  1. Im not keen to work under extreme pressure on a car i dont know. they have invited me to travel down the east coast with them again this year but im not sure yet. yea bens crew would be the next best thing but its no 32 haha ill be in contact.
  2. well i am a mate of Savmans and skyvas but i wasnt sure what i was doing with last years crew. i will no doubt be floating about over the weekend events but still not sure. I was on a really good deal last year but didnt really think that anyone would match it for this year so i just sat back. now with all the hype of the even growing i kinda want to be involved again. sorry about that
  3. who needs a r32 trained service guy as im not keen to crew form my team as they are running in.... well its not nissan so its to hard to explain
  4. pretty sure your standard exhaust manifold is holding my turbo on. could be wrong thoe. lol
  5. ive had 3 300zx rims sitting in the shed for a while. i was unsure what i would use them for. Drift rims? turns out im getting as far away from 16" tyres as i can so i kind of want these gone. Im kinda after buy 2 get 1 free but if someone just wants 1 i will sell it separate. chasing $150 oh and i also have 2 16x6 work rims for sale. they are available now if need be or can hold onto them for a few months as they are holding a car off the ground as such $150 with 40% rubber. front slotted rotors to suit r32gtst calipers. chasing $100. all parts located in launceston you can sms me on 0400 563 199 if you like.
  6. cant say na they are 11kg each no tyres. the cst are 10kg each and i didnt weigh the DNA's i really really want a set of r33 GTR rims for circuit racing but im not sure how much difference 4-6kg weight difference will make lap time wise. the $1000 spent on them may be better put to wards a bigger turbo or bigger better brakes. i gess they will come but one thing is for sure r32GTR rims are mega light. i love them the best but would prefer to run 17x 9" rims.
  7. well the lenso's are way to hetic to go any where near a car. na im waiting to get some brand new rubber on them for round 2. funnly enough most people have commented on the lenso's and they are the bloody cheapest pair. i was originally going to get a full set of them but they were out of stock so then i got the origins then the lenso's were back in stock. i just can win. any way the lenso's will be as common as drift techs soon so i wont be buying any more. i will post up some pics of it once i roll it out side.
  8. hey mate na i dont think i have a engine spec run down in here. it's a r34 neo turbo. im very happy with its out put so far.
  9. well for the moment they are staying by just in case, but make me an offer if you want them. they are pretty good quality as they have done 2 track days 8 drift days and they have not warped or failed in any way.
  10. Ok so cage work has been slower than slow for me as i have been sick and also been away nearly every weekend with this comming weekend proving to be no different. this is some of the cage so far. the time is in profiling the ends of every bar. as of tonight i have the main frame work done so now its just down to all the bracing door bars ect. i have also seem welded some of the joints around the strut towers but im not going to hard core at this stage. # if you check out these photos all be it poor quality you can see that i have chopped out most of the rear parcel shelf. this made it heaps easier to being the rear legs of the cage down to the strut tops. probably the best structural place for them. i was planing to remove the whole shelf but after removing the boot lid and seeing how complex the hinges are i decided to leave that part alone. i did cut out the spring bit thoe so no i have to carry a stick to keep the boot lid open. i will also be making the rear bulk head up so it sits to the back side of the strut towers so adjustments to the rear coilovers is done from in side the car. while i will still have to get out of my seat to do it they are not easy to see in the boot so incorrect adjustments can easily be made. So then we move onto my brake upgrade. i got some R34 gtt calipers and rotors for very little cash making them a good upgrade. they are a good upgrade anyway as the run a 310mm rotor over the r32 280mm. for some comparisons R33 gtst run 295 and r32 GTR run 296 but the r32 GTR are also 2mm thicker than the GTS rotors helping in cooling. the R34 Gtt was seen the best bang for buck option considering i am only doing the odd club day at the moment. However for some reason i thought it was a bolt on option but i was wrong. i dont know where i read it or if i just dreamt it up as they dont fit. only reason i have found so far is they use a bigger diamiter bolt to bolt them onto the hub assembly. i am going to drill the whole out but i am concerned that they may not quite sit right still in reference to pad sweep ect. time will tell but the brakes may be held off untill the cage is finished and in worse case i have a spare set of r32 gts calipers floating about just in case. oh and i am also very happy with the items i got as i am guessing they are off a low Kms car genuine nissan pads and rotors with not to much pad ware. now to the few new toys ive got for it. some new wheels first wheels are Origin DNA-01 17"x9.5" +15 offset second are CST hyper zeros 17"x9.5" +15 offset and Lenso D1R 17"x10" +15 offset. as ben would say fully Dorifto spec. i couldnt decide what style or type i wanted so i brought 2 of each and then i will decide. also they may be changing colour as that all i could get them in at the time they are crap pics but im sure you can imagine that i can drive the car out and take nice pics of it at the moment. and if you have a keen eye you can also see the D-Max roof spoiler that ive also go recently. this was a test fit for it. im not sure what colour it will be. white if i want it to match the rest of the kit or gun metal if i want it to blend in and not stick out at all. basicly its what i have always admired on S13 silvia's and its not to common on R32s so ill see how it goes. hope you all like the update.
