I have personally not attempted Bathurst at high speeds (normal driving speed), but have tried both Oran Park and Wakey on streets and semis. Wakey is fine... plenty of room for 'failing', Oran Park on the other hand is quite scary on streets. There is simply a noticable difference between a street tyre and a semi, especially when cornering near walls (such as Bathurst).
This said my street tyres were Federal 595ss which were fine for about 2 laps of Oran GP. With the semis, it can take a lap for them to come up to temp....
So in short LOL.... if you get yourself a decent street tyre/semi... such as Federal 595ss or RT615's (something similar) I think you would have no reason not to attend.... as each event is simply a quick sprint... not consecutive laps...
It comes down how hard you want to drive. A semi will allow you to push the cornering/grip that extra 10-20%, but on a track like Bathurst, you would almost be silly to push it that hard.... I know i wont be!!
