  1. I'm sorry but it doesn't matter what the opposition is like he has to go, if we don't do it this time we will be living in a police state before we get another chance to get rid of him. I will bring up a few points; The bikie laws; these laws stop people associating with each other. The problem is that these laws are on the books now so it isn't a big step to apply these laws to other groups seen to be no in the public interest. If you don't believe this will happen have a look at the repossession laws. Originally these laws stated that since there is to be no profiting from crime then any assets that are attained through illegal means are to be confiscated. Then once the public started to notice that there were repeat offenders doing stupid things on the streets, then the laws were changed to include what was previously not even a criminal act (the acts that are now covered in hoon laws were previously expiatable offences and weren't criminal acts) and now we can lose our cars for having a radio turned up too loud or anything else the police see as hoon behaviour as there is nothing to actually say what hooning actually is. So once bigger restrictions are placed on high performance cars (and believe me they are coming if stupid behaviour of some of the young ones in our scene doesn't stop) there is a case of they don't work that it becomes illegal for high performance car owner to gather in groups. If you don't think that governments work like that well you just have to look at some other facts. 18 months ago Mr Rann tried to impose a 1km/h tolerance on all roads in SA. It was forced through parliament at 11:30pm and is nothing more than a money raising effort which was highlighted the next day when the commissioner of police said that the laws were unjust as it is not possible for people to read that accurately or for spedo to be that accurate. So what are we seeing now???? the creeping adverts that are saying that people doing just a few Km/h over the speed limit are over represented in the accident stats which is actually the complete opposite they are almost non-existent in the stats. you will see that the 1km/h law will be reintroduced once that ad campaign has done it's job and public opinion is behind the law. Also and I won't go into this but the proposed new hospital is nothing but a legacy that Rann is trying to create for himself, you can probably include the proposed new police building in that as even the police saying that it is a waste of resources.
  2. They are the same plugs and the same size. The only difference between the R32/3 and the R34 injectors are that the 34 injectors have a metallic electroplated finish (they might even be stainless) and 32/3 injectors are painted black.
  3. Here's some more interesting ABC articles; http://www.abc.net.au/local/audio/2009/03/...mp;rotator=true http://blogs.abc.net.au/sa/2009/03/street-racing-t.html Regarding the bottom link; It's interesting that the Minister for road Safety commented that there is no correlation between building a legal track and a reduction in "hoon" traffic offences. And even when presented with the fact that WSID almost completely stopped the incidence of these offences when it opened in the western districts of Sydney, He completely disregarded it. So this is just means that if we want a Drag Strip in SA on March 20th next year we need to make sure Ranns government doesn't get back in.
  4. They just did a summary of the messages and said that a lot of them said that there needed to be a legal Drag racing outlet, What is kind of what i said. I actually said that there is a 50 million set aside by a private consortium to build a drag strip. They have been lobbying the government for over 2 years to approve a site to build the track and yet the government hasn't done anything. On a side note; I did hear 6 months ago that there was a verbal agreement between the consortium and the government for a parcel of land a Gillman but 6 months later this still hasn't been put in writing.
  5. and they didn't even read out my message. I guess it didn't support what they were trying to portray
  6. I tried to call in but the lines are full so all i could do was leave a message.
  7. Have a listen. http://www.abc.net.au/adelaide/radio/playe...r/891stream.ram
  8. 52T 2871 will do 250rwkw and a 56T will do 270rwkw, i don't see a high flow doing that. Garret rate them at 460 and 475 hp at the engine respectively.
  9. I don't need to, they already know; Reference; http://www.gtrnissan.com/item.en.au.html?i...&type=press Yes Pete I was talking about an R35 Skyline GTR, and Yes Mr Donnon my wording was incorrect.
  10. I heard them call it the R35 GTR but it is actually a "Nissan GTR" there is no such thing as a R35.
  11. If I had that sort of money I'd built one of these; One being built;
  12. What's that? Muffled cos' it has something stuck in it's mouth.
  13. Don't like an R8 either, in fact I would prefer a GTR to an R8. I just don't like super cars they are confused as to what they are; Are they a performance car or are they a luxury car. When the R32 GTR was released it was a no compromises Performance Car and as such has that raw edge that I enjoy in my cars. This car (the Nissan GTR; yes people it isn't actually an R35 according to Nissan) has all the mod cons which is high lighted by it's 1750kg curb weight; Which is ok because they are targeting the super car market, but you can't call it a balls out performance car because it just isn't.
