  4. D-Day Practice, Oran Park North - 7th October 2006 This event will be the usual - all drift, all day on the north circuit at Oran park. Onto and over the bridge and around the back are non-drift areas, we will be running the two different track configurations throughout the day for you to enjoy. We're also running a new and hopefully regular feature of our days - an award for BEST AT EVENT. A session in the afternoon will be open to all entered drivers on the day, and will judged by us. The driver who pulls off what we consider to be the best individual run will win themselves a trophy and free entry to the next IDA event they enter. If you have a CAMS licence, bring it with you. If you're a member and have received your membership card, bring it with you. PRICES: Initial Drift Club Member: $110 Non-member: $140 Yearly Initial Drift Membership: $170 for the first year. Includes t-shirt, stickers, membership card and discounts on track day prices and free gate entry to most events. Available on the day. Yearly Associate Membership: $50 per year. Gives you membership in a CAMS affiliated club and the ability to hold a CAMS L2NS licence, which is required. No other benefits. Available on the day. CAMS L2NS licence: $46 NOTE: The CAMS licence is a once-yearly payment. After applying for one, you will eventually receive a licence in the mail that can be used at all of our events for one year. If you signed up for one last time and have not yet received it, please bring the tear-off bit you received. PLEASE NOTE: All drivers at Initial Drift events must now hold a membership in a CAMS affiliated car club, and must hold at least an L2NS CAMS licence. If you do not hold either of these, you can join Initial Drift on the morning as either an associate member or full member. These are valid for one year, and allow you to enter future events with more ease. If you were warned by Eric the scrutineer about something on your car, and you turn up to this event with the same thing wrong, you will not be allowed to drive until it is fixed. This goes especially for harnesses not bearing the correct approval tags or mountings or being out of date, for poorly installed rollcages and seats, poorly installed oil catch tanks or anything else like that. Here's how to work out how much it costs for you: If you're an Initial Drift member with a CAMS licence, it's $110 If you're not an Initial Drift member, but have a CAMS licence, it's $140 If you're an Initial Drift Associate Member with a CAMS licence, it's $140 If you want to join with a yearly Associate Membership it's $140 + $50 +$46 = $236 If you want to join with a yearly Full Membership, it's $110 + $170 +$46 = $326 TIMES: SIGN ON: 8:00AM - 9:15AM SCRUTINEERING: 8:00AM - 9:15AM COMPULSORY DRIVER BRIEFING: 9:15AM - 9:30AM TRACK ACTIVITY: 9:30AM - 4:30PM with a short break for lunch. Regarding scrutineering: We are now having to enforce the new CAMS rules for our class - the biggest thing that people don't have are blue battery triangles. Basically, you need a blue triangle with 150mm sides pointing where the battery is in your car on the bodywork. If you're not sure, bring some blue electrical tape along, and ask Eric the scrutineer. HOW TO ENTER: # Complete the ENTRY FORM <-- Click Link To Open. # Read it and fill it out. # Email the form to us to secure your spot. # Deposit your money into the bank account on the entry form (by direct deposit either on the internet or at your bank), and make sure you put the remitter name as your name, and put ORANNORTH or something similar as the description. Passengers $20 (approved cars and drivers only) A NOTE FOR DRIVERS - HAVING BEEN APPROVED FOR PASSENGERS AT PREVIOUS EVENTS DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL BE PERMITTED TO CARRY PASSENGERS AT THIS EVENT. A lot of drivers have been observed consistently drifting beyond their control and crashing with passengers in their car. They will not be allowed to carry passengers at this event. Spectator entry is $10 Initial Drift member entry is FREE if you show your membership card. If you have joined and not yet received your card there will be a list at the gate. PRE-ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THURSDAY THE 31ST EVENING, AS THE PAYMENT MUST HAVE 24 HOURS TO CLEAR BEFORE YOU SECURE A PLACE Entries can be made on the morning, but prepayments are preferred. Due to the extra administration required, drivers who do not prepay will no longer be refunded gate entry. If you prepay, your name will go on the gate list for free entry, or if you're a member, entry is free if you show your membership card. Posted up on behalf for IDA - Alexi, Pete & James
