  2. Fark dat. Man how's this for lols I did online insurance comparison for the rc one company came in at 4.5k. lawl
  3. The members must be wrapped...
  4. Pretty sure the article was published like today..
  5. Wouldn't wanna discourage the work force, but they are more than adequately remunerated for the task at hand. Yes they do so the pros outweigh cons but there is a bit of woe is me about the article ...oh I get sick when he comes back and miss family functions or events blah blah
  6. Spose it wouldn't get much coverage in ETU weekly
  7. Yeah I'm just sick of hearing about hard done by fifo's
  8. Give it a rest.. Extremely well paid and a conscious decision to take up the job / fifo lifestyle.. Fkn quit if ya can't hack it sooks. http://mobile.news.com.au/finance/work/wa-parliamentary-report-finds-mental-health-issues-higher-among-fifo-workforce/story-e6frfm9r-1227408048041?utm_content=SocialFlow&utm_campaign=EditorialSF&utm_source=News.com.au&utm_medium=Facebook
  9. 1k is lawyer prices conveyancer $600-$700 provided no body corp.
  10. Claim workers comp ?
  11. Yeah I just had a vendor do it recently so painful. First time ever for me so yeah extremely rare thank god
  12. Own conveyancing I doubt it, needs to be handled by licensed conveyancer. But yeh save comm selling your own of course
  13. When you buy? There is no commission for the buyer to pay but it's quite hard to buy through own agency it's more hassle than it's worth
  14. yeah spose the university method is flawed because each yeah 10000 people graduate but there's no certainly of 10000 available jobs couldn't think of anything worse than studying for 4 years for no end result.. That's just how it goes I know but seems like it needs looking at IMO.
  15. Art student mentality
  16. Yeah property management starts quite low .. If you climb up can end up on decent money id say most would be 60-65k including comms - seniors would get up over 100k id say
  17. In sales? The average agent earns 50-60k statistically
  18. Yeah agree with all that but still not the decisive difference maker in her situation
  19. Suburbs 45k + comms Inner city probably 60-70k + comms but downside payin for parking etc. Perception is all agents make a ton. They don't it's the typical 80/20 rule - 20% of the agents make 80% of the money.
  20. I'm just not seeing the connection of working in real estate and her having 2.4 mill worth of properties? Not like every agent has only 2.4 mill worth of properties Also I'm first to admit easy as to get a job keeping it different story & like anything how much are they earning? Work 6-7 days a week the average income in real estate is pathetic like 60k..
  21. Where's the benefit to working in real estate? She still has to pay stamp duty maybe she saves management frees? which are tax deductible anyway
  22. Also unlikely - they'd sell. And property won't fall far enough for renters to be able to afford it in reality.
  23. Spoken by someone with 12 years in the industry to have 5 tenants vacate at the same time it's a long shot really long shot. And if some break lease for example they pay penalties to offset lost rent so again 5 empty with 0 coming in don't think so
  24. That's unlikely though
  25. I've not read the article but there is literally heaps of people like her buy, borrow against max leverage life's good when the markets rising. Depends what your buying to people forget there's a few types of 'investing' you can buy something with low risk good return but low capital gain expectation but solid revenue stream or buy something with the hope of high gains future development etc I prefer low risk revenue stream properties if it was my money, or commercial property.
