^^ fair call. So I may as well just get the cams on Nengun...
-
Surely Nengun makes some profit. I have heard that there are huge stores inwhich to by the goodies. Maybe thats just a myth
-
I am off to Tokyo in April and was wondering if anyone knew where the best place to by things like cams might be? I have a mate who lives there but when I ask him to get pricing for me its always more expensive then nengun etc... any ideas??? thanks in advance.
-
To get to 300rwkw I would think about 21psi should be enough. But I will probably stay at 17-18psi and see what I get. Would be happy with 280rwkw atm.

thanks for the info guys...

Possible Air Leak, Please Help
GunMetalR33 replied to GunMetalR33's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Yea, it was an air leak in one of the hoses that goes from the turbo out of the engine bay -
Anyone, someone must have done this before. I have seen a few Stags with the r34 front???
-
Anyone know whats involved in getting the r34 front on the r33????
-
I have a turbo from hp in a box as well and no complaints here. Mine is the 6 blade GT30 center with a .7 ar comp housing and a VG30 exhaust housing which I think is .8 or something???? it makes full boost by 4000 and should do 300rwkw with cams. I currently have 250rwkw with 17psi and no cams. Again, Morrie is a good bloke and easy to deal with.

Thanks, looks the good but too Xy. Does anyone know whats involved. Are there any mods required to bolt on the guards, bonnet and lights etc
-
Does anybody know if its possible to place an r34 gtt front on an r33 gtst series 1, and how difficult it is? I am talking about head lights, front bar, quarter pannels and bonnet...

Changing Injectors
GunMetalR33 replied to skybee 93's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
as above, you need a programable ECU like a Power fc. Then you can set the injector trim, which will at least get you to the tuner. -

Bass: I will still do the trial as the leak that I have might well be in the current plenum gasket otherwise its in the piping which I have to re-run anyway. Only trouble is that you wont get a before dyno run. I will still write up a fittment guide and a dyno run after the install etc... I will take the $380 3-5 days delivery and can start work on the install the weekend that I receive the plenum, what do you think? -
Possible Air Leak, Please Help
GunMetalR33 replied to GunMetalR33's topic in Forced Induction Performance
arh, nice idea. The problem that I have is that it only seems to have problems above 0 psi, so I guess it needs a bit of boost to open the leak or something... -

Anyone had probs like this before? -
Hi, I was driving back from work the other day and my car was running fine. I was giving a a good burst from time to time then started to notice that the power was progressivly decreasing. By the time I got home I could not boost it over 5psi and at the point it runs realy rich... I know its rich due to the state of the plugs when I pulled them out to do a compression test, which seemed fine as well (all within 10%). Things I have done to fix it are: 1) re-fitted all intake piping after the Afm and before the throttle body, there were no obvious leaks. 2) replaced the Z32 AFM with a mates and it made no difference. I was thinking it could be: 1) crank angle sensor? 2) plenum gasket? 3) maybe a pin hole in the cooler, I have checked and cant see anything? Any suggestions would be great, I am thinking air leak but its very hard to determine where it might be???

Bass: I cant do the trial thing ATM as I seem to have an air leak in my intake somewhere and the car is running like sh*t, it would not be worth me doing it as you wont get any real results until I fix the issue. Adriano: Its probably alreadsy been asked, but do the ones that you can get fit the standard rb25det TB? -

Yea, I am in. The throttle body thing will slow the process down little though. I thought it fitted the standard TB... -

I think the standard tb fits so this is not included in the price. -

As discussed before, I am in for the 4 week option. I can do dyno runs before and after and have a 2 mp camera for detailed photos... -

Bosch Coil Pack Conversion - Help Needed
GunMetalR33 replied to Lazy-Bastard's topic in General Maintenance
I run 7's in summer and 6's in winter. In summer with the 7's gapped at .8mm I get some misses on coolish morings but they go away once I get a bit of boost onto the sparkies. Also, I found that adding a deg of timming where the missing is occuring in the ign map has helped a lot.
