Michael...only Joking with you....... The best exhaust are the ones that have the following. Cat...Resinator...Muffler...Hot dog.......all in that order. So if you want to get one custom make sure they are all 3 INCH. Stainless will give it a different note than mild steel. I will be fitting a muffler in mine soon... The muffler you should get is the one that is straight through and not bent inside like a snake....but acts as a larger resinator. If you have money...just buy a Japanese one for your car..all the good types will have res.muff and dog Good luck

Where To Mount An Oil Cooler?
700HP-GTR33 replied to tjandriesen's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
TJ has not bought a greddy unit....but an off the shelf......19Row unit...which can only be installed below the passenger side front lights as I have discussed before. So he is in need of the items I have listed above..........tj can you keep us informed on what you had to go through to install this unit... seeing it was not specific to your car. -
I have known a few well skilled drivers who have terrible street ethics. Most of which have had serious accidents and loss of licenses. So if he has never lost his license for speeding..running reds...or drink driving and still has most of his points. YES BUY THE GTR.... If he likes to speed...hand-brake stop, fast launches and street drag....and thinks he is never going to get hurt. NO...you are going to kill some-one you dumb f**k.......and I really don't care for his life but the ones he will hurt. So I think I made myself quite clear.

What started out as a general topic to help out a father...ended up as a shit fight between Porsche and Nissan. Stick to the facts boys.....the next generation GTR will be like a soft sponge.....suited for the mass buyer. Really once you have driven a Porsche most of your life...it is hard to get into anything else........ So 997 second hand(N/A)....90K Approx...for a good one...and he will be happy. He might be swayed into an AudiTT or any other European convertable though...so he has alot of choices here. I would if he was serious about letting you come up with ideas...get him to drive a GTR34...just let him know you can organise the leather and a sun-roof later...this might sway him.

Just When You Thought Wrx's Couldn't Get Any Uglier!
700HP-GTR33 replied to bhappy's topic in General Automotive Discussion
The real problem I face with both these new cars STI and Evo10 is the narrow looks of the whole package. If I sit on the drivers side I am able to touch the passenger side windows without leaning across. I know that in England and Japan there are width restrictions so I wonder if this is the problem with the look of these new cars today. Some one with photo shop......could you please post up the same pic...but wider body...this I believe will shed some light on the current design problems engineers are having to work around. Anyhoo.....I would never buy that ugly thing....but have always liked WRX STi's. -
AFM.s You will need the RB25 or Z32 Type...Plus adaptors.... Or if you have the money...Nismo type...same size as yours...fit on and tune

Where To Mount An Oil Cooler?
700HP-GTR33 replied to tjandriesen's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Bob on gtr's there is hardly any room down on the drivers side.....Blow off valves are located there. R32 GTR Type oil cooler sits in front of the radiator. R33 GTR Type oil coller sits behind the passenger side headlight. So Ronin.....you have been corrected. Oh...don't mount it so rocks gravel or stones can damage it....you will be asking for trouble As for the extra money that was spent on mine...it was for 2 braided lines..approx.....3 metres in lenght each..which ran across the front of the radiator....Custom brackets to set up the oil cooler..to sit upright. 2 angle bends for the relocation filter and another 2 for the cap which went on the old oil filter location. So as I said......good luck...have fun -
Heathcote....on previous tune...last year....10 runs all below 12.7 12.3 BEST TIME...PASSING LINE AT 200km'S AN HOUR...NEARLY ON ALL THE RUNS....LOL

Where To Mount An Oil Cooler?
700HP-GTR33 replied to tjandriesen's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I bought a Trust one for my GTR33...but the supplier supplied the r32GTR type which sat where my air-con goes. Anyway...you will need to take off your bumper and wheel, including wheel arch and make up a set of custom brackets to get it to sit up-right. Take the panel(Left Front) off a swell, this will help you alot..lol Your hoses will not be long enough...so you will have to take measurements after you install the cooler. If you have the relocation kit you will find you will also need a 90 degree bend from the oil cooler...or something of that angle to get a braided oil line to fit. Good luck....I know I spent an extra $700 to fit the dam thing.....frustrating... -
OK...drove the car the last couple of days....power delivery is smooth with no wipp-lash... Have not launched it yet so unable to give you diff...in g force delivery Cams are rocking.....sounds lumpy. 2nd gear to 120km's an hour and backed off......hard to explain the power delivery. I will need to get it down the 1/4 mile or a track. I am sure I am going to break into the 11's...How far down depends on me and my willingness to launch it at 7000RPM.

$5000 To Get A Gtr Into The 10`s ?
700HP-GTR33 replied to groper's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have known a few XR6 Turbo owners... By the time they change their injectors,Fuel pump,springs...add there computer...whats it called the one you plug in and set it. then you un-plug it...(OH>>CAPPA BOX>>LOL)..anyhoo...front mount inter-cooler like the typhoon...etc..etc..etc..Tyres..and some work to the transmission(Auto)It has already cost them over $7000 and they are still running in the 12's. To up the boost....will be dangerous for them cause..pistons and design is flawed (70's Block made over..lol)...ie valves...pistons and some porting and machining is needed.......so on-top of the 7K add another 10K..Just ask G TECH or the people who claim they have these cars...but keep blowing them up and re-building them..So add $17K and they still will only have a re-liable 11 sec car...... Who cares about them cause 1/4 mile times means Jack....If they ever tried to turn a corner...they will come unstuck...lol -

700HP-GTR33 replied to groper's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Can be done............ 1-1 Used Big single Turbo$1700....including manifold 2-Power fc d jetro...installed and tuned.....$1700 3-Bosch fuel pump...$200 4-Second hand set of injectors...555...or...600....$450 5-Nitro...second hand...$350.....fitting $300 You will need to fit fuel pump....Turbo...injectors yourself..... Leave the tuner to fit...d jetro and Nitro... Total cost.....$4700...... You are going to run in the tens....but you will fry your clutch and maybe some other things.... -

Buy the 2530's(or -5s)......if you search for more horses latter with the ss's you will find the wall real quick. But if you have 2530's....a little bit of engine work and they only get better. 2530's can support 350hp each (700hp)...so you are go with them till you can produce more from your motor. The only choice made by most Japanese tuning houses for their street cars.

Thank you for your comments....I will try and get a afr graph and post it up soon....tuner will not be in town till thursday. The state of the engine also has a lot to do with the max power.....I agree. Was unaware that most tuners said that their dyno's showed lower readings than the others.....would have thought they would have the highest reading to lure the client back.(ie)"look at that great curve...look at that power I was able to tune in.." When is the next Dyno day for SAU(VIC)...would love to see all the cars rated on the same dyno.
-
RPM and SPEED(KM's and hour) are both the same. As for the 50RWKW I am under.....I believe his dyno needs to be callibrated...I have been told he is always 30 to 40KS's less than other tuning houses.

All of the technical info is available in RB26 turbo upgrades. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...80&start=80 Set up at 1.25Bar Yes I know it is a bit wonky...this is why I am asking this question. I have been told it is not on shoot-out mode......which is at 15km intervals on the graph...but at 5km interval, therefore plots are marked up and down.......making a more precise type curve
