What does a N/A r33 make stock?!?!
NS2500 replied to YnVmE4's topic in Naturally Aspirated Performance
Here's what I got when I dyno'd my car. From the responses I got, it seems to be on target for a stock GTS. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=14584 -
Thanks guys, I've found out that it would cost the same if not more to build a RB30DE instead of just putting the turbo (RB25DET) engine in. What was suggested was to bore out the current block to 3L, saving a lot of hassle of getting the whole 3L engine in and connected to everything.

Turtle, He provides one free dyno run (no tuning) with every service. I think it's $90 just for the run, and $85/hr to dyno tune.

Mirror Image in Bulleen. The owner, Arthur, is a great bloke and is a big fan of skylines. Every time I've been there, there have been other skylines getting serviced as well.
-
Hmmm, shootout mode. My mechanic gives the car a dyno run every service so this is what you get. It is free after all. Which is the best mode to use?

I had my car dyno'd today. Here are the results: Stock standard With K&N Panel filter Car Details: Stock 1996 R33 GTS25 Type S 140.7rwhp (104.9rwkw)

Hi all, My current setup is getting a bit old - I've lost one of the key fobs and the one that's left is playing up a bit. I get the impression that Vipers are the way to go? Can I get one installed for under $500?
-
If you're meeting somewhere in Melbourne first, I might come along to that.... Phillip Island sounds the goods.
-
Just to bring this thread back on topic... I'm getting my car dynoed tomorrow, what should I expect? My car is a stock R33 GTS25 series 2, Type S. No intake mods, no outake mods.

It's the (Russian) Orthodox Good Friday, (and Easter this weekend).
-
I can't make it on Friday (unless it's in the morning), but I voted anyway... The Dandy lookout is nice but it's probably not the best place to cruise, and I'd say that you might find a few "tourists" heading up there being a public holiday.

Has anyone here built an RB30DE (RB25DE on RB30 block)? What was the cost and results?
-
Ryno is right, if you don't have those revs up forget about it. More so in R33. 3.8 Commodore is easy, 4.0 EFI Falcons are a bit harder - there's so much torque early on.
-
I can't see it doing anything more than obstructing air flow, even if "swirling" the air is better I'd suggest the performance benefit would be negligible. As for that exhaust thing...WTF?

I miss my car when I can't/don't drive it for a while... but that was nothing compared to waiting for the car to arrive!

3 years for Ps in Victoria. I thought I'd play it safe, so I bought a GTS when I was on Ps but as the other guys have said it seems the victorian police don't seem to care.

Looks like most people here are pretty happy with it being a BBQ at Jells Park. Maybe a cruise before/afterwards?
-
What kind of audio systems are you guys driving around with?
-
Cheers, you blokes (and the odd girl here and there) seem like a great bunch of people, can't wait to meet up. Is it BBQ or don't we know yet? I'll bring a flan...
