  1. With BB CHRA it will be a Garrett GT2871R or a GT3071/6R CHRA. To do that it will cost $1200AUD+ depends on the CHRA you want to put in it.
  2. If the car's going to be tunned for power I recommend to use 14psi actuator so you can alter boost to 24psi. the 7psi actuator can hold a max of 10psi. So depends on further plans to the car.
  3. ^^^^ why not. You can pick them up for around $600. I've made 252rwkws out of a stock one with cams years back, But it did pop at 272rwkws.
  4. It must have 'run in'? Doesn't quite work like that. Surprised a turbo 'manufacturer' would be under the impression that plain bearing turbos take a few thousand kilometers to 'run in.' LoL never you heard turbo run in? all brand new bush bearing turbos will need a run in time of 1000KMs. Boost curve will change once its run in. eg: before run in: After run in:
  5. yea, the turbo got more responsive, It must've run in, It had 300kms before the tune. Also I found and fixed that electrical issue, it was in the bit of loom our friend made, Its running beautifully now. I’ll see you next week to dyno the new KAI turbo.
  6. Yea the CA's gear ratio is different from the SR. If you’ve driven one you know, It needs 3000rpm just to keep the car moving but revs out very quickly. From daily driving the car operates from 3000 to 5000RPM, even compare to stock T25 turbo there isn't really any thing till after 3500rpm. From actually driving it, it doesn’t feel any lag at all, pretty much just like factory turbo. But when you step it in. ha ha ha ha fun begins, wheel spin on 1st, 2nd and 3rd at 100KM/H jumping from 80km/H to 130KM/H in 2 secs grab on to your steering wheel , hear the loud whisper from the turbo and let your body sank into the seat On SR probably get abit more power but should see heaps better turbo response and more torque.
  7. ^^^^^ They are cheap re-grinded cams: 256/8.9 . I got done 3 years ago at wade which costed me $120 in total for 2x. I guess they didn't even know what a CA18 is back then. You can use Tomei Pon cams which will give better result. ATR28 G3 will be available next year as in a direct bolt on form we are doing our modeling at moment. This CHAR is highflowable into Stock R3x Turbine housing. by calculation it should give similar result with lot faster response. We will make one for evaluation and should have the results by new year. But drop in an email if you are interested in evaluation.
  8. 220rwkws is very easy. The high flowed turbo should perform between 230~250rwkws. It should be archived around 18psi or less. By calculation it should archive peek out put of 450HP at 1.3Bar. There are many dependencies, calculation is normally calculated based on 75~80% of flow capacity. and there are many things that we can do to increase the HP with the ATR28 CHAR in a restrictive environment, but it will results more lag. The most common profile that we use for R33 high flow is ATR28G2 (400HP) and older G3(450HP) profile. The Current G3 (on the 282rwkws CA) requires a big turbine wheel which the stock housing doesn't seems to have enough meat to be machined out.
  9. Thats great if you can get some results from its max potential. The estimate by calculation is roughly 250rwkws. It will normally take 3~4 days to get the turbo ready.
  10. Sorry we don't. But we can make them brand new and mail it over if you need. Had many US and Eurp customers lately as our dollar is sitting very low.
  11. GTR turbos are easy we can put in ATR28SS 350HP CHAR for twin setup. Those are very very tuff little turbo made to handel high boost. Should get you 400rwkws with excellent turbo response.
  12. yes, we tab in factory thread so stock lines do bolt on
  13. First of all we have to use bigger wheels to flow more air. We use aluminium compressor wheels and Inconel steel turbine wheels. All parts in the turbo are specially designed for high boost, and we warranty that for performance applications. So yes they are lot stronger then the stock turbo.
  14. Is that the HyperTune in Spring valve? Owner's name's Yin?
  15. Yes it will still cost $800 to high flow as its basically using factory housings on a new Turbo core. So you might want to send in a cheap blown one to do the high flow. The ATR turbochargers has no issues to handle 25psi. But factory turbine housing can only hold 20psi.
  16. At this stage we perfer to use Sleeve bearings turbo system. Ball bearing is optional at additional cost. ATR43 sample turbos should be ready towards end of Jan comming year for members who are interested to evaluate along with my self.
  17. Thanks for support every one. Since start of 07 we've taking lot of advice from different turbo builders, absorbing different theories and put all creative thinking into new ATR turbocharger manufacturing. We do thanks to Trent, Sam, Nick and all other tuners and forum members who participated in tuning and testing of the new product. The ATR28 450HP profile we made 255rwkws on a CA18det, RB25 should be making towards 270rwkw with excellent turbo response. We are working a the ATR43 at this stage. Building Aluminium models for sand casting at this stage. This will be a "small looking" direct Bolt on turbo for R33 to produce around 280rwkws.
  18. It all depends on what you do as calling it “high flow”. What we do is: Re-profile both factory compressor and turbine housings. Assemble profiled housings onto ATR28 450HP profile core assemble. So basically its a brand new turbo with your factory housings for direct bolton purpose. All ATR turbochargers are covered with 12 month warranty for performance usage.
  19. Its a G3 TR43. profiled to support 300rwkws. the oil feed line will only work with this turbo.
  20. 7Psi springs are not designed to hold that much manifold pressure. So its only made to work with stockish applications. If you need more boost run stronger actuator so it can hold more pressure. external gates are still highly recommended for high performance applications.
  21. Well that is why we made a 14psi actuator for high boost settings. Put that in and you can boost to what ever 14psi+ you like.
  22. Need to exchange for a 14psi actuator if you need to run 16psi. We gave you a 7PSI actuator consider you didn't have much modifications to support 14psi back then. PM me.
  23. it sound like in HP. can you put up the dyno sheet? TR43 standard make 230rwkws (331HP) at 14psi with stock injectors and AFM after a good tune. You should get 215rwkws just by using 98 fuel and slight timing advance. Check to make sure your cat is not restricting flow, and Please Make sure the internal wastegate is shut probably. Lot of people doesn't adjust the wastegate rod after rotating the housing on it. below is off a rb25det all stock fuel and afm running a dr.drift remaped ecu.
  24. This is a 1993 model GTST manual turbo R33. We bought this car few month back for TR43x internal wastegate development and evaluation. Key Features of this car: 150,000KM 170PSI all cyc. 600x300x75mm Front mount intercooler kit TR43 internally gated turbo running 7psi. Custom made 3inch front pipe. keenwood CD/Tape player with speakers. Cruise control A/C, Electric mirror and usual stuff This car drives perfectly and smoothly. How ever it does require a respray, as the clear has started to pill on the front bonnet and guard areas. This car has been complainced and had Act Rego that run out on mid June 08. It can be registered any where in Australia. The asking price is $9500 as it is, Serious Buyers are welcome to see and test drive the car. I will not accept any trade ins at this stage.
