Rotamasters use AVO's R33 turbine housings . With the Boost creep thing if you can machine your internal wastegate whole to about 29mm its alright. I'm pretty sure they will machine it before give you the turbo.

I'm not sure if your mechanic had to rotate the comp housing or turbine housing for any reasons. But if they did you must adjust the actuator to make sure the wastegate flap is 100% shut with pre-load. Here's a small video of how its been done. If BOV blocked and not leaking then its good. Check to see if you have cooler pipes or silicon pipes that are split. check adjustment on the actuator make sure the wastegate is 100% shut. Also you purchased a braided oil line for us as well, was that installed?

You can try to block up the BOV port with a piece of metal and see if that make difference. I don't know man, I updated SS8_Gohan a exact same spec high flow (OP6) as you've got and he got 248rwkws @16psi limited by stock AFM. I think we can get that to push out 280rwkws with Z32AFM + POD + DeCat at about 20psi. I don't believe there's a Surge issue or if you are unsure the term? I also noticed you run a Auto. Maybe some thing to do with the transmission?

I was EPA +D efected in Melbourne for having a Pod and Cooler at the same time. and I had to pay $567 fin to EPA and attend a EPA test. The EPA test was alright, But I think this fin shouldn't be that heavy. For any one to pay $567 worth of fin based on this sort of matter I think it's a f*ken joke.

Where did you get the pressure source for the BOV ? It Must be after the Throttle body. or you might need to adjust the wastegate actuator.

Ok. Here is a filter of a Micro filter. I've placed it on a 5 Cents Coin. Understand what cause XR6 Turbo's turbo to seize up now? Here's proper in line oil filter which we use on Trucks and CAT turbos. Incase you don't get it The GT30 turbos in BA fails due to oil starvation as the tinny filter gets blocked by dirt.

They got ceramic turbine wheels. They snaps off at where the turbine wheel joins the steel shaft. Do not over boost those things. And its pretty interesting how they decide to sacrifice reliability for response.

Do not use a small Micro in line filter. It doesn't do much. Its a filter that looked like a oil relocate kit with a engine oil filter. So you just change that filter every time you do service. This is a common filter used in Trucks and earth moving equipments.

Running-in in general terms it is not required but recommended only sleeve bearing turbos. We had a brand new TD07 on a RB25det, by tuning straight after installation you notice the boost curve kicks in more and more advanced as you flooring it on the 4th gear. car picked up lot more mid rang few weeks later with boost advanced by almost 500RPM. I'm pretty sure lot of tuners have seen the same thing and will tell you the same story. Its got nothing to do with in build quality, its not a requirement, but a recommendation to sleeve bearing turbo owners to see the true result of their setup. Back on the turbo topic. Is this a R33's rear housing? it looks like a AVO's .63 rear housing. If that is the case this turbo would have no isses making upto 300rwkws.

So we can high flow your turbo sooner. lol No. don't do that when turbo's working. Depends on its condition, stock BOV can leak at high boost, How ever you still need a BOV for the turbo to operate safely, most people replace it with a better one.

Service the car often does not get rid of oil contamination problem. You won't be seeing them doing free warranty service or refund for sure. Thats the shit thing with Garrett BB turbos, They have very restrict border line for warranty and 99.99% time its not their fault. So you will be pissed and swearing with a dead turbo and it is bloody expansive to rebuild.

Its perferred that you go for a brand new turbo. You can get them through Garrett here. Or you can make you own by high flowing a GT2871RS CHRA into a OP6 R34 Rear housing. The out puts is almost the same.

I think your timing belt is loose. I had the same issue with a 95 R33. My mechanic believed it was timing belt, had it changed it and problem was fixed.

We currently buying at $380 each with the rest of the turbo. Take it to your local MTQs stores, They will be able to clean your turbo bits, fit new bearing cartridge and give you some advise so you don't come back with the same problem.

If you can spin it with your hand fast enough you can hear it. Turbo probably needs a new bearing catridge.

That Woooo sound is from your fan can also be your pulleys, condensers, pumps and etc spooling up. as long as every thing's working its not a major issue to worry about.

As for a BB turbo when it starts to faille you hear like a metal grinding noise. Some thing like Zzz.. zzzz. z you hear that when the car's switched off. Just the bearing cartridge and bearings are no longer original state as been machined off from oil contaminates. In this case we normally get customer to buy an oil filter kit or we don't service their turbos. As for a oil filter kit, Its similar a relocate kit, oil actually go through a engine oil filter before goes into the turbo. You probably see that setup often on diesel trucks and earth moving equipments. Warranty wise its simple. All turbochargers are made to work with clean efficient oil supply which all healthy turbo engines should supply. if not then that is not considered as turbo's fault. HKS is another company that engineer their own turbo housings and use Garrett turbo Cores. So all HKS turbos are considered as Garrett turbos with their own housings made for specific applications.

Holset makes Diesel Truck or Earth moving equipment turbos. They are not engineered for high performance applications.

Hybrid in turbochargers means fast turbo response and high turbo efficiency. All modern performance turbochargers are considered hybrid turbochargers. Its not a Business/Company who build turbochargers.
