  2. well looks like i better get my ticket dont know how im going to watch all these bands play at once because it looks good this year :\
  3. well in any r33 (i have the owners manual so this is 100% true) they were fitted with flares so i guess the owner in japan thought it was good to stay safe and cup holders are a Optional feature on a sedan......so im guessing yours is a sedan?????? the mirror is probity just a super cheap auto item japan style and gives more reason they liked to be safe
  4. Interested in r33 stock grille with the chrome S badge??????
  5. hey guys, i need some help with this as there is only gts4 r32 gearbox stuff on here and im still not sure about the r33 one. Is my r33 gearbox identical to the GTR r33 one with the gear ratios only being different an most importantly is my clutch just a standard gtst one the exedy part number is NSK7056-HD i got a email from exedy saying they were not sure but expected it to be the same as a gtst or gts one because its a rb25 anyone confirm this for me??? ,Andrew
  6. no problem just adding my opinions and not looking to start anything or play the disagree game i wouldnt be amazed if it cost more just because of attessa (remember it was 1995 - 1998 so it was still special "expensive") anything to do with my steering is GTR. power steering pump, ETC obviously the drivetrain. few other small bits im stuck in the P plater world. So i oversized my pistons to 87mm goodluck with sale and it looks so clean
  7. gts4 = Attessa a gts its way cheaper than a gts4 anyway and a turbo. The gts4 has a few other gtr bits on it aswell and the brakes dont look like my mates gts brakes so all in all for a non turbo it should be more than a gts i recon
  8. people with turbo's have to remember we cant all drive a turbo these days, AYYYYY there pretty much aimed at the P plater now like me and i brought mine for 9G (only running on 5) and have spent 4 on it reconditioning it. If you do find a young skyline enthusiast thats what the prices are for really. I dont see them as being a "cheeper" car than a turbo just a different option. Also the guys saying a turbo cost more is a load of shit: Proof Make Nissan Family Skyline Model Variant GTS25t type M Year January 1995 to 1996 New Price 281.8 ten thousand Yen Body Type Coupe Seating Capacity 5 ETC ETC Make Nissan Family Skyline Model Variant GTS-4 Year January 1995 to 1996 New Price 306.4 ten thousand Yen Body Type Coupe Seating Capacity 5 ETC ETC take a look at the site. http://www.motortraders.net/imports/spec.asp?id=627
  9. it still needs all 6 cylinders to get a correct reading, on a skyline it isnt to costly but on the xr6 it wouldnt even idle correctly (like the afm was blocked) then moved O2 sensor and it was ok dont worry i will have a dyno on here soon after i get money because the thing that rhymes with smishsmorson is happening on thrusday and ill have money 2 weeks after that that i can spend on that
  10. cheers shane, yeah the 5th cylinder was scored something fierce (my uncle reckons something fell down in there when they were doing a spark plug change or something.) the injectors in my top end are very fragile at the moment (plastic is weak) so i have found many top end problems but the bottom end is out of the way and no more engine cranes :banana:I think there is a well known place in Tuggerah a lot of people use because i need a 4wd dyno. Ill have the dyno runs up in 3 weeks because im busy for the next 3 weeks and spending a lot on "other tests" ..... with my Ms's the thing is all company's do this because its convenient for the customer because they can just stick the o2 sensor straight on Coby do this too, Note* you have to re wire the o2 sensor. Its worth it because all you have to do is go to Supercheap and buy the wire and take off the short wire and re wire it to length. My uncle knew they were going to be likes this because he knows someone with a XR6 ute that had to do the same problems because after 2 min of driving the ecu would be confused with the wrong information from the o2sensor Turn this thread into a Coby Vs DKNE Thread by posting up some characteristics of the two everyone!
