The spare parts guy who works at Trojan has a Silver 33 and same rims as mine - only he has painted his black. Can't remember his name, but he's a nice bloke.

Welcome Paul... You're gonna love this place -
How could someone not like their GTR?
-
I'll try to go if I don't go to Oran Park that weekend.

haha I too received the 'small dick' signal yesterday, simply because he wanted to jump across into my lane so he would be first at the lights, I wasn't even going fast at the time, I think he was just p!ssed off because he didn't think quick enough. I wonder how he felt when he realised I was a 'no dick at all'? Made me chuckle anyway LOL

The Wakefield hillclimb track is sooo tight its almost no fun at all LOL good for karts i imagine. I had an absolute ball yesterday at Fairbairn - is there a cure for motorsport addiction? If so... is it called bankruptcy?

Anthony they are great photos. The motion/movement backgrounds came out well. I'd love a hi-res copy if its not too much trouble. It was terrific to catch up with you today, we look forward to seeing you at the next climb

Guy? hmmm I better check... nope... I found these (*)(*) so I'm pretty sure I'm a girlie. Steve!!! Was that your ass I was on the whole way?

Next Hillclimb is Saturday 01 September (Saturdays are not common). Helpful stuff Memberships are due this time of the year... so if you join, you get to June 2008. You can download the Entry Forms and Supp Regs from the website and pay online/direct deposit into their bank account. You can join CAMS on the day at the club (confirm this is still possible with the secretary). Entries should be paid and emailed in before the day (usually Wed/Thur before the event) or cost $20 more and risk missing out if they have a full field. http://www.sdmahillclimb.com/ You need - Approved helmet, 100% cotton clothing from ankles to neck/wrists, small fire extinguisher with metal bracket (on sale at Super Cheap atm for $19), blue triangle to identify battery location i.e on bonnet, a piece of gaff over the positive terminal on your battery. Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. Not much required for a fun time. I'm here to help if anyone has any questions. Cheers Michele

There were three GTR's entered in the SV category and they came 1st, 2nd and 3rd - Mark (hubby), Dereck and meeeeeee, then followed (if I remember rightly) an EVO 6? a WRX and I thought there was another. Apart from the first three, I can't remember the order of the rest of the category. I came third in the Type 1/2 over 3001cc category with the GTST and then Fastest Lady. IT WAS FUN! When they release the results I'll post in more detail. I had around 3-4 PB's today, even with the GTST so I'm happy as a pig in mud atm.

I've had yet another great day at the track and I managed to come home with three trophies and hubby received one. Take a lap with me in the GTR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoaVam3rqMo Thank you to the SAU'ers who came to say hi today, it was great to catch up and meet some more people PS I tried the camera strapped to the seat, it vibrated too badly, so I youtubed the helmet cam version again. Managed to stop the clunking noise - I attached some gaff tape to the batteries as they were clunking in the housing, ever so slightly, but enough to cause a loud clunk.

Thanks SilverSlyder, I'm guessing my times tomorrow will be slower in the GTR than the GTST until I get used to the new girl (I'm running both tomorrow) I need to spend some time somewhere like Wakefield to get used to her. I wasn't sure about the silver, I thought I wanted gunmetal, but now I have this one I'm totally converted LOL

ahhh the one I saw was still at RJ's and a little too close for comfort. Must have been after you guys left, I didn't see it happen, just the tracks.
-
I saw that burnout on the road beside my car when I returned... I apologised profusely to my GTR for leaving her alone with that naughty car where she could have been assaulted LOL If you guys were still there, it must have been close to you.

I just spoke to reception at Wakefield, they have the 21st pencilled in for a "Speed off the street" day at this moment, however she did warn that Fridays are popular for private bookings (at approx $2100 a day + ins) and may be changed to a private booking. She suggested I call back in approx 2 weeks and see how its going then. She also explained that the 90+ cars I experienced recently on a weekend was very unusual and even caught them off guard. For example, today only had just over 40 cars. So we could pencil in 21st Sept and if it ends up being privately booked, we can reschedule to the weekend. I'm even happy to share my helmet cam around if you want to try it out. If you want to buy one... the simplest setup I could find was also one of the cheapest options. See ebay Oregon Scientific ATC2000 Waterproof Helmet Cam with 2 GB SD Card The same seller had different prices for the same item, so look around for the best deal on the day, I paid US $129.95 + US $20 Postage to Australia, converted... all up around $179 with 2gb card, delivered in less than a week. I bought from seller: kleenmaint http://stores.ebay.com.au/DONNAS-OUTDOOR-ELECTRONICS - check out the savings to be had on buying one without a card and getting the card for about $20AUD separately here. ie there is one there "buy it now" from same seller for just over AUD $100 without card. 8 available http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ATC2K-ATC2000-AT18-...oQQcmdZViewItem The pros are its self contained, single unit, easy to operate. The only con so far is that I guestimate where its pointing and havent done too badly, but you don't have a view finder to see exactly where its pointed. Cheers M

We can bring some fold up chairs as well. Happy to bring anything else if needed. -
I had dinner guests at a restaurant nearby and ducked over to meet a few... I didn't want to go back to the restaurant LOL I watched from the table as you guys rolled by in your line of Lines and almost left my guests stranded to join the queue *pout* The cars looked great together, there are some fine rides out there. Cheers Michele
