  1. first deca I did was a completely stock U13 bluebird. had no problems!
  2. exactlly at the end of the day Katie gets the ring she wants and I pay what I think is a reasonable amount. All I can say is forget the discount chains and the Tiff&C and you can get something very reasonable for a good price. and really for something will last your life it worth it.
  3. Bombing the photo rest here: https://picasaweb.google.com/100203254234701302909/Buller2012#
  4. yeah our first quote was a D 1.02 vs2 radient (for the setting we wanted) and it was 6800 mounted in gold 7500 in Plat. We ended up with a different stone to that but one I feel much happier with.
  5. nah not at tiffanies. most of their diamonds are actually prety low grade, eg a D colour VVS2 around .9 carat in that setting was 24K. we wanted over a carat. Cannot remember the exact specs for the 30K one.
  6. both same color cut and clarity but the jeweler one was .1 caret bigger.
  7. ah used to S chassis where it goes though tray itself.
  8. those are the rendering from the jeweler, so if it don't we don't pay. hell he would not even take a deposit. but yeah we were looking fro a very simple solitaire so makes it easy, tho means was harder to find right stone.
  9. put the battery in, adn the guard liners and he will never see it.
  10. in platinum however
  11. yeah this is a GIA one, we went thought a few found one that was right size and color and clarity, he investigated it was all good so shipping it over, he will do another check then we get to come in and confirm it. plus he came recommended from 3-4 of Katie's friends for doing their custom rings. should have finished product in 2-3 weeks
  12. I spent a little more, 5-10% to go though a jeweler, only as they have a guarantee, ie when it arrives if I'm unhappy with it I can decline it. as for tiffanies, the one we wanted there was close to 30K.....said jeweler is doing same setting in platinum for around 1/3 the price.
  13. hmm mines taking longer than that even. but has to go to shepparton. meh
  14. OK so looks like booked out now. 77 listed on site sat and a few more said they entered. so looks to be a fun day!
  15. for those that wondered what they missed and Sun morning:
  16. yeah but after you come to a stop, so I do a cool down lap but still you can light a match off the rotor after you aprk it, 20-30 min later has to have warmed up a rim quite a bit??? I'm prob wrong, should bring a thermal probe to one and have a play
  17. see this is strange I'm sure the inside of my rims will hit 200ish on the track, considering my brakes will get to 600-700ish having that much heat that close would have to heat cycle them???
  18. looks fun, if I'm in the country will come along.
  19. Event is filling quick Don;t wait till the last week!
  20. should be fine

  22. Soooo who coming for free spit roast dinner tomorrow. oh and my first ever r-spec tyres arrived today.. now do I put them on for buller or leave them to break cherry at sandown week after...
  23. Yeah for our level of motorsport they don;t really care. it's more for your own safety.
  24. Fkn tell me about that, I rode thougha swarm of bee's one day, open face helemt and they went in under the goggles down my jacket everywhere. hard on brakes dropped the biek in the grass on side of road and did a small strip show.. not my finest moment lucky in the country so I think no-one saw..
