  1. Hey Kristian did you seen my post in the NS thread saying that i can't make it as i have the engine out of my car ATM? I also i have a 70th B'day for my uncle the same day and he's been given a few months to live (cancer) so i'd have to go to that in any case. I'll come down for a look in the morning however. Dale
  2. Same with ford fairlanes like my daily. They had an rear airbag setup to level the car once a trailer/caravan was placed on the tow bar, Since it was $1000's to fix it once it broke most people replaced it with coilovers once it died.
  3. When setting them up properly you use a torque wrench to test the torqueand you use shims to adjust the torque so you can use the same technique but you will have to make up something to attach the torque wrench to the hub. EDIT!! Just actually read your post....you can't tell by looking at it.
  4. Give me a call, i'll PM you my number.
  5. the GKtech stuff is normally pretty good i have not really ever heard of any complaits on NS which is where Greg sells most of his stuff. Reason it look shitty on the inside is because it's welded on the inside, pretty much all the other dumps (Advance, CES) are only welded on the rear of the flange and not on the inside. If you get your money back go and get an advance one piece, they are as good as CES IMO and they are in Adelaide. http://www.advanceheaders.com.au/
  6. No Helical diffs can't be shimmed/tightened, Your best bet is to buy a S14 VLSD R200 and shim that up, it'll only cost you around $250 for the diff
  7. I will shim peoples diffs for $250 + you supply the oil and gasket if needed (HICAS diffs a little extra unless you pull it out). People can also came and watch while I do it and that way they can learn how it is done them selves. This is handy because as people have mentioned above they will wear so after a couple of years they will need to be done again. What people are saying about a shimmed diff's being a locker isn't necessarily true. You can shim then to be a locker but if you select the right shim it will just be a really tight V-LSD and it won't skip. Also the Shimming is preloading the viscus cuplink and isn't actually changing the back lash, the bearing shims do this not the cuplink shims.
  8. Pete i don't think Rann will sack him and since Tom the Hoon is such an arrogant tosser he won't quit so i don't think we will get what we want. i actually think that him staying in place is a good thing as he has effectly nobbeled himself from here on in so he won't, be heard from again and he certainly can't get on his high horse like he did a couple weeks ago. If we get someone new then they have the credability and will be able to create a headache for the performace car scene.
  9. According to the ABC there has been a join press conferance called by Mike Rann and Tom the hoon at 12:30pm. anyone taking bets on what is going to happen?
  10. If anyones been listening to the ABC they have been giving him a flogging for at least the last hour, which is what he deserves.
  11. Hey Jess when i was working in one of the pub i used to work in i was speaking to a family about this (would be at least 3 years ago). there is already an 1/8th mile track up there and they are trying to get it extended to a full 1/4 miletrack. The father of the family was part of the drag racing commitee up there and he said that it was going to cost around the $750,000 to get it extended. I also have heard some VERY good information about the proposed motorsport park from the brother of one of the members of the consortium, there will be an anouncement in the not to distant furture, AND WE ARE GOING TO LIKE IT.
  12. RB25 NEO's run top feed high impedance injectors. i would suggest wiring in a resistor pack from a GTR and running low impedance injectors for a couple reasons. Because the injectors you use will then be the same as the GTR injectors there was more of a market than the high impedance injectors used on the RB20's and therefore should be slighly cheaper. Also low impedance injectors are a lot easier to control when running low duty cycles. If you are going to be making 800hp then you will need to run an after market rail (probably 14mm injectors as well) and you will have to upgrade your fuel lines from the tank, it'll be expensive but i'm sure you weren't expecting it to be cheap.
  13. The polly of the hour is going to be on Nova this morning before 8:00
  14. pixel cars but i have never been able to sign in to make a car
  15. i actually think that the results have been edited because there were 650 votes in a number of hours then in 20 minutes there were over 1200
  16. there's something fishy about that poll. i voted 20 minutes ago and there was only 238 vote for him to get a second chance 32% of the total vote now there's over 1000 votes for him to keep his job and it's in the 60's% percentage wise.
  17. Modern Reg' is also on that day. What diff you fitting dave? If you want to shim up your existing diff let me know.
  18. As above the GT2876R is a bit of a missmatch turbo. the compressor wheel is too big for the small turbine side. Garret even give clues to this on their web page for this turbo where they say; http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...6R_705330_1.htm IMO your better of going a GT3071R where the turbine and compressor sides of the turbo are better matched.
  19. The sale threads on NS don't bump. They are fixed and won't move up. Loz did it last year after threads were only lasting on the front page for around 10 minutes due to people constantly bumping. However if they don't sell i will buy them off you at some stage for my 25 conversion, just don't have the cash ATM.
  20. How do you do an IP trace, i think you will find that NVMYRE and AleviAte7 will be posting from the same connection
  21. As damo said just make your own; That's what i have done, Just tapped a thread into the top of the can and then screwed in a barbed fitting and fitted a breather. I also made up some internal baffles and baffled the top of the can where the fitting was screwed in then filled the can with steel wool. the can only cost me $45 from memory.
  22. How did it come across?
  23. anyone spoken top PranK yet????
  24. The 2500 RPM rev cut is due to limp home mode and is caused by a faulty AFM signal. When you had the SAFC fitted you would have cut the AFM signal wire to the ECU and installed the piggy back to fudge the AFM signal. I would be checking you SAFC wiring if no problem there then the SAFC is playing up. Limp home can also be caused by a AFM signal that is out of range.
