  1. I think the new look was a good move. Although as said before, when i first saw it i instantly thought big astra. Definitely looks better than the other models. The fact is though, give it 1.5 - 2yrs, and they'll be running the roads like ants on their way to a jam doughnut. They'll be commercial vehicles. They'll be used for government vehicles, business vehicles, cop cars, rent cars etc etc then every fourth man and his dog will have one. In saying that though, if ever needed a big car to drag stuff around in i'd probably get a commodore or an xr6t, and be just like every other shmuck.... EDIT: spelling
  2. hardware stores, bunnings or mitre 10. Or you could try autobarn or repco, they should have it.
  3. Automotive double sided tape? Its thick and foamy looking.
  4. Thanks mate thats what i was thinking, oh yeah what about pineapples?
  5. Hey guys, just doing an online quote and i was just filling out the modifications section. Who here would classify swapping the stock r33 smic for a stock r34 smic as a modification worthy of note with insurance? Thanks.
  6. Use the search function man. People stop replying to these sort of questions after they've been asked a million times. If you can't find any results, probably better to post up in forced induction. Remember too, google is your friend.
  7. Starter motor. My n13 did this quite often on startup. It was like a screechy geary noise. Didn't sound good.
  8. I've got these too. In the dry they seem to be pretty good, and are very good for durability. They seem to be a hard compound tyre. In the wet i don't trust them. I lost grip a couple times just driving normally around corners, mind you it was the first wet day for a while, so that probably had an impact aswell. But in the wet i take extra extra care. All in all i think they're an ok tyre. I might try to go for something else next time though, something with better grip i'd say. Even for the dry even though they do grip good, i reckon others would grip better. Really depends on road surface to.
  9. google is your friend
  10. are you serious? you can't find an auto skyline? When i was looking for my car, 4 out of every 5 were auto.
  11. definitely diy http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=144283&hl=
  12. I think what flash89 is getting at is that he had the auto watch system installed as an aftermaket item on his car, and he also recieved/acquired this tag. If it is a genuine nissan tag, it may be the key number for your car.?. Are there numbers that look like eg. X1234 or something of that sort on the tag? PS don't quote your numbers in yor reply
  13. its the same as the z32 300zx. If it helps there should be a book there or something to look it up what part number you need. If you go to repco they'll look it up on their computers for you.
  14. I thought the fuel pump sucks fuel from the bottom of the tank anyway.?.
  15. Does it really matter? They're all good engines, who cares whats better than what.
  16. I'd be debating it mate. If it wasn't your fault, don't lay down and take the kick for it. Did you see how far the car slid? There's no way car doing 40kph has the inertia to hit something, tip on its side, and slide for 30m, assuming its a flat road and not downhill. They'd have to be going faster than that.
  17. He should be right with the turbotech. Myself and many others on here swear by them. Just don't go boosting it past 12psi otherwise your asking for it. 10psi is pretty safe. As far as spiking with the turbotech, what boost spike? Depends really I suppose what the application is. But for your stocko with a couple of bolt ons you should be fine. Have your checked your AFM? Cleaned it? Could be dirty. Check it, it may be one of the answers to your running richness.
  18. Ah that makes perfect sense. Thanks sewid
  19. Hey does anyone still have their stock airbox? On mine when you take the top cover off, on the inside of the cover is a cushiony paddy thing. It's quite thick. Does anyone else have this and do you know what its there for? To me it just takes up air flow space in the box, just wondering of it would be ok to remove or worth removing. If ya's want pics I'll post them up later. Thanks.
  20. Turbotech BC Got a spare 30 bucks? one of these is more than adequate. Takes 5mins to fit.
  21. Huge difference. Just bump the boost up to 10 or so and it'll be a different car. If you and a mate are handy with a spanner, then you can do all that bolt on stuff yourself. Save yourself hundreds of dollars in labour costs.
  22. O2 Sensor - $80 from eBay, you can probably get it even cheaper elsewhere.
