  1. Hey guys, any of you see a stockish looking white r33 with white avs rims and a zorst cruising around it will most likely be mine. I bought it from the gold coast just over a week ago and havnt really been driving it around yet. im still getting over the cost of running a turbo car. going from $40 for 600ks in the pulsar to $80 for 450 in the 33 is a shock. anyways if anyone see's me give me a wave. i work in brisbane during the week with energex and am only home on the weekends at the moment.

  3. as the topic says, i need an air con condensor for my r33 gt-st 96 model. in good condition. also, i need a new engine fan shroud. cheers
  4. also, as i have no aircon condensor, i have no thermo fans running at the moment, its coming into winter and i havnt been driving it hard but i need to get it sorted out as soon as possible. also, the engine fan has no shroud over it, will this cause the fan to not cool as efficiently? the air con condensor kind of looks like a radiator ecept much thinner and sits infront of the actual engine radiator and the thermo fan should connect to the condensor, is that right? should i order a 14" thermo fan of ebay and attach that to the radiator in the mean time just to add abit more cooling capacity or will it be right as its quite cold here at the moment and i do no driving through the day? any ideas would be appreciated. cheers p.s i can take a pic of the engine bay if that might help you understand the situation abit better.

Hey guys, my r33 has digi climate control (obviously) but at the moment there is no condensor in it so i dont actualy have air con. what are one of these worth? i have a few months to source one before we come into summer so if it takes me awhile to get one... bleh. would nissan be able to order me one? i know theyll charge an arm and a leg but still.... the guy i bought it from said there was no condensor when he imported it, im guessing someone in japan removed the condensor to make way for the fmic or somthing of the sort. anyways, what am i roughly looking at for a new condensor? cheers
  6. Yes it will be around $300 for labor unless you know someone who can do it for you. Also, people will generally be alot more helpful if they can understand what you are talking about. Work on the spelling and gramar mate. cheers
  7. Perhaps your clutch is slipping badly and will need to be replaced? does your car ever free rev when you change gears? say, you go into 4th from 3rd and when you put your foot on the accel the car revs up then keeps going?
  8. thats what i was thinking. ill get the alarm kit and central installed and im hoping that will cure the problem. if not ill have an auto elecy take a look, car wiring rages me. cheers
  9. i still think its got something to do with the alarm that was in the car previously and removed. if when you unlock your car the light comes on, im guessing if my remote central locking isnt working that could also stop the interior light from working. when i get my alarm/imobliser installed im getting the central locking fixed and ill ask them if they can figure out why the lights arnt working. cheers
  10. also, the green ring around my ignition doesnt light up when i open the door to get in. im guessing this is hooked up with the interior lighting so if the light doesnt work when i open the door up and green ring wont light up either. arrggh its shitting me... also, how do you remove the clear plastic interior light cover? cheers just had a quick brain wave.... the central locking on the car isnt working, who knows why, maybe changed in japan or sumthing so if the standard central locking isnt working would that have something to do with the lights not working nor the green ring around the ignition coming on? cheers
  11. hey guys, the interior light in my s2 33 works fine when turned on but when set in the middle, to come one when the doors are opened it doesnt. this is a total pain in the ass in the pitch dark at my house. where should i start looking for the fault? obviously the bulbs are fine as the lights come one when turned on but not when the doors are opened. cheers

  13. hey guys, picked up my 33 but the remote locking doesnt work and also the central locking when i use the key doesnt work. do any of you know how much it would cost for nissan to reprogram the remote locking and get the central locking itself fixed? i have the remote key and when i press both the buttons on it the little red light on the key comes on but the car doesnt unlock. cheers
  14. the car is running fine, when its not idling. the few times its almost stalled, the battery light has come one when the revs are jumping up and down and the car feels like its going to stall but doesnt. could it possibly be the idle bypass valve sticking? if i come up to an intersection in 4th, stop, and put my foot on the clutch the car is fine, but if i stop put it in 1st and roll forward then stop, the car starts having a fit and the revs jump up and down and the car shudders like its going to stall. any ideas?
  15. well i took the terminal off for a few mins and made sure no power was left in the car and took it for a drive all was fine until.... came back up my drive in 1st, put my foot on the clutch to slow down and bleh.... i lost power steering for half a second and i thought the car had died but the revs kicked up and it kept running. this is really not cool aye, when i take it to the peformance shop ill get them to check out the afm and all that. cheers
  16. does it matter whether i disconnect the negative or the positive? the positive is easiest to get to as the negative term connection is facing away from me and will be a prick to get un done.
  17. so while the car is turned i: 1. disconnect the battery 2. turn on the lights and pump the brake peddle 3. reconnect the battery 4. turn the car on and go for a drive. is that right? cheers
  18. to reset the factory ecu i have to unplug the battery for a few hours? as for the stock bov, i dont have it as i bought the car with the turbo smart already installed. failing that im booking my car into a performance shop nearby which do good work for a full service/tune and hopefully they'll be able to iron out the problem.
  19. hey guys, picked up my r33 which passed all the inspections but i have a problem. the car randomly stalls at low revs. i have heard that this can be caused by the bov? i am running a turbo smart type 2 which is plumbed back. its really weird, ill boost the car then slow down say, for a corner and when im sitting waiting in neutral the revs will jump up and down then the car will stall. do i have to adjust my bov? or is somthing else causing this? sorry for the newb questions. cheers

This is total BS! $3 a liter? so what happens when the country just shuts down because normal working class people can no longer afford petrol? are we all going to ride f*cking push bikes to work? how is it that in less then 3 years petrol has crept up from .70c a liter to $1.50 per liter? doesnt south australia have enough oil under to make our own petrol to service australia for the next x hundred years but because we are a part of opec we cant use it. also, is like .50c of that $1.50 pure tax? I wonder how long it will be before there is a total revolt in this country.....

  24. hey all, next week im going to look at a series 2 r33 gt-st thats for sale and i was wondering if you could give me some pointers as to what to look out for when i check out the car. Car has done 80K's and looks very clean. mods are : blitz turbo timer blitz pod turbo smart bov defi black face boost guage tein adjustable coilovers and tie down rods enkei 17" rims GT-R wing the asking price is 20.5k, does that sound reasonable or should i bargain abit? The colour is pear white and the car is a manual ive fallen out of the import loop for the last 2 years but finally im on my way to owning an r33. well, if theres anything i should look out for me let know. also, if there is anyone on the goldcoast who is willng or able to help a newbie, would it be possible to come check out the car aswell? As this is my first turbo car i really dont want to get stung with a car that looks good but has been thrashed to death. cheers
