  1. get your valve caps balanced. will give you an extra 10 killerwasps or sell it and buy a faster car. we all know NA skylines are slow.
  2. it's on my "to do" list, but it's a fair way down, after a new carbon road bike, GPS cycle computer, and various other things.
  3. i think yours has an aftermarket front bar, so it's probably been removed. have a look at the front bar from under the car. if it's fibreglass then it's not a nissan front bar. if it's plastic then it is. as for where the electric spoiler thing, i've never actually seen one, so can't help you out there.
  4. just don't go making threads asking how to get around P plate restrictions, or how to do some stupid ricer mod, or how you bought a NA skyline and got beaten by a falcon/commodore and how you thought NA skylines would be fast and you should be fine. so here's some free advice: - you can't get around P plate laws - taking the turbo off a turbo car won't make it legal, it will just make it slower than a factory non turbo skyline (it will be about as fast as an auto barina) - natro skylines are slow. they will get beaten by a commodore or falcon or v6 magna. - when you can legally drive a turbo car, selling a natro and buying a factory turbo is a much cheaper and better option. - a natro skyline with a big exhaust and bodykit is just as bad as a lancer with an evo bodykit and big exhaust.
  5. i'm sure there are some other bad ones, but the skyline isn't that bad. the fwd sr20 (at least in the n15 pulsar) is pretty bad. you can see the filter, just can't get to it without having to have your wrist at 90 degrees, while also having it up against the head. the filter on the 2000 model corollas is also a bit of a pain. it's right next to the exhaust. best i've seen was the 3.5L v6 in the magna. it basically has a factory relocation kit. you look under the car and there it is, hanging down with nothing around it. you can get both hands on it. not contortionism, no burnt or scratched hands. no tipping oil all over the place trying to negotiate it out.
  6. pretty sure the type M just got a leather gear boot and handbrake cover, and possibly different brakes. to find out for sure, post up your vin number in the nissan FAST thread in the general automotive section.
  7. high TPS voltage would've been causing it to use higher load cells in the mapping, so it would've been running richer with less timing. it should go a bit better now that it will be running leaner with more timing.
  8. nah it's that my modem is a kill joy. when i go into the logs in the modem it shows that it has booted the ps3 off each time. the modem has issues though. probably 10 times a day it will boot all computers off and sort of resets itself. i have a long phone line somewhere, and a few metre long ethernet cable, so i'll bring the modem to the ps3 i think.
  9. yeah you can't compare gains on 1 engine to another. considering that on a turbo skyline the gains from even a full ecu are only around 15 to 25kw, i'd only expect 5 to 10kw from a natro skyline (there may be a few that go over 10kw).
  10. might be dodgy spark plugs or coilpacks.
  11. i don't think the offset is that different. pretty sure the SSS runs a high 30's offset (+38 from memory)
  12. you can for the ps3 firmware updates, just not game updates from what i'm aware. my ps3 and my wireless router don't get along very well, so i'm guessing it will take me about 10 goes to get it to work properly. might just take the ps3 and a tv into the office to hook it up so it works first go.
  13. could be that the cable is on it's way out, or the springs in the hub are a bit sticky.
  14. engine number should tell you. it should start with RB30 if it's a rb30. at least for the rb25 it is on the passenger side of the engine, at the rear of the engine.
  15. are you sure it's the coolant temp sensor? take a pic of it. it may just be the cat temp sensor (common light that comes on). this doesn't really make the car run rich though.
  16. wow, big download. i might leave it a day or 2 for less server traffic pity you can't download it on a pc and put it on the ps3 via usb stick
  17. lightened flywheel often does bugger all for acceleration times, because while the car will speed up faster, it is also more prone to bogging down off the line. if you had a stupidly heavy flywheel you could fry the tyres by dumping the clutch at 1500rpm with bugger all throttle. if you have the worlds lightest flywheel (or no flywheel) you would nearly stall the car dumping the clutch while bouncing off the rev limiter if you had sticky tyres.
  18. n15 and earlier pulsar is 4 x 100, n16 is 4 x 114.3. 4 stud skylines (r32 and r33 natros) are 4 x 114.3. silvias are 4 x 114.3 are any of the r34's 4 stud, or are they all 5 stud?
  19. percat didn't say anything in particular, it was just a bunch of DERP DERP DERP i'm on tv DERP DERP DERP.
  20. that crash looks like it's from indy cars, not f1 (since they do a lot of street races), as well as being probably 10 years old.
  21. yeah. decent behind the wheel, just keep him away from cameras and a microphone. nah, they'll buff that out. that car will be at the gold coast race for sure.
  22. if it is only forza 3 with a few changes (like you say about gt4 and gt5), will you all keep blowing smoke up forza's arse or will you be just as disapointed as you were with gt5?
  23. not really. we aren't like some forums full of fanbois. a lot of us recognise that there are better motors than the RB
  24. i reckon RBR will be pulling out all stops to get webber back to second in the championship. although they may have to give vettel a valium before each race so he doesn't get upset if they tell him to let mark past.
  25. probably has them adjusted so he can see himself in them
