  1. well my mate just got his turbo's replaced and his stock ones had garret labelled also had steel insides, from a gtr v spec
  2. 1500 is abit overboard mate, focus around the 70-300 dollar mark
  3. n12 pulsar was my first run around great on fuel but the cops took it off me, iv upgraded to a 89' pulsar now for 600dollars in blue colour and mint condition its great
  4. I used one of these after braking an HKS twin plate, it was used up after 2000km with 290rwkw, im back to a twin plate now

  7. the stock internals are strong for the rb26's and if not thrashed I guess they could handle 300rwkw and with that power 11's are achievable. Maybe just replacing some important parts and getting areas checked might be the way to go to save some money, possibly pistons, head gasket, crank tested, turbo's ? I've just rebuilt my rb26 last year mate, using 2530's with forged pistons and n1 gear works great and capable to make over 500rwhp check my threads iv made alot of info there in the wa section id budget around 10-15grand for decent gtr built, the crank is 1200, ecu 1500, clutch 2k, theres 4700 on 3 bits
  9. mate I bought a gtr with compression of 150 147 151 145 150 151 and less than 5 % leak down then the bastard spun a big end after 6 months or so

  11. I might be wrong, but with my mates r33gtr we just popped in no gear then turned it off slowly and it went in 2wd

  17. This car was for sale at autowholer in vic park at a price much cheaper than 150k I think. I'd like to see its mod list in detail, I think the driveline hasnt even being modified
  18. d jetro is good and is suitable to make good power relatively easy, wolf is also good and steve at top racing knows his stuff. My gtr suitable to make 600rwhp with nos will be using d jetro and I have used wolf in my other turbo applications I think ant's car from xpseed was running 10's using a wolf

  20. I've recently being through the process of getting a new clutch when rebuilding my engine, having a hks twin plate and then a exedy button style. I considered the jim berry special but went for the new exedy range costing 2500 and its great to suit a 500rwhp gtr on the other hand my mate with a very fast evo spent a third of that with jim and his clutch seems nice and feels stock as

Thought I'd comment, this is my old motor with 2530's and low boost with a poor cat, same sort of mods as you guys minus the computer still using the stock one modified and no cam gears Old engine hks 2530's Fresh motor and some extra goodies should see over 500rwhp will be on the dyno in the next month hopefully
  23. mate your tuner sounds like a tool, he is saying its going to take him a full 3 hours to swap some injectors over. I'd visit another workshop

  25. man iv seen the 4litres boosted on stock internals make over 300rwhp, ovaboost did one lastyear, unfortunately the gearbox likes to give way. good luck
