  1. lol, well played
  2. check the oil. it may just be that there was a very small amount of oil left in the cooling system and that is what you are seeing. if you check the oil and it is still fine then you should be ok. if it is going milky then get it checked out
  3. as above, you don't want it to break (and not just because of the mess it can make, but also because of the overheating issues), and it's very easy to replace.
  4. don't expect much in the way of power gains or fuel economy gains. you have bought pretty much the slowest r33 on the market (the rb20e powered skyline is slower, but not very common) due to it being the heaviest. to improve the fuel economy you could check that the o2 sensor is working properly. if it isn't then replacing it will get you better economy. if it's working then you won't get better economy by replacing it. as for advice for getting more power, my only real advice would be to sell it and buy a falcon or commodore or various 4 cylinder cars that are faster than a natro GTS4
  5. performance wise they would both beat the liberty (i've owned both, and my sister in law had a 3rd gen) as well as a natro skyline. i would actually keep the liberty over a natro skyline. might not have as much power on a dyno, but in real world performance it would be as fast, if not faster.
  6. it wasn't so much about the distance (well it was a bit), but moreso about just how quick his reflexes needed to be to pull off the move. one second, he is behind him, next minute he is beside him.
  7. oh right, misunderstood what you were wanting to do. in that case, i have no idea if it can be done, or how to do it.
  8. try an import wreckers
  9. yeah i knew there was a lock somewhere in the car that said it, but couldn't remember. the people i bought my old business off also had a locksmith so i went there to get a key cut when i had my 33 and the keys i had were a bit worn and they said i could just get the code off one of the locks and then they could cut me a new key.
  10. most likely a new sensor would fix it, as long as it isn't simply a dodgy wire.
  11. that won't make a scrap of difference as the ecu simply goes off the speed sensor. it doesn't know what gear you are in (and it doesn't care). my 180sx used to hit the speed limiter in 4th. and to do that in a car with a rb20e, you must've had a good tail wind going down a steep hill, lol
  12. nah, much lower kms, manual box and looked after. was just pissing in the wind, lol
  13. i always thought the r34 used the same consult port as the 33
  14. was that the one where he pulled out at the last second and only missed making contact by a few inches?
  15. <insert usual SSS pulsar or v6 magna comment>
  16. skylines use a heated oxygen sensor, so the error may related to the heating side of things rather than the sensor reading, but if it's not heating properly then it will be affecting the operation of the sensor.
  17. maybe try talking to a good locksmith. they should be able to tell you where to look for the code.
  18. yeah sounds like your brother thrashing the car was the straw that broke the camels back. the clutch was probably already shagged.
  19. sutil could do with some new rear tyres. lots of opposite lock at every corner
  20. well done hamo, ruined your race again by running into someone, lol. pity you took massa with you
  21. yeah great job by webber. gentlemen racing puts on a good show again
  22. what side of the grid is he on? if he is on the outside, which is the clean line, then he will be 4th as he will get hung out to dry. if he's on the dirty side then he will be 6th.
  23. mr predictions for tonights race hamilton takes out vettel at the first corner button has a relatively ordinary first half of the race then comes home like a baws webber half a lap down by the time he manages to get to the first corner, then he too comes home like a baws until he tries to shortcut the track by launching himself over the wall, using a slower car as a kicker ramp (valencia 2010 style), and then in the interview asking what happened he just says "yeah, i fucked up"
  24. there is absolutely no way for fast to show whether the kms are genuine. you have as much chance of finding that info from one of those ebay workshop manuals, or even a piece of gum on your shoe, as FAST is simply a program that has all the data for the different models of cars in it which you can use to find part numbers. as for how to find out how many kms the car has really, that is pretty hard to do. firstly you would need to find out how many kms the car had in japan (import papers would be a start, but that doesn't help if the odometer was changed before being imported). then you would need to find out if the odometer was changed, and if it was, how many kms it had done when it was changed and how many kms were on the new clock that was put in there.
  25. ricciardo ended up posting times faster than glock and truli. interesting stuff. will be interesting to see how he goes in quali