  11. i brought some DKNE extractors and they are great. lol you guys are lazy as, im 17 and took my engine out in 6 hours the other day, mechanic Lee at maitland reboared the engine by 1mm (credit to this guy he does heaps of skyline reconditions all year and knows his stuff ) brought my oversized pistons, and all my other bits like bearings and valves and pumps, clutch etc .... and put the extractors on myself and noticed a design problem .... the o2sensor is only able to read 3 of the stalks on the extractors ( can be seen in the picture ) so my uncle plugged up the original place for the o2sensor and made a new on further down and it reads SOOOOOOOO much better. thats all i could find wrong with them they are worth the $420 and make a nice sound, so im happy my cars had about $4000 on it and im getting a dyno run soonish
  12. well seeing as i just got my P's i thought exactly what you are now and i love the skyline look, i wasnt going to go buy some other car just for speed i wanted its look but then i thought how to make it fast .... so i brought a GTS-4 r33 (non-turbo) r32's GTS-4 are turbo chraged, unless you make it non turbo. Easiest to get it as a r33 also i did want it faster after 3 months so i re-bored the cylinders and imported later pistons from nissan japan for $900!!!! its cheap and i have a N/A with a power out put of 165Kw (i want 180Kw) completely stock except for my pistons i guess re-boring that whole mm had drastic effects and reconditioned top end for the $900 spent its the best way to ask for speed from a non turbo. 3 weeks and i will have new coil packs, extractors, going up 50cc with the injectors, pod filter ( a whole 1Kw of power ) notice all these mods are ones police cant see except the extractors but they dont know that you really have plenty of options to choose from i brought my skyline cheap $9000 and reconditioned all my engine now so im getting a very "NEW" car out of this its all about sitting down making a list of the possibilities mate
  13. i brought the oil bible from the internet and it was expensive and has 300pages and tables on oils and the best ones running through tests and they know that if you want a long lasting engine the best in Amzoil and redline (same people make them) royal purple running second i recommended people buying the oil bible its worth a read .... a long read but i know amazingly 99% more than what i did, best money spent on the car so far due to just finding out my GTS-4 has a totaly different engine than a GTS and have one for sale atm for $600 in the for sale forums
  14. Item:r33 non turbo engine bottom end for sale Age: car had a crash and never saw the km's it had one its inbetween 40,000-50,000km Condition:The end has been completely taken apart and ever single component checked for stress and scorch marks and we were shocked the guy selling it said it had done that many km's it looks brand new and all the parts are in factory looking condition, DEFIANTLY NO PARTS NEEDED FOR THIS ENGINE CAN JUST PUT IT STRAIGHT IN CAR AND CHUCK A HEAD O IT AND YOUR READY TO GO!!!! Price: $600 slightly negotiable but its a loss to me and a gain for you at that price To Fit:This will fit a r33 N/A NOTE* This will not fit a GTS-4 N/A which we just tried to do Location:Maitland N.S.W Contact: (02) 43402286 home after 4pm and weekdays, not usually available weekends if so 0432285413 is my mobile and ca be called at any time if i dont answer im in a lesson or at work Comments: I brought this engine from a r33 that had been in a crash and only needed the bottom end due to mine blowing 4.2liters of oil every 400km. Found this engine was all ready made and good to go and thought to have my car up on the road in a week and now it wont fit thanks to my GTR bits! i need to get rid of this to start cleaning my old engine up. my loss is your gain here. due to being in maitland i dont have it at my house because the car has tools and objects needed to build the car so i cant get pictures. I have arranged for my uncle to take pictures of its condition but i personally think first hand seeing this engine will blow you away with how clean an new it is and we have de-glazed all the cylinders too.
