Well lets pick 1 straight off the top of my head,,, Bathurst has a beautiful new pit lane and corporate area. The top of the track has also had major changes made. Do you think for one moment these would have happened without V8's. NO Oh what about Oran Park,,,garage upgrades that would never have happen either. Well this thread was about the wonderful Bluebirds running 26 pounds or was it 36. I loved watching George sticking it up the V8 boy's especially HDT. Cockrane's a smart piece of work,,,all the tracks he talks about have been improved and thats because of his V8 lot. I see nothing wrong with what he's done. I don't care what you think and the way I see it now,,,none of those track owners would have done a thing if he didn't push them. Next time you race at one of those tracks he has improved,,,look around and thank V8's. Eastern Creek is the only track to tell him to jam it and get away with it from memory.The joint is booked 12 months in advance. Neil.

Well didn't some of us have some fun last Sunday. 2 Skylines,,,both R32's one a gts-t and the other a gtr. The gts-t boys (Dad & Son)just simply drove the wheels off the car all day!!!. The absolute lunatic in the gtr had me laughing and clapping all day with his fanbloodytastic burn outs and launchs. Michele and I had a great running battle all day,,,sucked in girl I won because I know the rules better than you and I got lucky,,,. I have to admit your car is faster than mine though. Well round 8 at Oran park south turned into a joke. Saturday nights rain converted the track and infield into a watery mess. Finally at 10.30 the headmaster sent us all home because they only had one recovery vehicle and they were frightened it would get bogged as well. He didn't even give us notes to give mum. Personally I think it was handled poorly,,,as there were lots of tow vehicles that were 4wd and it wouldn't have been hard to get some owners involved. What was even funnier was the sound of go-karts running around in the back ground while he was telling us. We went around there after packing up to watch and they were coping very well. I had some interesting issues of my own. Seems either the nitrogen bottle or my regulator has a leak,,so 4 of us spend almost an hour swapping to wets (the car uses centre lock wheels). Boy was the swet pooring off me!!!. Next little issue is if a round is abandoned do I get my money back?,,, the jury's out on this one at the moment. Last issue is I hired a garage,,,$110 bucks,,a hell of a lot of money but the boss budgets for it so I don't argue,,,Oran Park and I come to a compromise as I'm going to do the day/nighter we'll just transfer the funds to that meeting,no.no.no the price has gone up for that event and I now need to pay 40 bucks more. Now I love O/P as a track and I'll cry when it's gone but I won't bloody cry when the managment are un-employed. Neil.

Love to see your dyno results when there done. My last race car was a 73 Ford Capri sports sedan. Lovely car but it was high mantainance. It weighed about 800 kilo's so it was a lot of fun. I always wished I had big bucks to buy new housing etc but always ended up using 2nd hand stuff with new factory rotors. From memory my early 13bpp on 51mm weber made 178kw's at the wheels,,,the next one with some improvements made about 190kw's and the last one on injection and wolf3d made 232kw's. Neil.

Yea nothing like a good NSU. Nice set of wheels you bought Baron,,,Me,,,I'm Horsley man. With the limiited experience I've had with the odd rotor,,,Nothing less than 1000 kays on the track or dyno will do. Forget the early posts,,,90% of the running in is not done in the 1st 15 minutes on any motor thats going to see lots of race use. The last 200 Kays are the make or break of a great engine. Be nice to it at the beginning,,,nothing more than 4500 and just gradually move up through the rev range. Rotors love to rev but have crap touque so you shouldn't load it up to much. Labouring the engine is not good,,,let it free rev,,,even using a lower gear than you would normally use. It's frustrating but it's all for a good cause. I miss my old Sports Sedan sometimes. Neil.
