Stan, do you have the Autometer transmission temp gauge?
I'm watching one on ebay, thinking of getting it..
I want the easiest kind to install (accurate too of course)
If you don't, which type do you have and how hard was it to install?
I know, probably been answered - I've tried looking..just want a simple quick answer
At what point should the Auto transmission cooler be upgraded on an R34 GTT? What kind of power figure?
My auto cooler is going to have to be relocated in a couple of weeks..new mounting bracket fabricated, some new lines run etc so I'm just wondering whether I should just bite the bullet now and also upgrade the cooler to a larger unit while I'm at it and the bracket is being fabricated to fit.
Does the CAI box fit well? Use the original intake thingy on the side or anything like that?
...Would be interested depending how much postage would be on top? QLD 4124..
Your point?
People can say all they want but I had an 89 Silvia that was a straight import which I got in..04? It only had 20,000km on the clock. Don't try and argue because I had the servicing books and 2 mechanics have since had a look (because it's been pulled apart recently to have an RB20 dropped in) Both have said that the odometer hasn't been touched..& coincides with the overall condition of it at the time.
There is only 1 knock sensor wire coming from the SAFC II - the purple wire.
There are two knock sensors on your ECU. Knock Sensor 1 & Knock Sensor 2.
You need to get your purple wire (from your SAFC harness) and connect it to Knock Sensor 1 (on your ECU)- take the reading (as above)
Disconnect the purple wire and connect it to Knock Sensor 2 & take the reading.
Surely you received the manual when you bought it...? It's pretty straight forward if you have a read..
So have you painted the gauge section, air con etc as well?
The picture is a bit iffy for my eyes because the flash might have just made it look that way..
Looks good though same for Dan's too.
A non modified car is probably going to get you more money most of the time..
I myself paid a couple of $K more for a completely stock R34 rather than one that had been fiddled with.
$10,500 is a bit much IMO considering the km's on it.
There are a few on carsales for $10,000 with under 100,000kms..
(But then some people don't care about km's as much as I do.)
Just an idea, you could go have a look on cardomain and search through all the 33's on there. You're bound to find a few that have some good gauge installs.
No, not monitor mode..
Go to:
3. etc. >
3. Sensor chk >
"Knk : xxxxx" will be displayed down the bottom of the screen..
This is where you take your reading from.
You have to temporarily connect to knock sensor 1, take reading, connect to knock sensor 2, take a reading and then connect permanently to the one with the higher reading.
It is in the installation manual
