paul yeh got it off yesterday, by myself, in under 2hrs. man im good
but still got pinging problem. steve looked up comp flow maps for me and it all fits. measured output temps on the VPS balancing machine and its all fine.
normally if youve got damaged valves ie bent or something then they wont seal with the seats and youll have 0 compression. if youre leaking some compression then its usually bottom end damage. ultimately the only way youre going to be able to figure it out is to take the head off
i did it for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago. took me 6 hours off and 4 hours on. it isnt too hard and setting up the timing is easy, just make sure you keep tension on the PS belt otherwise youll have to remove the raidator shroud to undo the bottom cover (pain in the ass)
good luck
13psi?? cmon i wonah see 16psi
youre better off getting a bosch 910 i reckon. you dont need a regulator but an SAFC would be good if the fuel map is thrown out by the pump
so put on the pump, go to the dyno and check the AF. if its runnin hell rich invest in some sort of fuel controller
dunno eh
ive got a water leak to sort out - that should keep me entertained for a few days. then when shannon's finished with the stands its turbo-off time. then back to the dyno. im not goin to SST again tho i dont think, might try barry.
yep will do
its another thing thats possibly causing the pinging so ive got to eliminate it soonish. ill do another ring-around tomorrow and see what i find
