Well as i said i was unable to make it due to having to go check out my cefiro and decide on whether to give em the 'go ahead' with the engine swap. I did make it down to the Shell servo to say hi to Nissaner & CC. I think next time we need to make the organisation a bit better. Sorry if it caused any probs.....i did say I was gonna be a 'no show'. Was good to put some names and faces to fellow ceffie owners! :uh-huh: I decided after taking my ceffie for a spin that it really does need a new engine.....running like an absolute dog....about 40% power loss....so in goes a new engine & hopefully pickup locked in for Sat fortnight! It also gave me an opportunity to 'identify' a few other issues........me thinks it needs the guards rolled considering it was rubbing harder than a $2 whore! :werd: Anyone had this done to their cefiro??? Cost?, workshops to do it!? :confused: Apart from a couple of new tyres and getting used to driving with a cage, all should be good to go! Neways thanx again to Tom for letting me whore along for the ride in his ceffie, to the workshop and our round trip around Sydney ahahahahhahah :cuddle: Ando

CC - Thanks for the moral support champ! It is a situation excatly as u explained it. Spend the $1000 on something that could be put to something else down the track. I am going to head out there Sat so definatly am a no show...SORRY GUYS!!!! I might pop down and say g'day if anyone is meeting up at the shell servo @ 9am??!!! I will take the car for a drive and see how bad it is 'missing' and make the call then and there. I think i am leaning towards just dropping another RB20 in for the $1000 as later down the track i can always get some money back when i do the engine swap. At least then its on the road! Oh well, time will tell!

CC - Chief may have to decide closer to end of week champ.....just got a few things to decide atm...i was thinking of heading over to the workshop on Sat to have a discussion about it all. I am torn between a few options atm. The car is still driveable but is obviously 'missing' a fair bit. I don't know whether to - a) Pick car up and garage it till can afford to redo RB25, SR20 conversion B) Bite the bullet and tell em to drop in another RB20 which would be done for around $1000 (great price i think) c) Find out how much cost to drop SR20 in it now........anyone know if this is a straight drop in, or would it require other mods. Really didnt budget for this but hey....this is what importing is all about! lol oh well...... CC i'll pm u closer to the date and let u know! Really appricate the offer of the passenger whoring.....mould or no mould it'll be sweet! Ando P.S. Does anyone know where i can source 2x tyres (2nd hand, don't have to be new) 205/60/15 ?? Need em to get rego'd. Any help or places advise would be greatly appreciated! Also approx costs. Cheers

Well unless the engine gods are on my side i will be a no show! Upon realising the car was 'missing' a compression / leak down test has confirmed it is down on 2 cylinders...... Maybe new engine time....who knows...must say thou the blokes are being great about it all...so helpful! Maybe i should see how much it is for em to drop a RB25 in since they are swapping neways! :aroused: Anyways yeah so i most prob wont be able to make it....... :flamed:

Okay well i think the date and destination seems to locked in. 4th June, Drive to Lithgow, via Bell Line Rd, lunch, hang around & head back. As for meeting points i think that Penrith Panthers sounds like a good idea for our main point of meetup. What i was thinking was maybe have a second meeting point for the Cefiro's from around the Northside area to meet @ the Shell Petrol station on Epping Road, Lane Cove. Commonly refer'd to as 'The Space Station'. I think most people who live around that area know the one i am talking about. So all that want to meet there, rendevous for approx 9am, then head out to Penrith for a 10am meetup with everyone else. Sound good? Check the pics below for map locations for those not so sure. If there any objections to any of this, please jump in as i am just simply making suggestions!!! P.S. Nytrda, depending on where u are coming from, either place is pretty easy to find....just bring a street directory for Syd lol If you have any trouble ill PM you my mobile # closer to the date. I am open to other destination suggestions but a drive up the mountains sounds good to me! Where is the cruise? Undecided but i am keen on the idea of heading to mountains...IE lithgow....Leura etc...just my thought. Meet at Homebush P6 in morning when are we going on the cruise? Weekend of the 4-5 June....Think we should lock in the Sat 4th as some are busy on the Sunday why aren't we going on the cruise now? Because a couple of people have pleaded to hold off (like me oopps) for various reason...commitments, car mods, etc and so on and so forth....

I don't care where we go!! I will just be happy to behind the wheel of my Cefiro finally! Should be great so have a large turnout of Ceffies!!! Maybe we could head up to wisemen's ferry way??? Im going thru this dilehma atm.....thinking i might just go the ARC 600x300x75 core and get some custom piping made up......not sure how this size core will fit behind the standard front bar?? Ne1 got this size FMIC hiding behind their stock front bar??? Riverside ?? etc?

All i want to ask for is BN rear bar and skirts with the URAS front bar......like how hard could that be??? really.....PFFT... i understand the Cefiro is not a large import in comparison but GGGEEESSSS you think it woul dbe easier than this to actually source one without trying to draw blood from a stone!!!! Rant Over lol

Hey there, Great site BTW! Seems some great prices and deals! I have a few questions to do with the FMIC's and fitting to a A31 88' Cefiro 1. Obviously none of the kits piping will fit straight on, or will they??? 2. Which of the kits would be the closet match? I have heard that the R32 is the best match. 3. Say custom piping is required.... what is the size and cost of just the ARC core? 4. Can you guys supply the appropriate custom piping for a clean bolt-on fit? 5. What cost u looking at for custom piping to be made up?? $500??? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated and im sure some Ceffie owners after a FMIC would be interested in the response Cheers, ANDO