  15. everyone on the forums should actually use links http://www.motortraders.net/imports/select...p;model=Skyline (*NOTE site linked above has been checked buy my best mates father who is head mechanic of Nissan Australia in N.S.W and all information provided matched with the Nissan stats on the Nissan computers at the workshop) reliable source please everyone refer to this in relations to everyones questions r32's were made in 1989 May and stopped production 1993 August (GTS-4 and GTR start production was August 1989-1993 August) r33's were made in 1993 August and stopped froduction in 1998 May r34's were made in 1998 May and stopped production August 2002 r32's come types not series : FROM MAY 1989 - AUGUST 1993 (EXCLUDES GTS-4 PRODUCTION STOPPED IN NOVEMBER 1993) (SEDAN ONLY, 4AT FR and 5MT FR) GTE type X < was the later model of a GTE (different standard features slight cosmetic design and more Optional features to choose from) (COUPE ONLY, 4AT FR and 5MT FR) GTS type J and X < the later model of a GTS (different standard features slight cosmetic design and more Optional features to choose from) each type, J being (coupes) and type X being (sedans) NOTE* This being the only r32 GTS (1998cc) to have a sedan and coupe under the same type (SEDAN AND COUPE, 4AT FR and 5MT FR) GTS type S < (still called a type S but with different standard features slight cosmetic design and more Optional features to choose from) (SEDAN AND COUPE, 4AT FR and 5MT FR) GTS-t type m < (still called type M but with different standard features slight cosmetic design and more Optional features to choose from) (SEDAN AND COUPE, 5AT FR and 5MT FR. EXCLUDING GTS25 type X) GTS-t THIS MODELS PRODUCTION STOPPED AFTER AUGUST 1991 AND WAS REPLACED WITH GTS25 *NOTE this is N/A after August 1991 GTS25 introduced with two different models type S (coupes) and type X * G (sedans) *NOTE 2 MONTHS LATER MAKING GTS25 type X THIS WAS A SPECIAL EDITION SEDAN OFFERING MORE OPTIONAL FEATURES AND ALIGHT BODY WORK MAKING IT 20KG LIGHTER (SEDAN ONLY, 4AT FR and 5MT FR)GXi type X < was later model of the GXi (different standard features slight cosmetic design and more Optional features to choose from) From August 1989 GTS-4 was introduced (SEDAN AND COUPE, 4AT FR and 5MT FR) GTS-4 (still called a GTS-4 but with different standard features slight cosmetic design and more Optional features to choose from) *TAKE NOTE THIS CAR GAINED 60KG From August 1989 GTR was introduced the GTR stayed the same from August 1989-1993 August then switching too r33 NISSAN REMODELED EVERY DESIGN LISTED ABOVE AGAIN IN NOVEMBER 1992 WITH THE USUAL SLIGHT COSMETIC CHANGE AND NEW OPTIONAL FEATURES AND STANDARD FEATURES. ( no point in saying what i just said again ) *NOTE all models listed were 1998cc (excluding X * G 1809cc) (GTS25 2498cc) (GTR 2568cc) Well thats about it for 32's other than the Nur spec and such and bathurst it doe not get classed as Nissan and falls under NISMO make. Now to answer the above question having vvt means its a series 2 engine. If thats factory engine it will be a series 1.5 all those things you stated are optional features for any r33 so its hard to say but the interior you said is series 1 and if the engine is original than its defiantly a series 1.5 unless someone took your skyline apart and mixed and matched ....... a lot P.S a lot of people are getting confused with there series and saying things that are miss-leading check the link and it gives you a list of optional features of all models from r32-r34 it will tell you straight away what series you have looking on the link IF ANYONE WANTS ME TO DO R33'S FOR WHAT I DID ON THE R32'S JUST PM ME AND ILL POST IT ON HERE
  16. i need the code for a nissan oil filter for my r33 please in the next 10min as i can get one from my friends house and there not sure if the r31 filter it is (nissan) is one that can be used for the r33. cheers Andrew
  17. well im confused, where am going to get extractors from now? is it a group buy still or did that idea just disappear, haha ????
  18. if you want a decent oil go, red line royal purple elf all in there fully synthetic the cheaper but alright ones are castrol edge mobil one (gold bottle) depends on your driving and engines usage and its km's safe to say use a 10w-40 if you are under 100,000km oil filter you can get from nissan for $12 and the engine with the filter on is 4.2 liters to fill it
  19. black gtst has my problem my amp has a switch too ill the power when the car is off but it still sucks the power so i pull my fuse out everytime the car is turned off for more than 3 days
  20. get a volts meter my mechanic lives like 4 houses up from me so im lucky but he puts the volts meter on the lugs (when my battery was bothering me) and it will tell you the current the alternator is feeding all you have to do is have to car running and know your readings on the volts meter to read the alternator if its not that go to supercheap and they do a battery test for free i know its a long shot but if its a bosch battery i sware 1 in 20 of them are screwed from scratch
  21. hesh just informing you yes im still in and what details you will need off me for the buy (P.M what deatils and such i need to give you, when you can) cheers, Andrew
