  1. Well so far I hold all the cards. I have the dealership warrenty, I have the so called roadworthy, The car has only done 60km's since leaving the dealership. Also I have receipts from everything I have personally done and got the workshops to right down on the receipt what they found wrong while doing what they had to do. I am also going to demand an engineers report on the chassis once they get it fixed.
  2. I would prefer not to mention the dealerships name currently. So far I don't really have a problem with them. They have been good in regards to the problems it has and have agreed to fix everything. If they decide to get ugly then yeah I will warn people about them but so far they have been good. Also it will be going back to the same guy that checked it out today for me once all the repairs are done. I am more then willing to recommand him even though he doesn't really work on Skylines he great for safety checks. He left the car on the hoist for when I got there so he could show me everything he found wrong with it underneath. The place I got the safety check done is S.W.C Automotive, Ask for Shane.
  3. Alright guys just got the car back from a trusted mechanic to have a look over everything. Basically what he said about the chassis is that they have put a different rear end on it and they have only spot welded it in and not run a full weld over it. So tomorrow it goes back to the dealership for them to fix it and a few other things (washer bottle, drivers headlight, gearbox mount).
  4. also judging on the KM's it has done has it got the 100k service already done and if so can they prove it? Also take it to a trusted mechanic to do the roadworthy you don't want to be in the same situation I am in but luckily I got my R32 from a dealer and they are fixing everything.
  5. Waiting for a modchip hey.... You got yourself a blu-ray burner and blu-ray media, Its gonna be expensive for awhile to backup your PS3 stuff.
  6. Even with the issues of the car it has been my fav car I have ever driven. I have driven things from the bottom of the barrel (Gemini's, Corollas etc) to mid range things (Falcons, Commodores, Fairlanes, Telsta's). Until the skyline came the gemini was my fav car to drive because of the handling it has and now with the skyline I have great handling and also good power. I can't wait to get the car back from the dealer when the repairs are done and just knowing I can finally just go for a walk outside my house and look at a skyline its one of my dreams come true.
  7. haha if I had of got the car privatly what is stopping them from getting a dodgy roady? At least I have a month or first 1000km's to find everything thats wrong and make the dealership pay for it. I am getting another Road Worthy tomorrow (from a person I can trust) and sending it back to the dealer on thursday to get all the repairs done. So far the dealership has been good about it all, They have agreed to fix the headlight and washer jets/bottle (whatever the problem is there). Also I have let them know about the chassis as well and they have agreed to check it out and get it fixed if need be, If my roady comes up it with it needing fixing tomorrow then i guess they will need it fixed.
  8. Daewoo as I first car... I dunno whats worse your daewoo or my gemini..... Good to see we have similar tastes in skylines as well In regards to needed some parts, YES MARK I DO NEED SOME PARTS!! Check out my thread here for the parts I am chasing http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=159326
  9. Its going back on thursday....
  10. Thanks for that, I will check out the air con place and also DJ. The main reason I am looking for somebody people recommand is so that way I don't have to go through a bunch of crap until I find a decent place. I prefer to stick with one good workshop so they can get to know the car. Might give them a ring about my 100k service (if they do it) and get a decent tune done as well just to be on the safe side of things. Thanks for the help and will let you know how things go. Cheers Adam.
  11. I will do spook. I am starting to think of trying my luck with Nissan or maybe Clark Rubber. Might also be time to start ringing the local Import Wreckers to.
  12. hahaha I am basing my opinion on the quality of the people I have had a chance to speak to so far and the people who have replied in other topics I have started. I look forward to meeting more of you guys and girls (didn't want to single anybody out) and I hope when I get the chance my experiance with new people I meet is just as good as the ones I already have.
  13. Updated the parts I need.
  14. In the next couple of weeks once my money flow has calmed down after getting the skyline and other things I am looking at becoming a member of the queensland section (if I am accepted). Just my way of saying thank you to all you guys for being such a great bunch of people.
