    Thought I would throw up an update..

    Ended up going with an ROSS balancer...

    .84 T04z on a 6 boost manifold & turbo smart pro-gate

    Motor is in the car & fitted, just waiting on the new injectors (old one's had variances when tested) to arrive, fuel set-up, dump and cooler piping to be done before she gets run in.

    Roughly 2 weeks before she's on the road again.

    Comments: The unit itself is in great condition, however the controller has faded in colour. Looking at the controller you can tell it wasn't from being left in the sun or bad care, the finish on these controller was not very resistant to colour fade (un-like the black) It belonged to my mechanic and has since upgraded to LINK (T51 powered 26/30 :) )

    There was a limited build run of approx 100 units of the D1 Limited Edition D1 style hand controller. This was a gold stylish hand controller and worked just the same as the normal hand controller units. I Suspect it was a plain run of X001 hand controller to suit most models as there was only 100 made. From all that I can see its simply a gold case

    Oil Pump Upgrade, When Is It Needed?

    hey guys im wondering what makes the need for an oil pump upgrade neccesary? if i run the motor to the stock rpm limit and make more power does it need to upgraded or only when u raise the rev limiter?

    say i wanna make 500rwhp with a stock gtr oil pump with a rev limit of 7000rpm max, is this gonna be fine? i know an oil pump upgrade is reccomended because everyone does it for "safety" but why exactly? surely the difference in a motor making 300hp and 500hp is bugger all if the rpm limit is still the same?

    seeing as it is an engine out mod, you would do it when you pop the motor or choose to build the motor.

    Luck of the dice really, 7000rpm should be fine with regular servicing and an overfilled sump. Only a matter of time.

    "It's repairable and the car is still pretty straight. Just some expensive and 1 off parts that will have to be binned. Pretty much just a rear end lock up, kicked out hard and ran tarmac to pull it up. Took out a small tree and stoved the front into a rock. Better luck next year. Gotta stay true to my sig. On a positive though that motor was amazing all weekend and from what i've removed so far it looks fine."
