lou15x replied to lou15x's topic in New South Wales
yep michael, will do so really soon... -
Model, price and location, thanks. If they're not ride adjustable, I'll have to take a ride in the car with them on first. Cheers, Louis

1 pair S14/R33 wheels $120 1 pair FTO wheels w/ 40% 205/50 rubber $120 ...or the lot for $200 Size: 16" x 6.5" Pcd: 5x114.3mm Offset: S14/R33 - et40mm, FTO - et38mm Despite less offset on the FTO wheels, they will not clear front 4 piston callipers and rear 2 piston callipers due to the spoke design, but may possibly fit rear of S14/15. Ideal drift/burnout wheels if u've got expensive rubber on your big wheels. All wheels will also fit Magna and Maxima.

hi pple, the wakefield calendar says it's an open day :uh-huh: i plan to go, so if anyone else is keen, just wave ur hand in here... no commitment required, just meet up somewhere and head down together or something... cheers, louis :burnout:

i've nvr been on eastern creek once but i'm keen since it's during my uni break... i was actually planning to head down to wakefield on either of 1/2/3 oct as these are open days... i've heard eastern creek is a higher speed track relative to wakefield? i'm a novice so that is a bit of a concern doing high speeds...

lou15x replied to lou15x's topic in New South Wales

sidewaymambo, do ur eyelids have a smooth or rough surface? rough = more work... if urs are ready to be sprayed, maybe we can get the guy to chop another $50 off... anyhow, let's wait to see if michael can get cheaper... cheers, louis -

lou15x replied to lou15x's topic in New South Wales
i don't know how we're gonna do other colors... i've just got a quote from this guy who did my car from the 99 hail and he's quoted me $150 to do my grille and eyelids... my eyelids are a pretty rough job so they need some repairing and i've been quoted up to double elsewhere to do the same job, so i figure this guy's price is pretty ok... now for the group spray, if sidewaymambo's eyelids are as rough as mine and michael's 2 bumpers are ready to spray, the job will cost around $750... i'm ready to spray btw, this place is in botany... cheers, louis -

i know jack about spraying but one painter told me that even to spray my grille and eyelids will require the use of a spraybooth... so if we were to fix any non removable panels, the whole car will have to go in... we'll see how it goes... meanwhile maybe u can get a quote from any of the panel shops u trust and see what they can fix up for us as well till date, item list is: 2 bumpers, 4 eyelids, 1 grille, panels??? -

Michael, If you can get pics of the damage to be repaired that'll make it easier for the painters to quote us... Last time I asked, the going rate was about $400 for a front bar... Like you said, lil extra parts cost next to nothing to spray so yeah, I'll ring around too... Cheers, Louis:cool: -

hey michael, i'm not sure if it may actually be cheaper to spray up at newie... i actually don't mind getting the stuff sprayed in newie if that's more convenient for u, cos i don't have a regular panel beater (not something i'd like to have anyway)... asap is good but there's no hurry really... silverwater? that'll be croydon i think? i don't mind paying $150 to anyone if they can get it done, extras to keep if there's any... cheers, louis -
i've got a set but i'm in sydney... make an offer

hey marcus, yeah i'll come say hi next time i see u hey xcuzme, yeah i see ur car around a bit too, last time was at bondi jnct last week... what happenend to ur side? brings pain to the heart to see something like that... yeah we should meet up soon, anybody keen on going to wakefield during the break? p.s. shld start another thread? cos this has gotten off topic and the moderators may frown upon that...

sorry to hear bout the loss rac33r, and soopamarcus bout ur friend's gtt... always see the gtt along engineering walk... i dun mean to kill all hopes, but my mr2 was stolen on a saturday afternoon in april 2000... i was overseas and had left the car with a friend in macquarie to sell... i placed the ad in the trading post and some guy rang my friend up to come see the car... when he showed up, my friend drove the car out of the garage and made a boo-boo by leaving the engine running when he got out of the car... just then, someone else rang my friend to ask about the car (probably the guy's accomplice)... as my friend was getting distracted by the phone call, the guy who came to "see" the car hopped in and sped off... the car was recovered the next morning in campsie, stripped of all panels, interior, wheels and stereo... thankfully it was insured... ever since, my frens and i always have another quick car on standby whenever any of us are selling our cars... one tip is to separate the key from the alarm/immobiliser remote control and keep the control on your body so u can arm the car if you get thrown out...

Hi people, I've got a fibreglass grille and eyelids that I want to get sprayed to fit to my maroon ride. I was quoted no less than $250 to do the job. If anyone is getting their maroon Skyline resprayed or having a kit fitted, I'll be interested to share the costs by paying the extra amount it'll cost plus a carton of beer. Cheers, Louis Free beer! C'mon someone with a maroon Skyline about to do a paintjob must like free beer!
