  1. awwww, why not? perfect place to vent it all is right here!
  2. And I think i spotted Deluxe on Marion road, tuesday night, heading south at about 6:20 PM....
  3. I will be heading to ballarat in 2 weeks for a 21st (free alcomahol!! ) ...... Hope Victorian police aren't as bad as I have heard they are! DON'T SHOOT!!
  4. Spotted a neat 4 door black R33 at Hackham Woolworths carpark at around 3:00pm Was lowered, and had ROH rims (blade, i think) looked pretty neat, but must have kids, cause there were a lot of finger prints around the rear handles!!!
  5. I was talking about the kind of stuff shown on shows like "A current Affair", doing 150 plus kmh, street racing, donuts in main intersections etc... If you need to stop in a hurry in that instance, what are you going to do? (Even if you have wilwood calipers and vented rotors) My kids nearly get knocked over on their way to school at least once a month (Live across the road from the school), so I fear for their lives.... which is fair enough i think.. And the comments were made in relation to which party they voted for, not about if the cop was having a bad day... If thats the way it works, then no, I don't agree with cars being impounded cause someone dosen't like the look of you.... Touche'... I was called on it, and I lost. (BTW:The "look out nanna" call wasn't made by me.) I won't pull the video down.... don't see the point... but if a mod wants to delete it, fine. Sometimes I go off at the smallest things, for some reason, I snapped at this..... I expected to get flamed, and here we are... Carry on... (Yes, I admit I was showing off for a video..... you wouldn't?)
  6. If you drive like a dickhead on public roads, you deserve to lose your car. How dare you complain about measures put in place to stop idiotic behavior that could endanger the lives of MY CHILDREN!!! (And don't say you don't do it around others cars..... It's just a poor excuse) look at this, and imagine having to say sorry to me for killing them......... Your talk just points out that you have no concern for anyone else that yourself...... And if you did kill them because you were driving like an idiot, you could guarantee that I would slay you myself.... It would be worth going to jail for.... Flame me.... go for it.... my kids are worth an infinitive amount more than your car
  7. Nice... Sorry to hear your clutch died... Hope to see more pics later... Still working on it... Hope you guys are having fun.... Pics by tonight!!! I love the blue R34... and the black R32
  8. DIELECTRIC GREASE..... electrically conductive grease.... restores the connection to loose pins and sockets by bridging the gap made between the two.... Should have got it at the same time as the CO contact cleaner...... oh well, get some monday...
  9. Update.... I can't make it....... as my timing guide job won't be finished... (I don't think).... I am re-assembling it all now. But I will catch you all on the next cruise PLEASE... take some photos and post them in this thread...... I want to see a nice long line of tuff 'lines! .... Thanks to cubes and Madaz for making me feel welcome in the skyline community, even though I have a V8.... (but hey, it's still nissan!) remember..... PHOTOS!!
  10. No probs... Glad to help And saved you spending plenty of moulah on a new MAF ! PS, I should have posted this first... but you got it working OK anyway... http://www.q45.org/maf.html ^^^ May be different to the pics supplied, but you get the idea....
  11. Oh, forgot to mention. MY TIMING CHAIN GUIDES JUST ARRIVED FROM THE U.S.A! wOOt!!! Not making any promises, but I hope to have them in by the end of saturday (18th)... So , I might be able to make it after all! The kit looks something like this.....
  12. The early Q45's tend to suffer from this too. Have you tried cleaning it? Put dielectic grease on the connector? Checked to see if the connector is on snug? I cleaned mine with CO CONTACT CLEANER, but any electrical parts cleaner that leaves no residue will do the job just as well. Also, If you use a pod filter, whch requires oiling (K&N), the oil can actually coat the filament in the sensor, and cause it to act like it's dying. Get a can of electrical parts cleaner from just about any Auto parts store, and clean it!
  13. I liked it! Wish I had the skill to make clips/compilations like that with flash. (Don't even know where to start!!)
  14. VIP rims... on the way, once i can afford them, and i find the right ones... Can't lower it, because it has active hydraulic suspension... google "Q45 active suspension" to learn more V8 built by nissan, craps on Ford and GM efforts....
  15. Well, in that case..... here it is http://www.ozzie.q45.org/Cars/New%20Q%20video.wmv Just fast forward to the 3 minute mark if you want to skip the walk around of the car.(once downloaded of course) Video is a bit choppy, due to not having a capture card, but sound is fine.
  16. Man that's awesome. I literally started punching the air as if I had just found the car myself and it was my own when i read that. Feel good story for the week. Thanks for sharing. And yeah, I would shame the thieves too. Go knock on the neighbours doors of the house where you found it, to see if they lived there, or if it was just a mates place. Either way, tell them what happened, and ask if it's ok to put up a big sign saying "Car thieves live here ---->" on thier front lawn for a couple weeks!
  17. Is it safe to post videos here? I made one a fair while ago now of the car, but was unsure of forum policy here.... so I thought I would ask first...
  18. Spotted my old mans car about 10 mins later in the driveway at their house....
  19. Spotted a white R32 GTS-t (I think) with a black bonnet passing wirreanda high school @ around 3:15pm on friday...
  20. I'm OUT!!! Timing chain guides sound as if they are biting the dust.... (It's a known problem for the early Q45's) I have ordered a new kit, with metal backed guides, but had to get them from the USA They aren't going to get here in time for me to change them over (Last thing i need is for the motor to cark it way out north, far from home) Only thing i can think of is if I can borrow my dad's R32 for the day.... but that's unlikely...(and kinda lame) I am sure plenty of cruises will take place in the future, and will make it to one eventually..... Sorry to disappoint.
  21. I have one, and yes, they do work.
  22. Damn! Looks like I'm being railroaded into going! I mean, my name is there twice!! (And the Q isn't THAT slow ) PS. Go local food vendors!!! But It wouldn't be too hard to pack something for yourselves surely?
  23. I might just stay out of this one...... My car is more of a cruiser, and isnt too keen on tight, twisty roads (That tends to happen when the car weighs 1800kg) Maybe next time, if one gets planned that doesn't involve too much hard driving. (Makes me miss my Starion a bit now! )
  24. I agree with those comments. April is fine by me, and we should organise a BBQ or something.... Just keep in mind, April the 15th is Easter Saturday (Which is a gazetted public holiday), so there may be higher volumes of traffic to contend with. Any further ideas?
