The way the foreigners have over fished all of our local fishing spots and catch well over legal limits theres pretty much no good local fishing haunts left unless you go off-shore. Best bet is THE little river fishing farm. Like shooting fish in a barrel . I really hate greedy FU*kers....... that spoil t it for others. When my son is old enough I would like to take him fishing as well. But with the on onslaught of people from the east and foreigners over fishing theres going to be buckleys of that happening. END Rant...... The reason for me saying foreigners and easties is because a friend of mine is a fisheries officer and deals with these people constantly at the coal face.

Thanks for all the advise guys. rockabilly- You compared your last engine build with this new 26/30 you have built. But you didn't mention if you had cams in the previous rebuilt 26, which I would think would make a difference when compared to the hybrid. Also you have made changes to the exhaust and turbo configuration. So would this be a fair comparison.... ? I could be way of track, but by having done such an involved build yourself and by the looks of additional hardware you bought for your hybrid it seems you are very biased towards the hybrid. Although you said you have noticed that the turbos spool faster and its a "smoother ride". But you haven't yet tested it to it's full capabilities yet? nor has it been running a long time so as of yet you can't comment on reliability either... SO WHAT I'M REALLY AFTER is a person who has had the experience of driving both a well built rb30/26 (well meaning - RIPS built or specialist performance shop built with a history of that particular type of engine build) aswell as have drive a 2.8 HKS stroker kitted RB26DETT motor or 2.7 jun etc etc. I'm in WA the most known R32 GTR is ANT scali's NFSPEED GTR which runs a 2.8 HKS KIT I believe... I haven't seen any examples of hybrid out there yet to step up to mark, well at least in WA. But I could be wrong.... Thats why im leaning towards the 2.8 kit step 1 with my current config....

Who Rebuilt the engine? Who Tuned the engine? cheers mate -
After reading alot of threads, posts and infomation from PM's I'm left feeling like my mind is scattered in a thousand directions, kinda like the result of a bull in a china shop. So I guess I'm after abit of direction.... what better place then here:) MY GOAL : RB26 DETT Built to be responsive and very punchy. Very torque’y through the mid range. It’s paramount for ENGINE to be reliable AND STRONG. Its main use will be a street weapon I currently have : Tomei Poncams Type B 260 / 260 9.15 lift Garrett 2860-r turbos 700cc sard inj's 040 bosh fuel pump - intank Nismo Fuel reg Apexi Power FC D-jettro Spitfire coil packs TRUST FMIC Sard racing radiator Full Dual racing N1 spec Kakimoto exhaust. Dual 75mm pipes back to each dump. Apexi intake pipes and pods ATM I'm favouring a RB26/30 hybrid for torque and powerband it enables the engine to have. Without having to do insane revs... Although I have heard a 2.8HKS step 1 stroker kit is very good also... Any advise from people who actually have such configurations in their GTR's or have some exp in dealing with such engine configerations. Thanks in advance. Rob

Steve, a mate of mine from the UK (wiltshire) has a set of 18 LMGT-4 copies on his GTR. Although he said poor quality and deff second rate materials. He found this out after going over some road works (not like 2 meter holes or anythinh excessive) and it cause a crack in the rim, the tyre went flat and rim was bent and then took it too a specialist mag rim repairer and said it was unrepairable.... Could have been bad luck.... but after reading that I bought genuine nismos.... I had em up in a recent post. very nice, excellant quality. But not having seen the rotas in the flesh its hard to compare.... but alls I can say is Nismo rims are The Business.

Being mindful of dans warning, I have the following question ask ANT on behalf of a friend who had a query about aforemntioed car. You mentioned your car had a full respray. (1) Did this include taking out all of the GLASS (front and rear and side glass) and replacing all the seals and molding with new Nissan OEM parts? (2) Also what brand of paint was used for respray? (ie glasurit, PPG, DULON, Sikkens etc etc) (3) Car taken back to bare metal or spray over? Thanks for answering questions relating to your car for sale on the behalf of a interested party. Rob

Nissan are really being tight lipped about info on the new GTR. A good mate of mine Stephen Barnes, who works for northside said there was not extra details / specs he can provide when submitting a offer to purchase. Stephen you are the second to put their name down, thats brilliant Jash.

Just one of things matey, shit happens. No point crying over spilt milk and crying to mama. Just get it repaired or save ya pennies for a HKS item sport:)

Getting Rid Of Clutch
SysLink67 replied to jantolis's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
+1 besides "U ASS" advocates japan spec because its in his business interest. Jim Berry's clutch's are cost effective, purpose built and service is beyond reproach. -
what is your budget that you are allowing for a R32 GTR?
