  1. Wouldnt know. The fins I use (along with my wetsuit) come from a company that went under a lonnng time ago - there all my dads stuff from when he was a wee man like myself. im off to worskies now
  2. me and my dad go diving out of our boat a fair bit, prehaps you can come along once your qualified? We have our own gear (masks, tanks, vests, fins, etc). If I was you id go for a lighter weight with less air in your vest. For a start, you wont waste as much air inflating it, you will be more mobile as well as a large amount of weights can be quite uncomfortable. Also, inflating the vest reduces your ability to move around. Also, how thick is your wetsuit? A thicker wetsuit will cause added bouncy. Personally, I wear a 7mm set of johns and a 5mm top, which adds quite alot of floatation to my setup, meaning I dont have to use a whole lot of air at all to maintain even bouancy (I cant spell that word )
  3. Mushroom, I got my divers cert back when I was 13 Trick is to get your weights right, find a combination that works for you and stick with it. Also, allways remember that you can allways dump weight but you cant gain it.
  4. in for page 2! keep punching....

  8. Royal brisbane I think... The big one near the valley, next door to the royal womens and the BP/Hungry jacks, also near newmarket road however I cant remember the name of the big road its on... (unless that is newmarket road? Or does newmarket road come off Kelvin grove road and connect the two?) Only reason I went to the hospital is because I rang that 13 HEALTH number - i was on hold for aprox 30 mins but they were quite helpful and informative.
  9. I believe I can see you there too. Or maybe it was tonselitis he said? Maybe. Its written down somewhere.
  10. The night didnt go at all how I had planned it actually. Better luck next time then I felt kinda silly sitting in the hospital ward, but I got a good appreciation for what the staff have to put up with. Raving drunkn/high/tripping lunatics, violent maniacs who got the snot beaten out of them, impaitent old men, demented women, it was all there...... I was surprised they had no security on hand, a mostly female staff too. Compared to me who was just coughing up blood n stuff (I felt fine, mind you) I felt a bit out of place.
  11. Man people on these forum fight so much sometimes.... (Myself included)

Im sorry about the kinda half-disorginised way things went last night, believe me I would of loved to have had my car up there to whoop you all Im thinking north for the next one, glasshouse mountains style, and depending on peoples enthusiasm I might move it to saturday during the day as the views up there are spectacular, and theres a few nice cafe's up there where we could stop for lunch / refreshments, however its kind of becoming a "friday night" thing isnt it? I dont know, let me know what you think guys