  11. i had seen a set once on yahoo actions but that was it. but 25mm is hardly enough to notice. i think the best would be to buy the gts to GTR rear guards off car mate. they only go on the lower half of the body work just like the GTR and mate that suit a 4 door. anyway good luck with it.
  12. Tas Brakes are they guys to go to about brakes. they are on the corner of margaret and fredrik? street. Simon in there is very very pedantic and i have never seen or heard a bad thing about them.
  13. i have been doing research about dropping a sr20 into my track built r32 for a while. i currently run a r32 rb25de + t and we decided to a ) wait untill that pops as its been going strong and B ) put a S14 black top in as they are a better motor but that makes the whole job more expensive. i also have the D-Max rear boot spoiler and roof wing the roof wing is yet to be painted and fitted. fitment on both the items is spot on. you really do get what you pay for. about the only thing i would change now would be the front bar as i find the GTR bar just doesnt match any other kits. i have a full GTR front end on mine and we fitted up a B&N kit and then took it back off. i have gone back to stock GTS-t side skirts as they match the look better. also what is that very JDM looking part on the back of the bonnet? what is it called or who makes it ect? sorry for crapping on its just this car is very similar to mine althoe mine is 2 door.
  14. this is my dream 32 4 door. except it would have to have a stock GTR kit all over it. even the stock rims finish it off nicely. if i got around to it id make the rear wide body spec like the GTR thoe. not easy when you have a door to include.
  15. i know you have probably already decided to go for it but the 26 head would be a far better option. the sound of the 6 throttles is nice to. could you please PM me a price for the Greddy manifold throttle body and possibly tomei cams? for a friend that is. thanks damo
  16. well thanks for the offer but i thought it was pretty clear. desperately seeking R33 GTR rims. i think thats clear enough.
  17. well not only do i require 17" but they must be r33 GTR wheels. there is always plenty of sets for sale on the main land but id like to try local first.
  18. hi all. i am desperately seeking some r33 GTR stock rims. 17x9. im not after any tyres on them but if they have something that no one wants ill take them to. i have cash pretty much waiting and burning a hole as it goes. thanks damo
  19. they have been spot on so far. having the damper control is so good. i had steering issues at round 1 of the tas drift series but that was in no way caused by these. at the track i feel even thoe it wasnt back to back that they helped me cut half a second in lap times. some really big updates are about to come over the weekend providing things go to plan.
  20. thanks tim thats the way i read it to but was not 100% thanks Bezerk. i already have a surge tank setup in the boot so it is sealed up now. i was thinking along the same likes as you as it would be easier than making one fit over the original shelf.
  21. ok cool ill get onto the doors. so do you mean dont remove the shelf or there will be no strength or they have bugger all strength any way so it wont matter if you remove them? thanks
  22. i know this goes back to page one of this thread but i am in the process of welding in a cage into my r32 gtst. one of my mates has 2 r32s with roll cages built by the same person. on the first one the rear legs only mount to the wheel arch on the cabin side of the rear fire wall but on the second one they did, they welded the rear legs to the strut towers in about the same place as yours. then put a bar between both strut towers like a strut brace. i am planing on putting my rear legs onto the strut towers but was more so wondering about the removal of the rear fire wall. after pulling off some alloy sheets i had on as a temporary measure i fount the whole thing to be quite weak. did you find or do you know if it has much structural strength in regards to the rear window and surrounding parts? i am guessing that the roll cage should stiffen up the rear enough without it at all? and does it weigh much? the whole parcel shelf steel work? and lastly id like to remove the big fat intrusion bars in the standard doors. are they easy to cut out without taking the door to an inch of its life and how much weight would you have saved there as i know the doors are heavy. thanks in advance.
  23. wow nice car. top price. just need some engine bay and interior pics. this is definatly what i am looking for but at the wrong time im afraid.
