o my god what have i started ,the reason ive asked is because i made a air box cover one drunken night with a mate and it sat too close to the filter and my dyno run today gave me more down low and more in the mid range and at the top it dropped off up high because of the dumb mod i did. By the time we figured it out it was the air box cover it was all ready off the dyno it would of hit the 270+ and more torque. By the look of the graph the numbers where 259kw@754-250kw@790 the top post was an eg today it made more torque all the way thru and died at the last 1700rpm because of the air box restricting.ill fix it and run again . thanks guys for the replies.

whats more important a cars kw or the torque it makes. for eg 260kw 689 nm or 250kw 760 nm

i was talking to my good friend about this subject and how people are making a big deal of it so i showed him the post people have made ,he laughed his head off because he knows these guys well really well he was there many years ago working as a mechanic well be for most of you guys probably had license ,somethings people have said early in the post is true but most of it is crap.(his words not mine)he told me what happen and from my understanding it was a long time coming unfortunate but necessary . there is a moral to the story but he wont let me tell it.(long live the memory of bd4s)

thanks. it sounds easy but its not. the engine would of had to be put together then air brushed then cleared while working around the mechanic and doing it all in three weeks with out pissing off the spray painter ,the air brush dude and the mechanic.originally there was going to be a samurai sword on the plenum but i ran out off time.i still might do it.

you could ,it would be very very close i looked at it for a while you would need some serious bends,but i think the way it was done in my car is easier .
