  1. You can get a licensed installer to have a look at what immobiliser you have in your car and he can fill out an Immobiliser Certificate that you can fax off to them. They don't inspect your car untill you make a theft claim, so it is better to be safe than sorry.
  2. Mongoose is crap had one already, gave me nothing but problems, had to get it taken back out and fitted an Autowatch alarm (456rli) with anti-hijacking and works brilliantly
  3. Yes your just adding another immobiliser point, but if you want to be tricky cut the negative of the ignition coil and hide the switch somewhere where only you know
  4. Have you heard about Autowatch alarms they have a very good SMS paging alarm they call your phone and you can listen in on the thieves in your car and you can talk back to them not like the jaycar (franklins special) crap, if you go to far from your car then its gooone!
  5. Take out d/s kick panel and with a toech locate the large wiring loom behind fuse box and pull back rubber insulation to find a large grommit with a long flat head screwdriver punch a hole through it a few times to open up a hole that you can push your finger through then with the same screwdriver push through a long thin length of wire (a drawstring) and from the engine put your finger in through a hole in the corner down under the bonnet hinge and fish out the drawstring and tape the wires you need to run to that drawstring and puul through
  6. you can do it if one of the immobiliser circuits was a NC (normally closed) circuit with 2 diodes
  7. if you had an Autowatch 456 alarm then you would have an alarm and a turbo timer all in one and your alarm is armed and the car is locked from the time you you walk away like my car
  8. autowatch sirens are digital provided the alarm is disarmed you can disconnect your battery no problem
  9. they still are in business, one of the employees from there bought the stock from the liquidators and connected the old phone number and is running the business from his flat try them out 0297125522. I should Know I used to contract to them they had problems all over the place not only the override I used to spend up to 1 hour at times trying to get better range on the remotes after a brand new install they were crap ( they weren't even Australian Standards approved)
  10. thanks, I think is Brant any better? Their products aren't even Australian Standards
