R32 GTR FRESH REBUILT RUN IN ECT. CONSIDERING USING CASTROL 5W-30, GOOD?
-
It's my turn Nissan Skyline 1990 R32 GTR 400rwhp@18psi Damaged: Rooted engine big ends pistons ect Bought the car at 83,000km in good condition everything checked out fine compression, leak down ect. Thought I found one not similer to the ones I read in this thread before purchasing her guess I was wrong. ENGINE DEAD AT 89,000 All major mods running the stock computer modified by the looks HKS 25/30S ECT. Story time: Headed down the drags to beat my previous time 12.2 at a earlier date with my new button clutch launched her first time and she slipped so I rolled through. Second time launched around 3500 was on, second slipped hit the rev limiter for a bit then went into 3rd was fine. Slowed down at the end to hear KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK I knew what happened turned her off and towed her home to Mandurah 70km south of perth. When i was driving none of the lights came on or the oil levels went up overly high Looks like the engine has being used hard in japan around a track and the wear was over a period of time I just put the icing on the cake. Big ends shat itself good and piston Piston number 6 The engine has being rebuilt before new stock internals before which is odd. Thats in brief boys I could go into a 4 page write up haha FUTURE Rebuilds nearly finished by Sik Em Wrex Racing in Mandurah WA work has being great with quality gear im hoping for around 550rwhp by december. Everything has being prepared well

I've upgraded to the n1 water pump with my rebuild and spent the extra deffiently will be used with the high RPM shifting at drags or circuit
-
How many single clutch GTRS are on the forum producing over 500hp? how many are there with twins?
-
Thanks seems similer, hopefully the stronger internals and bigger fuel system will allow more boost so power fiqures should be beyond 500rwhp? I'm very interested in using the EMS 8860 over the D Jetro, has anyone used EMS and produced nice power
-
My RB26DETT has being rebuilt and the final stages are selecting the ECU either going for a EMS 8860 or Apexi D Jetro. What im interested in is what sort of power I will be achieving. Current Gear in brief Arias Pistons Eagle Rods Kings Bearings N1 Crank N1 Oil Pump N1 Water Pump Port Polished Head Block repaired and modified 840 cc Injectors big fuel pump HKS 2530S HKS ZORST HKS CAMS plus alot of other gear before the rebuild with tired internals i was making 400rwhp at 18psi with stock ecu modified

I rang up and they said that they will make a single plate up to handle alot of HP. I think I'll stick with a known twin plate which most guys use with big power
-
how long does Jim take to work
-
I'll consider these shortly when my cars running
-
I got confused for a moment with the cams & cam gears. The cams have being upgraded now I'm looking at the cam gears I notice alot of people have HKS ones are the gains great or worth it?
-
What are some suitable cam gears to suit rb26dett with forged rebuild and 2530's and other supporting mods.
-
Purchasing second hand clutches worry me? am I tripping
-
Hi guys, I'm rebuilding my R32 GTR at the moment and everything is assembled and looking great but I'm deciding what clutch to use. I've had a HKS Twin plate and that is dead I think the previous owner in Japan took it for a ride so I tried a Exedy Button clutch rated at my HP but failed. Now I want to return to twin plate or possibly triple. I've being looking at a Exedy Twin plate ( new model ) which looks good also OS GIKENS. After a HKS twin plate failing im not to keen on that.
-
Im rebuilding mine at the moment and Im using Arias Pistons, Eagle Rods, King bearings, new N1 CRANK, WATER & Oil pump plus alot of other gear with HKS 2530's after market cams ect aiming for around 500rwhp before I had 400rwhp on stock internals which had being rebuilt once before already

Nismo Twin Plate Pull Clutch
monga replied to Adriano's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
would this suit a 1990 r32 gtr -
any contact details on that bud
-
Seems reasonable at 15psi ? I produced 292rwkw at 18psi with aftermarket HKS turbos and stock internals with all the other minor mods similer to yours
-
I've damaged HKS Twin plate clutch recently ands its slipping is there anyone who could recommend clutch repairers because I'd rather repair it than replace it. I've looked online and I can't find twin plates HKS available for sale either at greenline or nenguns I'm based in WA Thanks guys

R32 Gtr Crank For Sale
monga replied to wreckedhead's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Has this being sold mate? -
I'm rebuilding my rb26dett and considering what internals to use at the moment deciding to go for arias pistons eagle rods both costing around 800-1200each which seems reasonable? Browsing through the for sale section I've noticed alot of second hand gear in supposed good condition for sale alot half the price of the new gear. What should I do ?
-
Thanks, I was on the hunt for 2 old turbo's
-
Is it true when you run in your new engine there is a high chance you can damage your turbo's, recently my mate unfortunately has had this happen to him with his 4g63. If so how can you aviod it
-
Thanks mate, what sort of price did you pay rebuidling yours and did you get a new crank from nissan? Any other comments would be appreciated guys

Hi guys I recently purchased a r32 GTR at the start of the year which seemed to be looked after and in good condition checked out by various workshops over here in WA and your ordinary RAC checks producing just under 400rwhp. Compression being 150psi across all 6 with 4,5 being slightly down around 145 and the leak down passing fine Unfortunately aftering travelling 5000km barely giving it boot I spun a bigend bearing at the drags on my second run , I dont know why it happened and was shocked because I thought the engines where bullet proof if maintained, until viewing many threads on here regarding the ageing rb26dett, so instantly after hearing the KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK I got the truck and took her home in the garage leaving her to rest till now. Well after saving its time for the rebuild and personally wouldnt know what sort of gear I should go with and would appreciate any sort of advice, it will be daily driven and barely abused avoiding drag and track racing. Sort of HP I am chasing is around 430rwhp on a safe tune with the possibility to reach 470rwhp with a more aggressive approach. One thing im interested in is a Apexi D Jetro ECU and possible Arias pistons, both being reccommended from various people. The current running gear on her is mild mods including HKS Turbos, exhuast, injectors, fuel pump, cams, clutch, flywheel and the stock ECU modified in Japan to suit the modifacations plus other stuff gear iv forgotten with the gear all maintained and in good working order. Latest Dyno All advice would be appreciated guys, Thanks Clint
