploy it? The car just sends and electric signal to the wheel? Is the s14a and the 180sx type x from '97 on?

Well if they are that easy it should be alright? but you dont need special tools or anything? Was just a bit worried about the airbag assembly.
