  1. Cheers guys will have to have a look at all the lines but as I am only new to all this (got the car end of last year) I thought I would ask first. The cap is a new blitz one so it should be all good, so must be a hose or what not. Cheers
  2. Hey guys and girls, I have noticed that my coolant gets very low, I fill it to max and the next day it is right down, but stays at that level... What could this problem be??? Is it a blown headgasket??? If so how much will it cost for me to replace and what should I get if i will be running a t3/t4 turbo (or something like that - one that is for mid range grunt)??? Cheers, Clakka
  3. Mate strips of velcro on the bottom will stop it dead in its tracks has worked with every sub box I have had...
  4. Yeah thought they looked a little dodgy... cheers for the help mate will be taking it to a suspension shop asap and getting the castor rod bushes done, or maybe put some adjustable castor rods on if that will fix it... Cheers
  5. Cheers mate, but habe a look at justjap, there are adjustable aftermarket tie rod ends for sale, so there is such a thing... The thing that is leaking is a big round thing that appears to be mounted on the front, so I believe they are tie rod ends, and when I got my car checked Nissan said I needed new tie rod ends... I was under the assumption (obviously wrong) that the castor rods were the same as tie rods, not just the end, as they look identical hence the question of what to replace the leaky ones with. The car's height hasn't been modified at all just thought this may be the case, or may just need an alignment. Cheers
  6. yeah mate fluid or grease whatever it is... sik 1 will have to replace soon i guess and I assume you are laughing at the autobarn bloke's stupidity...
  7. Hey lads and ladies, I bought my first liner at Christmas time and have recently noticed the inside of the tyres are majorly worn...so I believe I have tie rod end troubles (plus the fact that I can see them leaking fluid, which is a dead giveaway I guess :sorcerer: ). That is not my issue, my issue is what to replace them with... Should I get adjustable tie rods as the car may be used for drift or track or can I replace the whole thing with an adjustable castor rod the end looks like a tie rod end so I assume that this is a replacement for the ends plus some but don't know. Or should I just get an oem replacement...also do coilovers remove these things (bloke at autobarn said they would) but as we all know autobarn don't know much... Cheers guys... Clakka
  8. Hey mate am in the process of purchasing a do-luck front bar for my r32 gtst...there are pics on www.dmdtheimage.com and then just follow the links to bodykits and skyline r32...they also have a pic on www.teamjetspeed.com.au can't remember under what link but is there.
  9. Mate always good to tell the police what happened ASAP because I rang them a couple of days later and they said oh well too bad... Get the quotes, contact him and if he refuses to pay you are best off writing a letter of demand. Or just bypass him and send the quotes to his insurer as you won't have to pay a thing...(best option) If you wanna go private you could file an application with the Small Claims Tribunal as they will listen to claims upto $7k without any legal representation. Filing in the small claims is like $200 but if you are awarded damages he will have to pay your filing fee also. Good luck bro.
  10. Sorry mate, thought I could be wrong, but have been told by a mechanic that that was a screamer...might not go to that mechanic again then hey... However, frost is right you would need to get a front pipe fabricated and would probable cost a fair bit
  11. yeah man just a blown hose (a major one that is, not a pissy little vac hose) by the sounds of it...same thing happened to me but my BOV wasn't sealed properly so there was a dirty big vac leak once i fixed that it was all good...
  12. Mate just go the front and dump pipe in one because you won't need a screamer pipe (the one sold seperate) unless you are shooting for/have crazy horsepower...plus they are illegal and you will cop a massive fine and a nice yellow canary for the screamer. I am getting the 2 together and they say you can raise it by about 2-4 psi but I would still be cautious if you don't have a FMIC or anything else...
  13. From what I have been told mate is it will fit but will end up being about 6 inches too short...don't know how reliable my info was though.
  14. Yeah mate happened to me - was a major vacum leak out of the cooler pipe... car ran like a tank...so i would have to agree with everyone, sounds like a loose/cracked cooler pipe
  15. Mate I scored the parts all up for $800 and had installed by a great mechanic at GT Auto Garage in Newstead (BRISBANE) for $1000 as I am not mechanically minded so I would have broken something lol. But the general price I have found for parts is between $1000 to $1600 depending on the meat on the clutch clutch and whether you get a custom tailshaft.
  16. Hi guys, I own an r32 gtst with an rb20det in it i have a 3 inch exhaust and everything else is stock. I bought a turbosmart dual stage boost controller and i now have a boost drop. my low setting is on 10 and my high on 12. The only thing is that the boost response is not snappy, it lags around 5 psi then decides to slowly go up to the set pressure then once it hits that it just has a quick and steady boost driop back to like 5 pound... I have heard due to the ts boost controllers that boost comes on quicker and harder but it seems to be the opposite here. Before this was installed it ran 10 psi well and then after this it just seems to be laggy...I also have a autometre cobalt boost guage which is accurate so it's nothing to do with that. Just wondering if anyone knew what was going on, maybe the hose i ran to the wg actuator from the controller is too long or maybe the wg is stuffed...don't know that is why I am asking. Cheers Clakka
  17. cheers guys think I know what's crackin now so will give it a burl on friday
  18. Hi Guys, Got a basic question i know but I just don't know the answer... I have just bought a dual stage turbosmart boost controller and was going to hook it up myself, however I am not sure where the wastegate actuator is. If i pull the cooler piping off I can see part of the turbo but am not sure what the wg actuator looks like let alone where it is. Any help would be tops guys, pics would be even better. Cheers for your help Btw - what would be a safe boost level to run on a stock engine witha 3 inch cat back zorst and a pod...fmic coming soon...am thinking about 13psi Clakka
  19. bumpski...make an offer people it is just sitting at my mechanics waiting for a new home...