  14. Hello All, After an incident at Mallala last week end I need to do a leak down and compression test to see if I need to pull my engine out. I have the equipment for the compression test but I need the equipment for a leak down test. I bought every thing I needed to make a leak down tester 2 years ago but never put it together and have misplaced it as I moved house since. If you could help me out then that would be great as I would like to do the test on Sunday and have the engine out by Sunday afternoon if it needs to come out. Also I have a compressor I just need the gauge set-up with the threaded end for the spark plug. Thanks; Dale Pete, heslo i will send you a PM once i have got my hands on one and then this thread can be deleted.
  15. EDIT!! Still not a fan: Now every one can hate me
  16. Damo, Considering that quite a few people in the forced induction section have used 250,000+km engine and have just chucked a 25/26 head on and have been making mid 300kw for a long time on the standard untouched N/A bottom end i would go to City Dismantlers and get them to rebuild you a N/A bottom end to factory spec's. You can even get them to put the head on for you. I know that someone on here did exactly that (got City Dismantlers to build their engine). It was either Cubes or RB_Man. I have done quite a bit of research on RB 2?/30 engine as i'll be building a RB26/30Dett for my next 180; but mine will be a FULL build including full billet crank girdle, billet main caps CNC ported head, Etc Etc. 17. I'm pertty sure that you won't be able to powder coat anything that is plastic, the heat need to set the powder coat will melt the plastic.
  18. Yeah that was mine, All the results are here http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results....15/03/2009.MALL EDIT!! Looks like his best was a 1:22.95
  19. Was quite a good day with some good results. Finished first in the 1st and 2nd sessions with 12 and 18 points respectively and then blew out my points total in the 3rd session with 74 points but set a PB time of 1:24.52. Regained some consistency in the 4th session with 22 points and with a 5th session effort of 30 points I came second for the day. For session places you get 5, 3 and 1 points respectively so I ended up with the most points for the day with 13 bonus points scored. After my second placing in the first round and gaining 5 bonus points in that event finishing with the most points once again, I’m leading the championship with 61 points Vs' 56 for the second place. There was an incident on the last lap of the 5th session though which as a result I will be pulling my engine out in the next couple weeks (the extra boost for 2 laps wasn't worth it lol) meaning I will be missing both All Jap Day and the next round of Modern Reg' (which I would have missed anyway as they are on the same day lol)
  20. Have you got cradle bush spacers? If you haven't then what you are feeling is the rear cradle bushes deforming. Get some urethane pineapples and it will improve the feeling 100%.
  21. I'm not 100% sure on what youare proposing but if i have it right (your running a remaping service) then Jeff (Speedlab) already does this and he know's his shit backwards, i think that you will have problems with finding people to let you practice on their car as the result of getting it wrong will be VERY expensive, also you will need to burn more than 2 or 3 chips to get the tune to a reasonable standard. Jeff uses an emulator (and sometunes a nistune chipped ECU from the same model) to do his tunes which means he can do back to back runs changing the tune on the run and with my car it would have had 100's or runs over a number of sessions to get it to where it is now. For you to do the same thing you would be burning 100's of chips. I think you have a simplistic view on what is an extremely technical profession.
  22. So you stated to the potential buyer that it was an S-Tune engine because it had an "S" in the engine number, then you claim that So are Nismo changing engine numbers now or are you completely FOS, actually by your previous comments you don't have to answer that.
  23. Yeah was replying to you. It looks like there won't be many out to this one. Pity it isn't a general track day as there would be heaps of track time.
  24. Sent my entry off this afternoon, then sent off again just then as I forgot to attach it to the previous email. What car are you brining this time? Matt's not bring NO GRIP this time he's getting her ready for Time Attack.
  25. Yep there is 3 power "strokes" per 1 revolution of the rotor but there is 3 revolutions of the eccentric shaft per 1 turn turn of the rotor. Since the output shaft is the eccentric shaft, there is 1 power "stroke" per revolution of the output shaft which is the same as a 2 stroke engine.
