  1. All the R31 Rb30's have the oil and water fitting holes as well.
  2. I waas hoping that they were going to have a discussion but they just kept quiet. They were asking all the previous callers questions trying to get them to slip up but they probably only asked me 2 questions in the 15-20 minutes.
  3. Justwas bring up the track again and the fact that our road safety minister refuses to produce his sources for his fictional stats and then persented the NSW stats that show that there was a 80% reduction in "hoon" offences after the opening of WSID. Also said that there is nowhere for kids to learn to drive and that there is no complusry driving training if the government were serious about saving kids this would be the first step to implement. Said that kids where whaning to learn how to get themselves out of driving situations thatis whytheyare putting themselves in them on the roads as there is no other place for them to do it in a controlled environment. There was more but the keyboard at work sucks and i can't be bothered typing.
  4. They were discussing the hoon laws; so i rang in and setthem straigh on a few things. They just let me keep talking so i spoke for close to 20 minutes.
  5. anyone listen to the talkback segment this evening on fresh?
  6. In the next 6-8 months i will be fitting up some twins to a RB25 (as well as a GTR intake), i was wondering if anyone else has done it and how much work is involved. If i need to make up an adaptor plate than that fine but at this stage i was just wondering. My brother (GROWLY Custom Machining) and i have made a fair few CNC parts for my CA so if we make up a plate they will be produced for sale. There's some of the stuff that we've made for my current CA18 in this thread: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=293828 Remote oil block (these also if RB's); http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=297846 CAS Bracket, Backing Plate and Cam Gears; http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=276138 Custom Engine Mounts (Final Design); http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q60/D_S.../mounts_008.jpg
  7. RWD yes FWD no, but then what i'm asking for the package would be worth more than the car.
  8. That's the next 180. Next year once a start working as an engineer i will start that project but it will be a ground up build for a bare shell. Once i start building the engine then this 180 will be sold with whatever engine it is running at the time. But nothing will be spared on that engine, including a dry sump setup, CNC ported head, full crank girdle (crank case to main cap to crank case) etc, etc. With the CA i'm at the point where i need to rebuild it if i want to make any more power, i can do it for around 3k and it will make 260rwkw; or i can sell it fit a 25 and put the 3K into that and make near 300kw. But like i said if i don't get the right money for the CA i'll just rebuld that and be happy with 260.
  9. Cheers, I'll have a look. At this stage the CA will be pensioned off unless i can't get what i'm after for it (which knowing cheap ass CA owners i won't) and i'll be going RB25 with a set of R34 GTR turb's and GTR intake, looking for around 280-300.
  10. Here's a quick question of the peoplein the know; Is the Exhaust Manifold Stud Patten the same for 25's and 26's ??
  11. No 25, 26 and 30 bores are all 86mm so there is no boring required unless you are using a 20 head. With the 25 head you have to do something about the oil feed for the VTC but there are a few solutions if you look around. When i build mine i'll be using a 26 head as it is already solid and you don't have to play around with any oil galleries (apart from what you already have to do in the 26's i.e. restrictors and such) i will be retapping the block to take the bigger head studs that the 26 uses but there is some debate about doing this. P.S. i though cubes used a GT3071R??
  12. AFAIK his 240Z engine still runs the standard block, crank and crank girdle. So no it's not the 20K version as that engine has an aftermarket full crank girdle with billet main caps. TX3 i still don't think you are going to be able to do it for 2.5>3K. Pistons and rods you'd be looking at nearly 2K (if your going to do it properly) having said that the i think SPOOL do a piston and rod kit for around the $1400 mark for an RB30 bottom end. machining and balancing (balancing need to be 110% with a long stroke engine like an RB30) you'd be looking at another $3-500 ARP studs for mains and head studs $2-300 full gasket kit $300, decent turbo like a GT3071 or 76R your looking at $1700-2200 etc, etc. and these are just parts EDIT!! No i was wrong about the spool package it's $2190 not $1400 (thats more like the CA price) http://www.spoolimports.com/content/SPOOLC...TONPACAKGES.asp
  13. I was going to say that if it was a true GT3071R external gate with the correct exhaust wheel it would make around the 270 mark @ 19psi (even with the 0.64 rear) but not if it's just a high flowed compressor side using the 71mm compressor wheel.
  14. i was going stay out of this but i will ask about one point; Everyone is proposing the SAU-SA mane but has anyone checked with the owner of the SAU name as to whether he will be willing to let you use it. Also you need to form a steering commitee and that will get rid of the vested interest claims that are starting to pop up. I have (along with a number of others) just formed a dirt circuit club close to adelaide (you might remember the thread a few weeks ago) so i know what i;m talking about when i say that you need a steering commitee that al the decissions need to go through. Also people are saying that you need to be affiliated with this club and that club but you don't; if i understand what you are trying to form then you well be in parallel with these clubs and the only afiliation you will need is with CAMS (which isn't going to be easy). But yes the first thing you need to check is whether you can use the SAU name and if you can't then "r32skylin" is right you can't post your threads on SAU.
  15. the curfew is 11 pm the same as speedway park The track isn't flat enough any more to run top fuelers, ANDRA told bob jane that he had to completely relay the track (as well as other things) and he told them to get stuffed (as he already had issues with ANDRA over Calder) so ANDRA pulled it's certification and there has never been another top fueler on the track since. i did see the last top fueler run on AIR at my first visit, unfortunately it blew an engine at the 60ft mark but it was insane none the less.
  16. no as long as it's not disturbed then it can stay there, but if they do any work on the mounds or the track is decommissioned (which it will be when the other track is built .....AND THAT WILL HAPPEN, NOT JUST YET THOUGH) then they have to take it all and and safely store it, that is why he will never be able to sell it. The track is unsafe though which is why ANDRA won't sanction it and the timing wiring was burnt out and needs to be replaced.
  17. Well i don't care what people are saying about AIR as that work was supposed to be finished 18 months ago. Forget about AIR as ANDRA has said that they will never sanction the track as long as Jane still owns it , and i wanna see/feel Top Fuelers.
  18. What channel?
  19. A few times actually. The first time was when you were telling people that you know every thing about brakes rotors because you worked at Auto Bahn. The second time was at the only one of your cruises I went on where we drove for 45 minutes and stood around in car parks waiting for 2.5 hours, where I also witnessed drivers openly drinking Alcohol. Anyhow as with Chad i'm happy in the car club I'm in at the moment so i don;t have anything else to say in here.
  20. +1 This is the problem with things that Kellie does, eventually she get all big headed and power crazy and starts banning people.
  21. and there we go the opening story on Channel 7, i only saw the last 15 seconds though but they were questioning the power and availability of the performance import vehicles dues to their low cost. They claimed than Vinh's WRX only cost $11,000.
  22. That's not the point though because you can bet your ass that isn't what the news will be saying tonight.
  23. FYI People Just heard that channel 7 is at an accident scene ATM gathering footage of a red R33 that has taken out a stobie pole on Port Rd. We're going to be completely F#*Ked if this doesn't stop for at least 6 months. EDIT!! Apparently it was a 32 not a 33
  24. Isn't that 20 gig on a 5 gig limit?
