I wonder if a series of fans in the exhaust system sucking the air out at high speed at low revs.will give you no lag?These fans could be designed to stop working as soon as boost starts to come on. Or am i thinking the wrong way. Do we need to build a pressure loop, at idle it builds and at take off forces the air into the turbos. This seems an easy concept to dwell on, where is the pressure most needed to spoll these turbo's up quicker? At pods,turbo's,exhaust manifold or plenum? Lets face it ,if spolling is helped so lessens the lag at low revs.A 1000rpm drop would help almost everyone.

Why are you buying the AFM's if you are going for the D-Jetro set up that does not need AFM's? Cheers. Japan is on Holidays so it might take a few weeks after the order and payment is made.

A small fan, electric fitted before the AFM will work it could be installed neatly after the pods. The D-getro (APEXI POWER F/C)system gets rid of the AFM, is this what gives us lag? They claim, the turbo's have almost instant response after tuning. Great Topic. :sorcerer: :sorcerer: :sorcerer:

Freind has one, need to change springs, get a front intercooler ,doors don't shut properly,on and on. Stay away, look at the holden ssv (VE) at least it will look new in 5 years. A VX or BA will just be another car.

These come with a waranty guys.......$2850 with manifolds , all new. Expect to pay $3300 plus.....come on. You can pick up too...how good is that. Cheers -

Hi David, There are some who think they know and some who know. Does the workshop have a dyno, and has it performed upgrades or mods on gtr's? What power rating are these turbo's anyway? Do they know the line sizes they need to use water and oil? Have they talked to you about meeting your goals on performance? Ask them lots of questions to find out if this has been done before, and with what results? If they have not seen it or done it themselves before, your looking for trouble. I would rather go with a proven set up before undertaking this set up. To save a few $100 dollars , might even de-value the price of the car. Take Care Tekin

Thank your lucky stars firstly you can ask this question. Hope no-one was injured, your pride would have though. Buy a lottery ticket this weekend. On the parts side forget selling it as pieces. Advertise it as wreck for sale in the Forum , most of the people in the used car section know what the parts are worth and know how to sell them. Shit happens, sell the thing and move on.

David, Yes Power fc came with controller.... You have chosen wisely(2530,s ) The cams and gears with stronger springs and bolts are only needed for peak performance at high RPM...ie race track or drag. The standard cams are good for street and some track work. Tune the car for good mid range response and enjoy. On the other hand if you are looking for High Dyno results..and after track work aswell as drag .the above is needed. The cams are roughly $1000 and gears about $400 Bolts about $500 Approx and spring $500Approx.I have not headed down this road yet,pricings are approx, but thought i could do it at a later stage of the cars development. Take care PM ME For pricing details for products. As I said ,on a gtr the mods are endless.

Hi there, The Project you are undertaking sound like mine. 700cc sard injectors,Nismo( fuel,oil,water,regulator)Splitfire coils, Iritop-7 plugs,Power fc,Avcr boost controler,HKS dump pipes,Manifolds,GT2860-5(which i have a set for sale with manifolds brand new). You have missed the following. New lines, Braided oil(smaller lines than the originals) New water lines,also connected to the Turbo's Gasket sets for Manifolds and turbo's. New coil pack, New Spark Plugs-7 heat range. You really dont need a boost controller if you are happy winding up the actuators to 1 or1.1 bar. You said dump pipes.....yeah you need these for the 2530's...oh sorry gt2860r-5...just so you can spool up earlier. You might consider having some oil mods done ,prevention is better than the cure Don't forget though.....cams and adjustable gears with stronger springs and bolts are required to get the full potential of all good turbo upgrades. Oh then you will be able to go so fast....you need to upgrade your brakes....front only will do. The list is never ending in a gtr You missed some , but yeah 9K Plus /Approx will do it. My second set of -5 Turbo's i an selling with manifolds for $2800.(Brand New)..so shop around. Injectors i bought for $890.Coil pack for $700.Sparks$170.Dumps HKS $700.Fuel PumpN1 $550Approx.N1 Regulator $270. Power fc $980.Allow $200 for lines and $200 for gaskets.Allow about $2500 for labour and Tune for these items.So do your sums. Lag is slighly higher than the factory units. You need a set of hks dump pipes to get them to spool up quicker, and might need new braided oil lines, smaller than original to protect the turbo's from over supply(These are ball-bearing and need less oil through them). If you are concerned about the lag, get a D-Jetro Power fc set up and lag will be in the past. Slight mods such as air intake and exhaust(3") would have a great affect when these are installed. You would need to get it tuned after fitting.You need to tighten the actuators to set the boost up if you do not want to use a boost controller.Do a search to see results on these turbo's. Hope I have been some help. -