  15. Yeah I know alot of people don't the VS kits but I like them. I am more a fan of an aggressive body kit rather then smooth lines and such. Yeah the issues are getting sorted. The car goes back to the dealer next week and so far (over the phone) they have agreed to fix everything. They were a little annoyed I managed to knock $1500 off the price they were selling it drive away because they had already spend $700 on paint repairs. Now they are going to be spending more. I feel like a prick doing it because the actual people at the dealship are really friendly people and understanding but when basic roadworthy things need fixing I am not going to spend my money on them considering they sold it with a roadworthy. Also when I get it back from the dealer fixed I will be more then happy to come along to a cruise. I look forward to meeting you guys.
  16. Hey guys, I just wanted to introduce myself and give abit of info on myself. I recenty purchased my first skyline (R32 GTS-T) and have loved skylines for years. Actually most sport japanese Nissans I like. Incase your wondering my user name (Triptych) is actually a form of artwork and I am sure if you search google you find out exactly what it means. It is also the title of one of the albums of my all time fav band The Tea Party. Alright a little bit about myself, I play drums, study photography and work a pretty crap job daily. I can play guitar also but not very good at it. The geeky side of me likes computer games and such. Also in case your wondering I am 24 years old. I decided to hold off getting a skyline until I had enough driving experiance under my belt so there is less chance of me doing something stupid. Also I just want to add a big thank you to the people I have had a chance to talk so far in the queensland section of the forums. You guys have been really nice and I would like to personally thank JapTaxi (Will) as well as he is the first person I have met in person from the forums and he is a great guy. I was a little worried about posting on the forums as my first car was a Holden Gemini (I prefer to refer to it as an Isuzu Gemini just so it reflects its roots more). As being a active member on the gemini forums since I first got my gemini I had found the forum community there to be not so helpful and prefer to put you down for asking a question. Don't get me wrong there is some really great people there but alot idiots that just like to try and make themself look better then what they really are. Thankfully my experiance with the Skyline forums has been alot better and I haven't met one person yet that isn't willing to help where they can. So once again a BIG thankyou to all of you. I have a feeling I am going to enjoy my time here on the forums as much as I do driving my R32. I haven't got many pictures of my car yet as I only just got it. I did post this picture in another thread of mine but thought I would add it here. Feel free to call me by my username or by my real name which is Adam. Whatever you prefer is fine with me. Cheers Adam.
  17. haha thanks for clearing that up. As soon as I saw the calsonic sticker I was happy even if it was a standard thing because I have a model of the Calsonic Race Skyline that I am yet to put together
  18. Ryan I just want to thank you for all your help you have given me so far. Everybody I have come in contact with so far in this communty has been really nice and helpful. Thank you all and hopefully it won't be too long before I get this car looking as good inside as it is outside.
  19. Here you go Darren
  20. hey buddy, is there any difference between the R32 GTR reverse lights and the GTS-T ones. I am chasing a set for a R32 GTS-T 2 door coupe.
  21. Yeah I am watching a couple of things on ebay at the moment. If they keep going for a good price I will grab most of what I need.
  22. In regards to landscape photography it is also a good idea to have something in your foreground. For example if you want to take a photo of the sun setting over the water at the beach instead of just lining up your horizon and shooting try adding something in the foreground like a palm tree. For a romantic/love feel you could also add 2 people sitting/standing whatever watching the sunset. I have already mention techniques for "Emphasis" in other parts of the forum but if you would like me to add some here let me know. Just a little background on myself, Crappy job during the day, Photography student at night Also to emphasis on the "Fill in Flash" technique as well it is also very useful to use when photographing people with facial imperfections (excuse me for the lack of a word there) in portrait photography. For example the "Fill In Flash" can help hide wrinkles (next time when you see advertising for a cream to get rid of wrinkles compare the before and after shot and you will notice alot more light on the face in the after shot), Also it can help wash out redness from pimples and such.
  23. You have a total of 3 years to complete the course as well just so you know.
  24. come on guys some of you must have some spare parts laying around.
  25. I will check out the pump to find out. Seeing as though I got it from a dealer I have no idea on what mods have been done which I hate.
