Exactly how is it "over rated"....

I can't believe some of you people are giving the Veyron shit!! It's simply the overall best car ever built.... as for not having a "proper" manual transmission, try making a gearbox that will last with this motor... Bugatti had a team of 50 engineers working for 4-5years JUST on the transmission. F1 cars trannys only have to last 1 race.... Each car costs 5million pounds to build, and they sell for under 1million... bargain of the century.... You just can't compare the Veyron to anything else, not an Enzo, Mclaren.... specially not a GTR.

Only prob is I don't have a twin plate... stock rb20det with unknown clutch... been in for the 75000km I've owned the car. I thought it might have been the gearbox too, but I can hear the box throught the trans tunnel and it doesn't seem to be coming from there... tried some nulon g70 in it to see if it would help but no change... only started less than 1000ks ago...

Just wondering if anyone has a website address for a workshop that builds rb30 det's... thinking about it. Approximate cost... don't trust myself to do it myself!

Hey guys, Hope someone can help with a noise that's recently started up... Sort of a "zzzzz" noise, seems to be in second and third gears mostly (maybe just can't hear it at higher speed), but I think I've heard it in 1st before as well. Was thinking turbo, as odo reads 216000km and I've had it since 14000 without replacing it. No oil in the inlet pipes however... Definately seems to be coming from under the bonnet as I can't hear it with the windows up. Doesn't do it free reving. Seems to do it only when warmed up. When it starts making the noise, it goes away immediately as I accelerate.... haven't been booting it too hard since it started though... Please, has anyone got any ideas or tests I could carry out (short of removing the turbo, yet)....

How are fibreglass illegal because they don't crumple?? Heaps of kit cars etc have fg bodies and even xtrails have plastic front guards that also wouldn't crumple....

Hey guys, I used to live in Canberra and just spoke to one of my mates who's a copper.... Went to an accident yesterday or day before where a GTR driver hit a biker who'd come off... apparently pretty much took off his leg.... just hoping it's not one of you guys... sounded vaguely like the most recent car SINISTA has been driving... White with carbon bonnet. Apparently was totally legal, not his fault, but just hoping it wasn't any of you. Pretty distressing thing.

Hey mate, I'm a Duco Magic technician in coffs harbour, but there are heaps of us around australia... Try to find one in your area (if you pm me I can try to find one through head office if you like)... We all work on a satisfaction guaranteed policy (I'm always honest about the expected result, and so are any established techs), and match most colours on the spot... the prob with ordering factory touch up paint is that colours vary so much between batches of cars even of the same colour... time also fades paint....

Most 32s seem to act like this.... some of you may disagree, but after filling up from empty on boost98 (yeah I know heaps of you say it's bad, but I wanted to see for myself), mine seems to start heaps better now.... go figure??

Festool kicks ass... but bugger the waxes and get duco magic to cpp the whole car.... not cheap, but very very glossy and lasts for years...
