Cause you need the water to actually heat up... If you run your motor to cold you can do damage and use more fuel, if you run to hot you can do damage and of course blow it up... On top of that thermo fans, electric one are rated by how many hours of operation they can handle. Like Craig Davies fans are some of the best on the market, rated to 50,000 hours of operation. So constant running the fan motor will lower its overall life... Make sense? "Typical white boy name, you know hat im saying" Reason its was too cold then too hot... Well these fans come with a simple temp control unit, it reads the temp of the water entering the radiator through a simple copper wire. You then adjust the resistance using a simple variable pot dial to suit when the fan cuts in. So in winter the water cools more rapidlly hence the fan cuts in and out so much that it gets the the point where it can actually damage the fan. So you need to adjust the pot to suit winter/cold condition. Then if you leave it, in summer the water gets to a point where its to hot and the fan seems to be just running constantlly. So you need to adjust it down. Remember this entire time while the fan is running, these things pull a solid 15Amps which is quite a load on your battery and electrical system. I hear all the time people say, ditch your fan as you loose 3-4hp, well the load that the electronic fan creates on your alternator is probablly more than 3-4 hp... Make sense? That tiny little fan infront of the radiator is to assist the air con and has nothing to do with the temp of the engine... It keeps air flowing over the air con core while stopped at traffic lights and so forth... Many re-wire this fan for other purposes but its job was designed to cut in when the compressor cuts in and has a relay driven from the air con comp circuit...

Yeah i Had to do thermos in the old GTSX when we did the engine swap... I didnt think much of them... Easy to setup, but in winter the car ran too cold, then in summer ran too hot... You could not get it perfect... They sucked arse basiclly... Mine were Craig Davies 14" one btw so it was not cheap. But only use one as a last resort, stick to the standard fan where possible

Yeah happy to sell de-registered to you, however it has like 6 months left on it, so the refund from rego is only gonna be like $200 may $250... So it is not going to save you anything buying it that way... That said to get it on the road in NSW you will just need to get a road worthy cert and take it to the RTA... however the roadworthy cert wll have to be done in NSW not in QLD as we have different rules of registration so even if you buy it from me in qld with all QLD road worthy paperwork you will still need to do it again down in NSW... Make sence??? So if I were to sell it too you for example Id suggest taking the car to a local shop have them look it over for you to advise on the cars quality then if your happy with that buy it from me, I can then drive down the coast with you and then simply remove the plates and rego sticker and its all yours... So we can both save on transport to Tweed... Either way happy to sell to you, your only 3 hours drive away also... You wont be un-happy with the performance thats for sure, makes up for the damage it will do to your face from smiling so much... -
Yeah you will get 20k no worries, I didnt get much action until I dropped the price to 20k I have not seen any other 300rwkw skylines under 20k so its sorta a new price point and hopefully it will sell today... Cause the new toy comes end of next week

Call just car and see, as my policy has been under a grand for the past 3 years... Ive owned skylines for 7 years now and it started getting cheap round the time i turned 20/21 You wont know until you call and get a quote, driving history and area you live in are more important to quotation rather than age. As with age mainly the excess changes... -
just pm "marfia" as he lives in Mackay and owns a highlly modified R33 He will know where to take it
