  1. my hicas light (32 gtst) comes on when i start my then goes off as i speed up. its seems to come on and off randomly as im driving. any ideas? car doesnt seem to drive any different.
  2. yeah i dont know that area too well, being from the hills, but If you wanted to make it longer what about starting in say vic park then going along riverside drive then onto mounts bay rd then follow that to cottesloe then back up westcoast hwy in the hillaries direction? just an idea
  3. has there been a coastel cruise lately? freo to hillaries maybe?
  4. yeah 10k is what is spent all up. that got me some second hand 18's as well though. Im now regretting not just using a 25 and spending the remaining money on aftermarket turbo etc. it think that woulda given a higher HP figure for the same price, but it all a big learning experience. not too many plans for the 26 for a while. just another tune on the microtech so its sitting on 340rwhp and gettin better fuel consumption. Back on topic: as someone mentioned above, old s13's are gettin cheap as. from what ive heard there isnt huge dramas gettin rb20s in them. that would be a screamer.
  5. luvin it simmo. its goin real nice now its done the first 1000km. did you find a 25? lucky bugger. you are gonna love the extra torque. my mate just spent a fortune on his rb20 trying to make it quick, and it is, but you just cant get the torque.
  6. VL is pretty easy. handles like a transperth bus though! edit: bubba just beat me too it
  7. mine has done that as well. is pissing me off. maybe it could be painted?
  8. Those things were powered by a 20b rotary turbo! strange car.
  9. after seeing the work that went in to putting the rb26 in my car, which is considered a relatively easy swap, i can see this as being a hugely exspensive excercise and as some one mentioned a massive head F**k. Im think its awesome to have something unique, but for the kinda money this is gonna cost i just cant see it being worth it. i dont think it would even drive that well. would still handle like a big heavy family car. dont forget you can buy an xr6 turbo in the low 20's these days and it would be so much more modern. If you decide to go through with it, best of luck and i'd still be keen to see it done.
  10. vortex is 96 i think, where do they sell vortex 98? eastern states?
  11. yeah thats the one i ment. funny stuff
  12. Mr Keets, just spotted your quote in your banner. FLMAO. where did that come from?
  13. ali-turko, your widebody 32 is fricken HOT! nice work mate. impressive that you can make it look so different.
  14. I lent my pride and Joy to Allan for a couple of days so i can vouch for his professionalism. My car was safely locked away the whole time and even came back cleaner than when i dropped it off. just in case anyone is in 2 minds about lettin there baby out of there sight.
  15. sounds good! wonder if anyone sells it online?

    Nos

NOS on an rb26? i like the sound of this. keep us posted on how it goes. mainly because i live my life 1/4 mile at a time
  17. remix how much power have you got and are you using stock ECU?
  18. Good on ya mate. if you can offord it get it. You can get up to 160km an hour and kill yourself in a pulsar if you wanted to. In my opinion a stock GTR isnt that much faster than a GTST specially if it has a FMIC, etc. And at least the GTR is AWD so in the respect its probably a safer first car. Your also likely to be a safer driver in a car you love than one you dont really want and dont care about. Good luck, cant wait too see it on cruises.
  19. i can do better than that. i already took mine off. spun out when i saw your car.. so similar! hope that helps. by the way i put mine back on in the end, looked a bit funn coz of the vertex bumper
  20. Thanks frost thats a big help ill look into it.
  21. 220km at the moment i think its still running too rich though coz that is with some conservitive driving and a little bit of boosting.
  22. thats enough outa you Gordon, thats just not fair!
  23. Arr ok. Interesting.. Wish i knew that before haha. have spoken to someone else with a rb26 running microtch and they are getting mor like 300 km/tank heading back to rotomotion for a retune i think, unless anyone would recommend someone else who knows microtech well.
